El Chico Mexican Restaurant

My favorite Mexican restaurant in Abu Dhabi. I also commend the staff; they are kind, accommodating and professional.

Nice place my first experience but for sure not the last having Mr. Enock restaurant manager who give the best recommendations to enjoy a lovely meal

I'm not surprised this restaurant was empty. We were the only guests and the service was inattentive and slow. The food was very disappointing too.

El Chico is always one of my choice when I crave Mexican foods or a good affordable steak. They have narrowed down their menu now.

I always love the taste of their food, even the complimentary chips and salsa.

I had dinner long time and I cameback because the food was delicious but this time I’m disappointed the food wasn’t great as before Not good taste, missing (Love) I hope you guys improve

The food in the menu is not the same when it is served, the tenderloin is thick in the picture while they gave us very small and thin portion, we ordered medium well and they gave us well done. The quesadillas doesn't look cook either the cuts of the onions, bell pepper are too big.

Giving 2 stars only for the staff. She was very kind and polite. Never had taco before so i choose this place to try it, the waitress was always checking if the food and drinks was up to the expectations, very kind of her, but sadly the food wasn't. Not a great impression and the prices are kinda greedy compared to the other places.

Guacamole was a canned dip tasting only of food preserver, salsa was acid and flavorless, enchillada was an overcooked heap of ground meat rolled in a tortilla with no condiment. Worst dinner in 2021 so far.

Stay far away!
None of the food seemed to be prepared onsite. The guacamole was disgusting. The service was very very slow (only 1 guy) even though there was almost no one. 172 AED spent for very low quality

Food is delicious and service is great.
It’s a quiet place to have a nice meal on a weekend … worth the money
Giving it a 4 star only because of the Resturant view is indoor and doesn’t have an outdoor option

Food was low quality, I do not recommend going to this place. Food was extremely dry. I gave it a 2 star because the manager apologized, the lady waitress was friendly, and the iced tea was okay.

To start up main course Nachos is free with their spicy salsa -please reduce the spicyness good service FOOD is Great FAJITAS! Can’t complain about it! Nice and quiet place!

The restaurant was unequivocally average and the service was mediocre. We ordered the brisket tacos and the chicken quesadillas - the beef was a little dry, the onions and peppers were cut too thick and the beans were straight from the can. Tbh, they probably heated it up in a microwave. We would've had dessert, but they didn't have any.at 9: 30 on Thursday night. They also seem to be rationing out their sour cream, it was 12 dhs for a little extra. It is also very warm in the restaurant, "because of the mall".

Visited El Chico at World Trade Center location, barely any customers, but that shouldn't scare you away. The food is good with a nice flavor.

The free nachos were really required as the food takes forever to come, food is good though but more Guacamole and taco topping should be added.

When I visited this place, there are few customers only. Waiters are very nice and they pay attention to the customers.

Apart from the nice staff, food is also delicious. I like how they show to us how they make the guacomole. You can choose different dishes on their menu.i like the fajita

Iam really frustrated with th resturant.food was late waiters are so busy to ask about the dish.we waited at the end food came as unexpected I ordered taco.but I feel that iam eating like any normal chicken
sandwich bread was not crispy it was normal tortilla bread and there was no hot sauce I ask the waiter he said next time u come will serve it as u want! I never come again.over to that the pill was so high around 260Dhs for to dishes.the order dish I asked them to make it delivery because it came late and even backaging for delivery was so bad no tissue or plastic spoon given along
I then I notice other family also leaving the resturant because for was late and they took it dilevery

Celebration meal became a nightmare! At 320Aed for two people. I expect much more! We ordered food online. It took much longer than expected to arrive. When it did, the food was cold. The food was also unsalted, very DRY and bland, the guacamole was not mashed, it had huge pieces and it did not have any salt, pepper, lime or cilantro. The desert was a nightmare! The apple pie was FROZEN on the inside and the vanilla sause was set like butter! I had actual ice crystals in my pie!

I have eaten at the restaurant before and this was a big big disappointment!

I've been wanting for so long to try the restaurant, and tonight I've finally did it. So here it is the story of El Chico:

Even from outside you will feel that the restaurant is very warm and very cosy and it will allure you to go inside.
Do not struggle and surrender yourself, because for sure you won't regret it.
As you are entering the adventure will start: the smiling waiters, the warm and kind cashier, all will be at your service and ready to make you feel most welcomed.

Sit down, make yourself comfortable and make time to explore the diversified menu. I can bet that any choice you will make will bring joy and pleasure. Once you have decided, make your order and while patiently waiting for the freshly cooked meals to arrive, enjoy the crispy nachos, dunked in the amazing salsa.

When your order will finally arrive you will understand why you've reached the right place: large meals, nicely cooked with an amazing taste.

I had luck and at the time I went was not that crowded so the ambiance was quite intimate.
I really enjoyed my time and will definitely return here.
For sure it's on top of my favorite restaurants.
