I stayed at the Al Ain Rotana from January 14 - January 23. Overall I really enjoyed my stay there and would definitely go back if I was ever in Al Ain. There was one thing that happened that definitely marred my experience a bit so let's get that out of the way first.
I do not like people in my room. When I go to a hotel the first thing I do is hang the do not disturb sign on the door, or in some hotels flick on the light for do not disturb. I just generally do not like people in my room, but I also am a germaphobe. The first thing I do when I get in my room is clean everything with Clorox wipes. I even bring my own towels, and trust me people, this isn't paranoia. I have never stayed at a hotel where I didn't find something questionable. When I was putting my own towels out, as I was moving the hotels towels out of the way into the closet, I saw one of the towel had a huge dirt smudge on it.
Anyway, on my second day there, as I was leaving my room to go out, I passed one of the housekeeping staff. As I mentioned, my DND light was on. It's never off. When I got back a few hours later, all my stuff had been moved and they had even touched my towels. To say I was angry was an understatement. The DND light was on. They never should have gone inside. I spoke to the front desk about it and they assured me they would send an e-mail to the housekeeping staff that under no circumstances were they to enter my room again. I assume they took care of it because I didn't have another incident after that, although it did make me anxious every time I left the room, especially if I passed one of the housekeeping staff as I was leaving. That unpleasant incident aside, I really enjoyed my stay there.
The hotel staff was always pleasant, professional, and helpful. The breakfast buffet offered a wide variety of foods and juices and they were all delicious. The pool was big and it was nice to sit at one of the tables and enjoy a nice drink or just sit and relax and read a book. Ramen at the poolside bar makes delicious drinks. Trader Vic's has a nice vibe and the hostess is always so friendly. I didn't eat there so I can't speak to the food (although judging by the other tables it looks amazing) but I really liked to sit and have a drink there some nights. The Bahia was delicious. (Basically it's a pina colada.)
The room I had on the 3rd floor (Pool View Room with Balcony (New Wing) - King Bed) was a really nice size and it was nice to sit on the balcony in the mornings and see all the beautiful scenery as the sun was coming up. If I go back to Al Ain, I'll probably request a room on the first floor because the balcony is much bigger (it's a square size as opposed to the rectangle sized balconies on the third floor). I know that some of the first floor rooms come with a washer and dryer but I don't know if all of them do. Either way, I very much enjoyed my stay at the Al Ain Rotana and look forward to maybe coming back in the future.
We had a brilliant time at Rotana Al Ain recently. We stayed in the executive suite on level 3 of the hotel. We cannot over state the quality of the hotel, it is definitely a 5 stars hotel. The hospitality provided by all the staff we encounter was superb. The buffets by the Zest restaurant was delicious. We did not had a chance to try the gym but looking in from outside it does look well equipped. Our children definitely enjoy the swimming pool which is not busy and prefect size for the guests.
Special mention to Jessie (from SA) & Lamie at the reception desk who were very welcoming. Hussein & Sham the bell boy were quick to helps us with our luggages. Hussein was also knowledgeable to the immediate surrounding of the hotel. Not to forget Anil & Christian (Lifeguard), they're very friendly and keep my kids safe at the pool. Manpreet & Yosef (Zest) always smiling and tentative especially at breakfast. These are few names of many friendly and welcoming staff at Rota Al Ain. We definitely highly will recommend to stay in Rotana Al Ain to our family and friends. Thank you
Excellent hotel and service. Mr Hossam was very kind at the front desk and made our family stay special. Kids play area was a delight for kids, really enjoyed it.
For what I know about Rotana hotel it's a nice place for everyone they are good care to their guests and respect.oh God is nice and lovely place it's make you feel at home let God bless the work of their head
Good hotel for the price, service may have to be improved a bit, the hotel management should consider to have the required materials and supply on board rather than calling them every few mins for a brush tooth paste etc.
The service is bad Although we booked a suite for more than one person and paid the cost of breakfast at the time of booking, they asked that we pay for more than one person in the morning breakfast. They were late in preparing the room and take the bags
Had a good experience overall. The service was good, rooms were spacious, and amenities were also of good standards. Would recommend a stay at the hotel.
The Filipino gentleman that checked me in, is the one redeeming aspect of the entire place. The 3 bedroom Villa is extremely cheap as well, a mere 2750 Dirhams per night for one person, if memory serves me right. But the neighbors, mostly riffraff bourgeoisie, can be a bit noisy.
Al ain Rotana all inclusive stay Warm welcoming staff greeted us at the door our luggage was taken from us while we checked it and again greeted with friendly helpful staff. Our room was nice it's an older hotel so bathrooms and rooms are older styled but spacious and extremely clean with everything we needed. The pool has the nicest staff that really went above and beyond on our stay making sure we always had drinks and that any food we ordered was prompt and was always served hot and delicious we tried Nachos, tempura prawns, pizza, caesar salad, the fruit platter & the curly fries everything was really nice and portions are big. For our evening meal we chose the Lebanese restaurant on the 1st night and the food was delicious perfectly cooked and served on it's own charcoal filled mini grill that kept everything hot and sizzling we enjoyed it so much we chose to eat there again on our second night and had the exact same food lamb grill for my husband chic tikka (shish tawook) for me served with hummus garlic paste and lots of freshly baked bread so yummy. Breakfast is buffet style with staff helping to serve due to carona restrictions and social distancing with coffee and juices brought to your table all very nice with lots of options we had omelettes that were made to order then added beans, mushrooms and hash browns from the buffet followed by fruit salad, waffles & cinabon. Every member of staff we came across was lovely friendly and helpful, but big shout out to our friendly staff from the pool Haitham, Gedie & Sony they really went above and beyond making our stay perfect and also appeared at night helping with recommendations & serving in Min Zaman the Lebanese restaurant.
The lifeguards at the pool do a fantastic job all interacting and reasoning with kids and adults alike as to why rules where in place and it was all done with smiles and patience that was commendable. It was our 1st visit to Al ain rotana but it wont be our last and we will be recommending to friends and also anyone else that asks thank you we've had the best 3 days in a long long time Thank you Al ain rotana
Had a wonderful family trip at 2 Bed room chalet.very spacious rooms and easy access to pool. Since the chalet is separated from from main building, it was more isolated and safer.staff was very social and helpful.we had a memorable trip
I booked 1 room for 2 nights but when cheked in I asked for 2 rooms and the reception offered me 2 room villa for the price of 2 rooms which was excellent, thanks Nevertheless noise the whole night from neighboring villa was so loud and complaints to the reception didn't help Next day I requested again to move out of the villa and have a 2 separate room but hotel duty manager offered to move me us to 2 bedroom shaleh, thanks After moving to the shaleh we found the quality and standard of the shaleh was very poor. 2nd bathroom very small and not in suite and rusty. Only advantage to the room was that we park our car in the shade next to the shaleh and full kitchen which we didn't need anyway Breakfast variety was good and service was good but food quality was very average and sometimes poor and tasteless No fresh orange juice, veryv poor quality breads, poor drinks variety, no variety of cheeses, no variety of salads
It’s all about details. Day 3 I add video, manager promised help but no one even said sorry for problems with water leaking so I add one more photo, this is truth about Rotana Al Ain, they don’t care about customers because they are the only 4 (5) star hotel in the middle of the city and they know they will still have clients in the hotel even in the damaged or old rooms (this type of room is renovated and more expensive compare to normal one)
Trader Vic's: Never a second time has it been good. It is what one can conclude after repeating in Trader Vic's. I'm not saying it was wrong, but I can't stop comparing with the first time, when I was delighted. This time, although good, the experience was a bit off the mark. A confusion with what my wife ordered, and what the innkeeper understood, almost ruined my family reunion. However, "wisely" someone decided (without my noticing) that that person should not continue to serve us. Beer was the reason for the misunderstanding. He brought us three long pitchers, but we had ordered only two, with three glasses of ice to share between five people. The truth was that the beer was so cold, and of such a pleasant flavor, that it well deserved to have accepted the mistake of the innkeeper. My wife and I again shared the same long-remembered seafood grill flavor from the previous time, but this time it was sparser in variety and quantity, and I would say less flavorful. I recognize that it is a risk to order a seafood grill in the middle of the desert, but one assumes that the prices could make that difference from fantasy to reality. It is still a very pleasant place to visit, but yes, one must be willing to pay high prices to enjoy it.
Horrible place, I payed for my 5 year old daughter for a day to use the pool. The guys at the pool, Salim came to us and was so rude, I can’t believe that how come this big hotel have such a untrained people working Horrible place. Pool was not even clean, then also we thought we already came so let her swim, shame shame He told us to stand near the pool and can’t take chairs to sit just because we payed only for our daughter Can’t even imagine, how they can’t allow us to use chairs, Big name comes with a big responsibility And in Al Ain, this management is spoiling the name and it’s clearly seen. Bad place to visit, no hospitality
Amazing hotel, very comfortable room and facilities, service is amazing, employees are dedicated and show readiness to serve the customer with the best they can
The pool and the body line gym are the best places to chill and workout. The ambience is soothing. The staff is friendly. My favourite haunt in Al ain.
This is a Vaste hotel in the Al Ain. No one pleas don't come to stay in this hotel. Room service are very bad and if you call for any help to the resception they will behave like very rough. It's a Vaste hotel.
Great hotel, rooms are really spacious and service is optimum. The food at the restaurant is very tasty and of high quality. The only minor issue is at rush hour elevators can be slow. Enjoyed my stay at Al Ain Rotana
Not a 5 star. The property is old and not well maintained. You will see dust everywhere in room (careful if you have dust alergies). Make note that the room actually overlooks some AC ducts on the roof of ballroom and not garden or pool as they show in pictures, good luck if they have an event going. You wont be able to sleep, it's very loud. Lastly, do not book it at promotional rates, they would treat you terribly and put you in worst room possible if they have high occupancies.
Stayed here for one night. All i have to say is, they need to remove all the carpets. I had the worse night ever with allergies and sinus headache. Besides that, it was a nice stay. And i loved the bathtub
Facilities were good, but the service was poor, not planned and they were lazy in doing their work. The swimming pool was great fun. Their table tennis table is broken.
I came from Abu Dhabi to Alain city and stayed at the hotel to attend a conference, but I couldn't sleep in the night, the walls are not a sound isolated, I can hear everything in the neighbor room, the Ac too hot.
Nice hotel to visit, good reception and most outlets have good food and service. Just a bit over priced compared to the old fashion decor and mood.needs renovation.
