The service was fantastic, Zomato pro members get additional 15% off, the food was decent and prices reasonable, but the chicken curry ordered tasted more like fish curry…. That could be improvised, rest everything was fine
My personal favourite. They have very nice menu setup for Kerala cuisines. Prices are affordable and quantity is also worth mentioning. Do try their fish policchatthu with nool paratha.
Authentic Kerala food. The meat is extremely tender. Loved the Beef erachichore and biryani. The meals were also worth it. Overall, it's a must visit to try some authentic Kerala cusine.
We had an amazing dinner gathering at ghee rice restaurant. The food was delicious, we were a group of 15 members the quantity and quality of the food was really good. We had tried Special chicken and seafood grill platter it was awesome, butter chicken, garlic butter naan, cream of mushroom and chicken soup, kerala mutton masala, beef masala. Thank you for the great experience, we had guest from Dubai and were happy with the choice. Special Thanks to Mr. Fasial for all the arrangements and giving us a great time.
One of the famous restuarant chain in UAE. They have multiple outlets in abudhabi itself. Their pothi choru and their signature Erachi choru is must try. There are special items including biriyani. This place is rich for kerala food
Based on the dinning, Ambience and service is awesome. This is the place you can take your friends, clients or relative for Kerala food experience.
Tried Chicken Biriyani and Erachi choru. Erachi choru we tried both chicken and beef, personally liked chicken one
Normal malabari biriyani with average taste and good quantity served
Not just your typical Indian restaurant because they also serve a wide range of international cuisine. The service was exemplary and the place was cozzy. Perfect for great moments with friends and family.
We went for dine in. The place had good ambience and staff were cooperative. The seating arrangements were great and they even have privat quarters for families. Even though we went at a busy hour, the staff were keen happy to serve. We ordered chicken karai, lamb shank biryani and fish tawa fry. All the food were delicious. The price is comparable to any high class indian restaurant. Had a great time and enjoyed the food. They accept ADCB credit card touchpoint as payment.
I had very bad experience yesterday. As per the staff advice I ordered their signature items: beef pothi chore - 26 dhs and mutton biryani - 27 dhs. Both items really disappointed me and their higher price didn't meet the food quality. Both were a lot of oily and mutton not well cooked. I had a lot of expectations for my Eid day.
Ghee rice is a South Indian restaurant based on mostly Kerala food. It has an outstanding quality and really nice, exquisite food. The food you are getting here is worth the price; Ex, you spend 100 dhs, you get food worth 100dhs. It’s really that good. Anyways here is the food review. So we ordered the pot biryani (chicken), chicken and mutton biryani (it’s a Friday) with a dessert, falooda. Let’s talk about my favorite first, the pot biryani. The pot biryani is a chicken Hyderabad dum murgh biryani. The masala is really well made and has an astonishing taste. Overall a good one. Next is the chicken and the mutton biryani. Both the biryani has really nice, tender and soft meat. The rice was good, but would be nice if there was more masala in it. Last is the falooda. It’s a dessert, so it’s obviously good. Now For the last I’m gonna be talking about the place and area. So the place itself is really nice and calm, it has great music and overall nice. It’s just good. Anyways that’s it. Bye:)
Nice food.nice place for a quiet small gatherings. They served following on a buffet.ghee rice, butter chicken, dry beef roast, fish fingers, salad and desserts. Waiters acted promptly in need.
Very knowledgeable and good service from the waiter. Thoroughly enjoyed our brunch of shrimp appetiser, Appam with masala crab and yellow fish curry.lots of appam, yeay
Ghee rice is a south Indian restaurant serving Keralite cuisine in Abu Dhabi. It has both open as well as cabin seating arrangement. The menu primarily caters to south indian delicacies with few north indian items. Green chilli lamb chops were very soft. Chilli gobi was very tasty. Crab roast with piping hot appams was ultimate. Jeerakasala rice and mango fish curry was the pinnacle. Kulki is Ghee rice signature drink and a must have. Food is very tasty with fair portion size and is reasonably priced. Serving staff are very prompt and helpful to make you comfortable. If you long for south Indian non-vegetarian delicacies, Ghee rice would be one choice.
Nice restaurant, friendly staff. Food can't be ranked as the best.but ok. Quantity of food is more and not suitable if you are going alone here.quantity ok if going as a group. Expensive also.it will be better to reduce the quantity and price just to avoid wastage of food.
Just ordered kallummakaya fry [mussels] for AED 31 dhs. It was not worth at all, contained only 6 small dry pieces and delivered without even separate gravy and salads. Sorry to say Very poor
An excellent place. Very peaceful ambience, private cabins for family, nice staff. Food was amazing. Trird Porota and ghee roast chicken, chicken fried rice, fried ice-cream, beef with koorka and Tea. All are just WOW. A must go place for food lovers. Not expensive too.
Good food reasonable price good staffs. THAT WAS MY REVIEW 3 YEARS AGO, BELOW IS MY CURRENT REVIEW, A DROP FROM 5 STAR TO 3, FIND OUT WHY!
Walked in the restaurant, 2 persons at the counter- no greetings! I had to ask where to sit, downstairs or upstairs. Told to go up.
Ordered Fish Thali. Food came and I must say good variety and taste good but that's about it! Tiny portions!
3 staffs working upstairs- not once anyone asked If I needed any refill or even how was the food. All 3 hiding in corners.
Finally got hold of one and i asked for the veg refills (as what Thali are suppose to be), i was told all items are finished except the curry. If this was the case, I could have ordered ala carte and not the Thali!
Communication is the key! AND I HONESTLY BELIEVE FURTHER TRAINING IS DESPERATELY NEEDED!
I read the reviews here and it seems IM NOT THE ONLY ONE WHO THINKS THERE'S A SEVERE DROP IN SERVICE!
Hope the stakeholders are aware of this drop. Sad to see my once favourite place with best chicken perlan and impeccable service.no longer hold the service quality as before!
Kerala varieties are good. Bamboo biryani is my favourite. Ask for properly cooked food, give time for chefs to cook otherwise they will spoil the recipe to compromise with time.
The service staff are friendly and provide good service everytime we have been there. The quality of the food has always been good and has excellent value for money.
Saturday special is the traditional Kerala Sadhya served on a banana leaf. The Sadhya was sensational and had around 15 dishes served in addition to two payasams. The service staff informed us that for Onam they serve even more dishes. We regretted not having gone there this Onam.
Overall we enjoyed our meal there which offered good customer service at great value.
Im in love with their mushroom masala! I was vegeterian for one week and thought of getting a mushroom masala from here, i was surprised at the taste! It was DELICIOUS! Very affordable as well! Their naan bread is a bit overcooked but we all got different likings. You might as well give it a try~
Must visit if you are in Abu Dhabi. Awesome and authentic food. Loved the hot appam along with prawns and ghee chicken roasted curry. Value for money and service is excellent. Would visit again.
Just had food from there.the beef is very bad and not cooked well, cannot be called beef roast from what I was served.and ghee rice is too oily.very expensive and food below average.i would never go there again and I am from Kerala.
I recommend this restaurant for a peaceful dining. Orders takes 20 to 30 minutes. They have variety of dishes which is prepared deliciously. They take home delivery and party orders too. Parking is mawaqif parking.
Waited for 1 hour 30 minutes for the food to arrive at our table. Entered the restaurant at 1: 45pm and food was brought to our table at 3: 15pm. Not good when we have children too. Service is extremely poor. The restaurant manager was not even around to assess the situation.
This was not the first time and this time we were invited here and it was not out of choice.
The food is good but not worth the wait, there are better restaurants serving the same cusine but with way better service and Customer Service.
This restaurant needs to improve considerably in this area if if wants to retain customers.
Consistency in providing a good meal or a dish has been the biggest issue of this restaurant which was once a favourite. Some days they serve a dish so tasty and flavourful and another day the same dish just bland. They have a great menu and when done right can do much better.
All the way from Dubai to Abudhabi just to have lunch. We decided to have from Ghee Rice restuarant.amazing place to have proper kerala cuisine, with some touch of tradional cookware in which they served. We had this puttukuttibiriyani.its a must try dish, also had beeferachichoru (beef mixed in special rice and wrapped with bananaleaf). And also nadan adichachaya.
Restaurants are food and this is no place for good food. They dont even justify thier name "the ghee rice". Does not definitely taste how it should have!
Cozy Indian place close to the ADCB head office. We ordered butter chicken and mutton rogan josh along with roti, wheat and malabar paratha. The rogan josh was spicy. The rotis etc take time to be prepared fresh so it's better to place an order while you are eating incase a repeat for the breads can be foreseen.
I just ordered grilled chicken full for 38AED from ghee rice and delivered item really shocking us 2 small chicken piece same size of king fish and full of water like philipino food without any masala. We are realy cheated as we ordered online through Zomato, Please don't cheat customer's like this. Stay away from this Hotel
On the off chance that you cherish South Indian nourishment, this place is an absolute necessity attempt. We adore ocean depths and the best of ocean bottom is accessible here. Its not only an ocean depths put however. Yummy veg and non veg choices accessible to browse. It's an extremely easygoing eating setting so you can anticipate that the place will be somewhat swarmed amid lunch and supper times.also Ramadan iftar famous. Valid kerala style dishes.must attempt
