Golden Spoon Vegetarian Restaurant

Probably the best Indian food I have ever had (and I eat a lot of Indian food). Simple place with excellent food, flavourful and with an amazing texture. Everything is perfectly prepared. The waiter provides excellent advice.

Went for a small dinner. Spent roughly 150dhs or so for 3 people. The food was tasty, healthy and served with a smile. The service was good. The vibe of that place was simple and calming. Serves Indian cuisine with some nice twists. You can certainly take people who are picky vegetarians or vegan as well

We love the Kachoris and crispy jalebis of this restaurant. Moreover we are extremely satisfied with their service, they always give freshly made food with care.

Amazing North Indian vegetarian thali that I had with my mother as soon as I landed in Abu Dhabi. Sumptuous filling nutritious and generous portions. Loved the food and the service. Keep up the good work

Small place in the center of Abu Dhabi. Right from the start, the welcome was very warm with a lot of thoughtfulness towards me as a solitary traveler (perhaps slightly exaggerated). The menu is very rich and completely vegetarian. The dishes come from different cuisines but mainly from North India. I tried (on the owner's recommendation) the Punjabi dum alloo (stuffed potatoes dipped in a dal-like cream) and the mini samosas. The dishes were really great and not too spicy! Drop by!

There Roti is Excellent i feel best among all restaurants i have been. Ordered few times different Curries and chapatti. Veg Akhbari is Chef special and worth trying it. Mild Spiece's perfect blend of everything. Even Paneer Pasand was amazing.and there Tikka and Kabbab also good.

Unfortunately I can’t give less than one star. I order haka noodles and they send instant noodles mixed with spring onion n bit of cabbage. I called to them to ask and I was surprised that he is very confidently telling that they use instant noodles for haka noodles. N it was very dry to the extent that it’s not properly cooked. Very very disappointing.

This place is truly a hidden gem of Abu Dhabi. For vegetarian people it is a life saviour and for non veg people, it is a perfect place to show why vegetarian food beats non veg food any day! So much variety to offer in their menu! We tried the soya chilli, stuffed karela and dal tadka along with their light soft Phulkas. Really well made and flavourful food and not at all greasy. We felt light on stomach after the meal. Special mention of Jaspalji who served us with a smile throughout and he was the only person attending so many tables and went up and down the stairs so many times, but yet was so cheerful and warm. He made the experience more memorable! Do ask for him! Just loved the place and food!

The food was fine. The waiter was very courteous and he served us food. We were three and ordered different dishes.

I had ordered Dal Makhani from this joint, it was hopeless and too diluted and the taste was really bad.
The quantity is very less and not worth the Money they charge.

Loved the food. Quality of paneer and rotis was very good.
Paratha's were amazing and made of wheat flour and not the common flour.

Very bad service.not at all value for money. They didn't listen about food nor wanted to change. Dont visit

Best North Indian restaurant around here. Neat and quite place.

We weren't really satisfied. The food was just ok and it took very long to prepare it. Even for drinks we had to ask twice and we were the only people in the restaurant.

Have not tried their main items. We usually drop in to buy their mini punjabi samosas! They are yummy!

Even though I am a strict noon vegetarian I still love their snacks in particular the mini samosas. Consistently the same taste and freshness over the past 10 years plus that I have been going there.

Worst thali ever.taste is not at all worth the price.prices have been charged for the renovation

This place is a hidden gem in dowtown Abu Dhabi! It serves Nothern Indian and Chinese dishes! The owner is very humble and there is a long family history behind. We just samoled a few items from the menu (gobhi manchurian, vegetable akbari, vegetable mamchow soup and clear soup) and all were really stunning delicious! We will be coming back definitely

It's one of my favourite mid-range restraunts to have vegetarian food with my family, the food seems fresh with a hint of homliness with a decent variety in the menu, flavours can also be customized upon request! Staff is friendly and courteous. Family spacing is upstairs, which is freshly renovated. Overall, this restraunt never lets me down.

Great staff and owner and wonderful food. Reasonably priced as well. Enjoyed our visit back in August 2019.

Very good North Indian and Desi Chinese. Always end up overeating over here. Paneer Kurkure and Chinese is good. Reasonable prices and good service staff. Good quality, food consistency is good. Restaurant is on 2nd floor, require to walk up stairs. Overall good.

This is my favorite spot for some good vegetarian. I normally order online. But came across the restaurant in person! The service is nice. You go up stairs to eat. The decorations are cute and simple. The food is so yummy. I like the curries. If you get spicy make sure you like spicy.lol Everything is fresh tasting and looking. And you get plenty of food! I would recommend to anyone!

Mouth-wateringly delicious vegetarian and vegan food. I’m a frequent patron and staff and owners are always friendly and helpful. Excellent service. Negative: credit card machine frequently doesn’t work.

Food taste was literally ok and as compared to price definitely not the worth when we compare with other places like salaam bombay and Indian by Nature.

One of the best vegetarian restaurants in Abu Dhabi. Really loved this place. The curries were yummy and really tasty.

We visited this restaurant yesterday but got lost on the way, the owner of the restaurant sent somebody to escort us to the place. What an awesome level of service that they provide!
Now the food, we ordered aloo parantha for our baby, they customised it as we wanted. They made soya chap for us the way we wanted it to be.and the Chola Bhatura, I must say it's one of the best that I have had in abudhabi.
These guys are setting benchmarks in food and service. Totally loved it. Forgot to click the pics though. Next time.

Let it be infamous butter chicken, naan, chaat, chole-bhature, or mithai, Punjab has an abundance of culinary varieties.

Golden Spoon Restaurant holds its roots from Punjab and stationed in Abu Dhabi for 25 years, serves around 184 pure Punjabi Vegetarian dishes. They meet the fundamentals of Punjabi Cuisine. We got an opportunity to taste the food (pre-set menu by the restaurant management) and here is our review:

1. Punjabi Samosa: Thin cover and soft stuffing are two qualities of authentic Punjabi Samosa. Thin cover, when deep-fried, become crispy and gives the perfect texture to samosa which is balanced by gratifying potato stuffing. This restaurant knows this authenticity of samosa and serves it as it is. Chutneys compliments the Samosas.

2. Veg Nargasi Kofta curry: Perfectly cooked koftas are curried with creamy tomato & onion gravy. The garam masala was slightly on the higher side but the overall taste was Good.

3. Chapatis: Restaurant claims that they serve the pure wheat chapatis, we don't doubt their claim, but a bit of attention to kneading the dough with appropriate water ratio could have made chapatis softer.

4. Fresh Salad: Good one.

5. Gulab Jamun: The proper porosity of Jamuns allows Chashni (sugar syrup) to enter to the core and makes Gulab Jamun delicious.

They recently renovated their interiors and interiors are decent. This restaurant serves simple and decent Punjabi cuisine and worth visiting when someone wants 'Ghar Ka Khana (Homemade food). '

We order Jeera Rice, The quantity was so less, not even one person could be satisfy. I'll never order or visit this resultant again.

Pathetic Restaurant. I wish, the restaurant should shut down. Inshallah.

I love this place. Their food is honest and flavorful. The owners are so friendly and kind.
We order once a week, sometimes twice, and it is consistently delicious.

This restaurant doesn't respect it's Customer. Serving Half Papad for Full Meal. If you ask for a full Papad they say it will cost Extra. Crazy.

Very tasty and affordable pure veg eatery. Good service. We ate during weekend and it was empty. So no waiting time. Recommended

A remarkable Indian vegetarian restaurant which is very reasonably priced. They have an extensive range of vegetarian dishes from all over India.

Let the waiter know if you want very spicy, spicy or not spicy. The dal is my favorite dish here along with the butter nann. They have a picture menu and if not sure ask the waiter for suggestions. They also offer takeaway service.

If you like Indian food and a wide range of vegetation options, then try this place out. You don't need to sell your golden spoon to afford eating here
