VFS usually provides decent services but post covid they have become very greedy and unprofessional

They are making sure regular appointments are not available and only prime time or premium appointments with a heavy fee

being a monopoly showing their true nature!

Just arrange all your documents together in a file
Important points to remember:
1. Carry multiple copies from home itself
2. Whichever country you're applying visa for, they require a certain photograph size which isn't same as passport size, so check that out
3. Incase you don't have a document print out, don't worry, they have an printing shop in the mall which few steps from the vfs
4. Be on time
5. Be organized

Recently went to VFS AbuDhabi for Shengen Visa family application and had a very smooth process. First, our appointment got a week earlier, thanks to French Consulate UAE. Located on The Mall WTC, it’s on prime location and is quite easy to locate. When we arrived, it’s pleasantly systematic from taking a ticket to an external counters where your documents are prescreened and where you get to choose how you want the Visa processed - Standard or VIP. Since peak season is almost over, we chose Standard and paid the minimum AED120.0 per application. Inside the center was again organized with lots of chairs to accommodate the applicants. We immediately got called and were assisted on the counter with helpful Indian lady staff (I forgot to get her name, sorry). Everything was smooth and all documents on the list of requirements were accepted - be sure to have a copy of all documents per applicant including flight tickets, hotel bookings, etc. There is a photo copy booth inside the center in case you need its service. We only got a minor hiccup with the photos as the ones we got from external photo studio was wrong. If in doubt - better use the photo station inside the center and the charge is just the same as outside, if not cheaper. It took us only an hour and a half to get everything finished, biometrics station waiting line is where the most held up occur but all in all was really fast and smooth. And the best part? We got the Visa after 3 days only delivered on our doorstep. Thank you VFS and amazing job you are doing there.

Wonderful staff, but horrible appointment system. (It seems appointments are just to limit the daily intake. Otherwise, its a first come-first serve).

Was waiting 2+hrs to be called for an appointment and was really irritated. But let me say sincerely.interaction with your staff: Ms. Sruthi Chandran melted the stress away. I would give her 5/5 stars. The professionalism, attitude and care is worth mentioning. She’s doing a wonderful work & great that you have her.

Beyond VFS practices (you may talk about them hours and hours), I believe this particular application center works extremely well.
The overloads in Schengen visa applications are mostly due to covid and post-covid congestion, but i believe it will get better in time.
The application center may be more careful about the slots allocated though.

I don't want to talk about anyting but our cashier there. Ms Srijata Ghoshal Bandyopadhyay. She is one brilliant lady doing everything she can to make the whole visa application process flow smoothly. I would like to thank her for her support and help during the process.

They really try to make the process as smooth as possible even with all the requirements and people not having all the correct documentation. The people who helped me were all very friendly and even though one of my documents weren’t sufficient they guided me through it and I could get the correct one before closure.

Terrible service. Extremely unprofessional, premium service for more than 240 Dhs / visit and you still would wait for over 1.5 hours to complete your appointment. This is besides the fact that you already booked an appointment like 2 months back. Imagine that you have to wait over 1.5 hours besides a fixed appointment slot and paying a premium service.

I would suggest everyone to stay away from this premium service bait, you are better off in regular line and would be served faster in that line directly.

Very long queues, extremely unorganized, and overall very inefficient. They have a monopoly on visa processing, so there is no reason for them to do a better job!

The next appointment in 2 months away! And I paid AED 650 compared to the 150 I used to pay before. The waiting lines inside takes 2-4 hrs. Any missed documents then you need to get a new appointment. A horrible experience.

In summary:

Next appointment is month away
Staff are not aware of what documents to submit.

Advantages
If you want to pay the premium the. You better opt for them to visit your place for 1000 AED.

It’s very ineffective and inefficient service, I went to VSF global as per my appointment that I got online at 12: 30 noontime, and till now 4: 02 pm I’m still there! It’s ridiculous! I I don’t know what the online appointment and time time are for if I’m going to wait for four hours to get submit all my documents. Worst place ever! I don’t understand why embassies still working with this company! Unbelievable waste of time.

Premium lounge / premium service is just a lie. There is no dedicated staff for premium services, you'll pay the money and just get regular service like everyone. Getting appointment online is really tough, sometimes earliest slot is more than 2 months away. Otherwise, service is good.

We all know about global cooperation companies having centralized customer service centre’s to be precise and professional, but at-least it has to be helpful. Call center staff themselves are good and want to help you, however, the guidelines and limitations of help they got from management is really useless. So 2/5 for call centre, Visa application process is 3.5/5 very crowded. Place is 4/5 for WTC

As the spouse of an German Pasport holder, I would expect a fair priority. After waiting 2hours at the VIP section I am still no closer to submitting my documents. 16 counters but only 5 occupied by staff. For Visas there is NO other option so they cant be bothered to improve the service. Absolutely disgusting!

They're polite as employees, but the delivery dates is not in their hands, they kept my passport for more than 60 days, taking my passport early also means a heafty fee.
And I couldn't find any means of calling them by phone, it's either email or in person.

Even one Star is too generous. Not Enough staff. You have to wait minimum one hour to get the call from document processor. I applied on 19-Oct-21 for Visa processing to Turkey. They told me i will get my passport back in 2 weeks. After 20 Days they called me and told me to submit Original Bank Statement which i already submitted on 20-Oct-21. This is how they work. Better follow up yourself instead of waiting for them to reply. Pathetic Customer Service. No direct call to get visa status update. Their monopoly needs to be end!

Worst customer support service I’ve ever seen, and I doubt anyone works more than 30mins a day there. My passport has been ready for 3 days and they texted me that it has been dispatched but nothing was received. It is probably lost it and i paid 50 dhs for this useless courier service, if i can rate them negative stars i would love to, please apply directly to embassies and don’t waste a dirham on this…

Although i can see that there are so many negative comments about the service of VFS Abu Dhabi, my experience was quite opposite. I had a good experience with them. I went for biometrics enrollment for Canada migration. The process took about 30 minutes and i was quite happy with the experience.

Only advice to people who are going there will be to stick to your appointment time. Even if you reach early, they wont let you in, so please stick to your appointment time.

Location on map is not accurate so just follow this one, premium service lacks staff so unless the manager decides to add normal number of employees per tokens, u ll not receive a premium service but an earlier appointment which for most ppl the most important, place is okay, employees are trying their best
Theres printing and photo-shooting services so dont panic if u haven’t printed out ur documents

The worst experience I've ever had in my life. I got my appointment at 1 pm and I was there 10 minutes earlier as they requested but I had then to wait till 5: 15 pm in order to be served. More than four hours waiting, that's bsolutely insane! VFS's never been like that.

I wish I could sue them or something like that. I had booked my appointment for 12: 30pm and they made me wait for 5+ hours, they have 54 counters and only 5 counters are functional. I don’t know of any other way to apply for visa as well. Worst experience ever. I had a lot of work pending and I just had to wait over there for my visa. Extremely disappointed

Reception staff are very rude and not cooperative at all.

The website clearly mentioned:
(Clients who have not scheduled an appointment via our online system can attend as walk-ins by paying an additional fees.)

I went as walk in and I said i need to get this done with urgently as I am on business trip but the lady receptionist said (everyone is saying it’s urgent so I am returning back clients (proudly) to book an appointment even if it was urgent or business trip)!

This is the first time I encounter such an answer and VFS being a service provider must be cooperative and have professional staff who would support clients not make their experience a nightmare.

Now I will be missing my business trip because of this. Very unprofessional on all levels.

I changed my rating from 4 stars on the past to only 1 star and I believe that they deserve much less. The staff is rude. The secretary for England visa was very rude to me when I came to withdraw my application. They do not have a phone connected and I had to come from Al Ain to ask a question. I do not recommend this branch to anyone. VFS in Dubai is much better, if you can apply there, otherwise nothing can be done. Very disappointing service.

Very poor service does not even deserve a 1 star.firstly we need to wait for 3+ hours to submit all the documents.we submit our file on october 5,2021 the embassy of swiss received it 6th then already stamped before 18th our flight is 20 or we can push it till 24 but they tooked them till 31st to dispatch the passport.open viewing our visa the allowed daye of the embassy is only 19th to 31st.we went to collect and tried to complain on nov 1st the manager straighly lied to my face that they have the passport ready by 18th why i didn't went and pick it up which in their website it's still in transit.and then he tried to cover it with another lie that in their system they sent a message on 18th it's etisalat or du's fault for not delovering the message.such a straight lie.then i respond to him so gmail is also delayed like etisalat and du and also your website is delay is that what you're saying? The guy didn't answer.in the end they won't do anything to resolve it.i wasted my money time the requirements fee and most of all my annual leave.i already submitted a complain for the consumer rights i have all the updates, email, even the parking ticket to prove that i kept on going there to get an update.lets see if the authorities can do somerhing to compensate.i have all the evidence necessary.

I hope this message finds you well. I had received my UK visa on 13th December 2020. My vignette expired and was unable to travel. In December I renewed my vignette again, but was unable to travel. Finally in august 2021 I renewed my vignette but I did not receive a decision letter along with the passport, but there was a new vignette. So should I show the same home office document at the airport which I received previously?

Unfortunately it was an extremely bad experience. For those who are applying to the Greece Visa process, please make sure you provide extra supporting documentation because the premium service person does not check and just puts it in a bag to be dispatched. So don’t go there thinking that you are in good hands, be prepared. The premium service is definitely not worth it as there is absolutely no value add.

VFS Stands for Visa Facilitation Services Global
check before you go if you need to go as there are some counties not there

I applied for VISA as my documents were complete they collect them and send it
Small advice just read more about what you need as documents better than going and coming more than one time a day or some time they will close and you will not be able to apply

Very disappointed I renew my passport last March 31,2021 until now my passport is not ready. They are not also responsive for the concern. Its better to renew in Philippine Embassy you will pay only 240AED no need to pay the extra service charge 100AED. In VFS theres a extra charge for printing their forms and for the SMS message and email. And you will pay 100AED for their service charge and their service is not worth it.

I am so disappointed that I made the Renewal of my passport last April 12 2021 and still my passport is not available. My New Job that I am about to be part with is now affected. I choose VFS because I know that they can help me to expedite my request. I am wondering that its better I made it in Philippine Embassy with No extra Charge or Cost.

Also trying to call there number 024120251 no one is picking up the phone since I visited the website shows that they are open 8: 00 am to 8: 00 pm. They are not responsive. Around 50 calls (Estimated).

Very quiet and clean place, if you have done everything properly before the appointment, you will not spend more than 20 minutes here.

They will collect your required documents mostly you original passport and you then will have a biometric fingerprint plus the photograph, the other required documents can be easily uploaded online by you before attending the appointment.

They are very helpful and respectful.

Probably worst service on the planet, their customer service doesn't even try to resolve problems, I applied for a Turkish Visa and its already 2 months and haven't heard anything back.if there is a negative rating I would absolutely put -5.

Provide 2 counter for printing purposes instead of sending people to VASCO where they pay 5 AED/ page. It suppose to be internal service by VFS instead of involving 3rd company.

I don't understand the unnecessary checking and locking/unlocking door by security.

I am really upset by the unethical way VFS global functions in Abudhabi.
When you apply online for visa -the system will show some error- and you cannot take an appointment date! Naturally you will opt for premium -Walk in service where you pay 250AED! It happened to me twice, so it clearly indicates that its not coincidence. I really wonder why anyone doesn't take this matter to higher authorities. I have applied Europe/Schengen visa many times from other places, without any of these issues!
These issues could be rectified if they had a competitor, another agency who could do services in a systematic and honest way.

The location is very central and easily accessible. The staff however are not very knowledgeable despite calling them in advance they did not provide accurate information for a seamless experience of document submission and this did running from pillar to post to acquire specific documents the information of which is not available on the website nor provided by the call centre.

Horrible customer service. Invalid money making methods and systems. Terrible website and booking system.
Just the worst experience every time I use their services knowing I was forced to use it for the past 5 years due to the unavailability of other channels.
Unfortunately I am obliged to use these services as they have dominated the visa services for a lot of countries. If there was another option I would definitely try it but this is full on taking advantage of people’s situations and right on hustling.

This is a a paid SERVICE for visa. The S in VFS is for SERVICE. It is not acceptable to have one person on reception during peak season causing long que just to get a number. Even when you do have an appointment!
You would expect a smooth transactions considering the high fees charged for the services. There is no excuse for so many unstaffed counters during peak season.

Extremely incompetent staff and services. I filed a complaint on the 26th of may and until now there has been no follow up. I paid for premier service 350 AED for my passport to be delivered and I just received a message to pick up my passport. I tired to call them to verify and the number provided on the website is not working.

Its really sad that they have monopoly over this services and the Embassies insist on using them.

I have been trying to register an account for booking an appointment for my UK visa. However, your website for UK visa application appointments from UAE is buggy. It initially asks me to register an account. The link never reaches my email (I have checked both my inbox and junk folders). I then click the button to resend the account activation link to my email address through your website. The link gets sent to me this time. However, when I press the link in the activation email that has been sent to me, the account activation doesn't happen successfully and your system informs me that the link had expired and that I have to re-register my account again, even though at the time I would have clicked the link right away. This has been repeating endlessly for the past 2 days, and as a result I am unable to book an appointment for submitting my UK Visa application! PLEASE FIX YOUR SYSTEMS AND HELP ME!

Unethical service for UK visa application.vfs force you when trying to book an appointment for doc submission to take services like premium lounge and other extras just for the sake of money.and even when you mention that u need to pay for the basic service they still charge you for premium in your bill.no escape.although I applied on UK website since 16 April I still can't book my appointment with vfs till today. I visited even their office and called the help line.surprisingly they refuse to provide any assistance. Everything is done to prevent you from your right as consumer to choose what to pay for. Tried to pay online for the premium service. System crashed and they still took 700USD. I have been battling with them for the last 3 weeks to get my money returned and all i get is excuses and requests to resend the transaction details. Really hopeless and no one sensible to call and talk too. Be very careful before you use their online services. Not sure if anyone really cares as they force us to use them. Real pity as the service at the centre was fine.

Poor service! I had two wait more than 40 minutes even for a very simple operation - passport collection. Very limited parking space, short working hours. Definitely, I cannot recommend this place. Dissatisfied.

Very poor service. I went for legalization of my marriage certificate from German embassy. People who are sitting in the counters has no idea about the docydocum needed or whether it can be done from embassy. They made me wait for half a day and the manager came and told she spoke to embassy people and I cannot do it from here.she told she is the only one who has the correct information no one else knows about it. I spend 360 DHS for translation and my time and money has gone total waste

It use to be better, but long ago. On my recent visit, I have used Premium services. But my appointment was delayed almost one hour. At the refreshment counter, Coffee makes was out of order. Seating was untidy. I have mentioned this all to the agent who took my application.but it was really disappointing. They use to have better services before but now, I wish if I could give something less than a 1 star.

Requirements are not always clear, Each country has it is own requirements which isn't written on the website! Might lose ur appointment fees as you will need more appointments to get the updated documents!

Parking can be challenging in morning.
Try to come before appointment time as there are queues early morning.
Without appointment fees could be very expensive.
