Cho Gao Restaurant & Lounge

Ordered a char kwayteow beef for AED 80 plus.
The food is so dry and it doesn’t taste good at all. There were so less beef. Very low quality food for such high price. At this quality, it should be sold at AED 20. I don’t recommend this place to anyone. Thought it’s going to be very good. Total ban. Never going to order from this place ever again. Total waste of money!

Every thing was perfect food and staff welcoming specially my dear Thin? Really enjoyed my time yesterday with my friends and for sure it will be not the last time ️extremely recommended

This restaurant is a top notch in food and in customer service! We enjoyed every entree served! The staff and the Manager Thin are very helpful, friendly and attentive. I will surely come back with my family and friends indeed. Kudos to Thin and her team for such a wonderful food and excellent service!

Very good impression from this place - food was delicious, the staff was extremely helpful. We’ve celebrated birthday and they have presented us a cake with a candle - it was so sweet. Really worth visiting!

Just celebrated my daughter's birthday. Everything was perfect good, ambiance. Wanted to try authentic pan Asian foods, this is a place to go.

Wonderful staff and atmosphere. It is inside the Crown Plaza hotel. Walk in from the valet parking and head to the opposite end of the building. Parking was sus, none of the machines seemed to work. So gave up and valet'd, who just parked it where we tried to anyways. Oh well.

Ordered the appetizer sampler that came with beef and chicken skewers, some prawn dimsum style shumei, and vegetable spring rolls. Beef tasted a bit old. Chicken had a strange texture to it but good flavour. The vegetable spring rolls were good but tasted a bit fishy. I had hoped to escape the "everything tastes of fish" pitfall by going to a restaurant in an international hotel, but oh well.

The panang curry and the green curry were delicious. Some of the best standard Thai food, even including in Thailand. There was so much meat in the curry and just so much food. The rice was a huge helping. The sauce was rich and thick, very developed flavours. Would order again without hesitation.

Also got some strawberry mojitos (virgin) and they were very tasty.

The staff were ontop of it. Quick to seat, bring menus, take care of ordering, and the cheque. Was checked on multiple times, and had zero complaints!

We went there to celebrate a birthday of our Kuya with Shallah friends. The place was cozy, friendly and accommodating staff. There's a lot of variety in the menu to from all asian cousine. And I mostly like the "Peking Duck" which is everyones all time favorite. The food we ordered was nicely presented, very savory and deliciously good. Budget wise, well a bit costly to be honest. We'll definitely come back to visit and try other menus. Thank you for an amazing night.

Absolutely amazing! The place is beautiful and staff are super friendly and the food is delicious. Wine, beer juices are served! It's definitely not like other expensive restaurants will come back for more.

Great interior and very quiet place. Good as a business lunch location, but could do better with food.

Tried their peking duck and papaya salad for lunch. The wrappers were a bit too dry to roll, and the duck was too dry and chewy.

Nice staff, helpful and attentive. The food was very nice, you could taste that the fish used was of high quality.

It a ok restaurant, the location is ok. To be honest the duck and sweet and sour shrimp was my favorite dishes. I don’t know maybe I wasn’t lucky with food but what I am sure that I had a better than this

Dnt go there unless u r looking for very good and kind staff and I think wine but the food there is a big no. Look for promos before u go there

Decided to take visiting family from the UK earlier this evening, worst decision. Sorry to say it although the staff did try to serve us nicely - it was beyond difficult to hear each other over the music. Mains took exceptionally long time to arrive, and the food taste and appearance was below average.

Excellent Service. The Papaya Salad was wet and lumpy. The Tom Yum Soup watery. Their signature cocktails are very good! They must look at some benchmark around! They seem very complacent

We were invited to attend Asian market night which is celebrated every Wednesday and it’s a buffet offering a wide array of Asian cuisine from fresh salads, appetizers, soup, main course and desserts.
Food was absolutely delicious with so many options that it was difficult to choose what to eat and what to leave but whatever we ate gave our taste buds the best level of satisfaction. They have a live sea food and fresh meat counter as well where you can choose meat/ sea food along with seasonings of your choice and they will make it fresh and will serve you in minutes

We went for dinner at Cho Gao, Hamdan tonight. Service part was better than the food for us. All the staff were attentive and helpful. The drinks were also delightful. We ordered rae papaya salad, pho soup, tom yam chicken soup, steamed dumplings, virgin mojitos, nasigoraeng among others. We liked the papaya salad and chips.

My son had a birthday and wanted to go for a brunch. We decided on the Cho Gao Duplex brunch. The beautiful brunch was well put together, but the service was even better.

Thin, Lia, and Ren all helped us out, making sure that we had a fantastic family birthday meal.

Excellent food, friendly staff. Try their Prawns Tempura and Nasi Goreng. Sushi nights are the best.

We went tonight for the asian market buffet deal. Ms. Petrocelli took in charge and provided an excellent service that we were impressed. She made sure to deliver an outstanding experience. Ambience is very nice, food is amazing. Really enjoyed and sure will come back soon.

Great ambiance. Good service. Very good food. What more do you want. A very romantic atmosphere for couples to go and have a dinner date. That is what I did with my husband on his birthday. Overall a very cherished and a soothing experience for us.

I love this restaurant because of delicious food and excellent service every worker is sweet and caring and the assistant manager ms. Thin is super super sweet and professional, I’ve been in this restaurant for many many time in a very short time of period and will go more definitely thanks to workers and ms. Thin

Fabulous spot. Great food, great music, great decor and great selection of drinks. Staff are super nice.
And the biggest bonus is that it's non-smoking

The food is not tasty. Cheap food sold expensive and does not match the status of the hotel where the restaurant is located. Also does not mutch its raiting. Staff there keep always asking, “is everything good? ” Seens like they know that food is not that ok. But 2nd star this place gets from me for staff’s hospitality. They were very kind and helpful.

Cho Gao is an amazing place to taste asian cuisine. I don't know too much ti tell you about how authentic it was, but i loved everything! Prices are high but portions are pretty big

Asian fare served in a good ambience with decent taste and presentation. Serves Asian beer and alcohol. Their themed nights are very good with Sushi nights being the most popular (limited dishes but great taste). Their service is one of the best. Special thanks to Allysan and Thin for enhancing our dining experience with their warmth and service.

Delicious Thai food at reasonable prices. Good ambience and location. Staffs were helpful, accommodating and courteous especially Mr. Vergel.

I visited this place a couple of times when I used to live in Abu Dhabi.

Their staff is so helpful with some excellent service. I tried their sushi and Beef Rendang (for the first time) and really loved it.

When I entered the restaurant I thought they don't have that much space inside but I was wrong coz they can accommodate a lot of people for a big party or gathering. Valet parking at the backside is a plus plus.

On my last visit, there were some entertainer Thai girls and I loved their dance.a very economical place to have some nice dinner especially if you have a Zomato gold offer.

I miss it so much and would love to go there soon whenever I will visit Abu Dhabi again.

Experience authentic Thai/Chinese food, the friendliness of its staff is a bonus. They also offer buffet package with alcohol beverage at 249 or without alcohol beverages at 149 per person.

Nice food, especially with the all you can eat sushi deal. Much better service than the one at Intercontinental, probably because its much smaller

The brunch was wonderful. The oysters, sushi and Asian food were very good. The staff was attentive and were quick to remove empty plates and bring fresh cocktails. We will be back.

Nice staff Sonai and the beautiful Thin but the food was a bit mixed on this occasion. It was kind of 'hit and miss'.

The place is really nice but they almost made us to sit in a seperate tables in order to use our Entertainer voucher and it was really weird. I hope they could improve the way they deal with the customers.

I have always been a fan of cho gao since 2014.love the ambience, the choice of good food and drinks but one constant thing that makes me come back again each time is the lovely staff. They have been warm friendly and very accommodating to guests needs since day 1. That's y I always choose to celebrate some very special days of my life hea. Supervisor Thin, Nicole and Sonai are ur best staff, treasure them I say. The chicken dumplings hea are to die for, mie goreng and tom yum soup are some of my favourites.thank u guys

Tried the place on Tuesday for sushi night, it’s small choice not all kinds of sushi available (it should be clearly mentioned)

Taste of sushi is great and it’s really fresh, sashimi and salmon nigiri is awesome, also tried the octopus, superb

One of the best option for Asian cuisine in Abu Dhabi. Good location, friendly staffs, reasonably priced and delicious foods. Ideal for meeting friends and colleagues.

We were a group of three and ordered two Vietnamese noodles and one full crispy Peking duck. A bit pricey but portions were large. Peking Duck was not made in the authentic way (roasted and with mostly skin and little meat), it was oven grilled and very dry. Not recommended if you are looking for authentic Asian foods.

Lovely experience! If you are looking for a traditional japanese cuisine or some extra, that's the place! Good quality buffet and excellent treatment. Don't need reservations and accept the entertainment (which is a bonus).
