Bord Eau

Service started out well, as is to be expected from a 5-star establishment but it was made memorable by the unintrusive friendly banter with our server, a little later into our meal. We had the steak which was decent, the fish with bouillabaisse gravy which was also nice. I was apprehensive that the bouillabaisse would be a little over-powering but it was perfect. To finish, a heart-warming black forest cake shared - but better off if we had one each.

Lovely French restaurant with a nice view of Sheikh Zayed mosque.
Nice food, I tried the "From the sea" menu, it's a sharing size order that's enough for two people.
For dessert I tried the chocolate forest which wasn't special, and the chocolate extravaganza which was slightly better but still not special.
Good selection of wine and nice staff.
Will visit again

Cristmas Eve at Bord Eau, Shangri-La, Abu Dhabi had the perfect ambience set for the celebration. Friendly staffs, amazing hospitality and tasty food.

I have been invited for a late dinner by my friends, who are very regular guests of Bord Eau restaurant. Dinner was just great. We picked a table out door with outstanding view of Grand Mosque. All members of staff team were super friendly, positive, and full of recommendations. (I am not really familiar with French cuisine:) ) but this place also good for celebrating very special occasions. We ordered some appetizers and main course. Everything was tasty. Highly recommended!

The chicken itself is much better quality than KFC for example. I did not get any fatty pieces under the skin. The fries are really good too. Portion size is fairly generous so bring your appetite!
