I had a lovely lunch. They food was good but the selection could have been better. The atmosphere was beautiful as usual, nice and peaceful. I'll definitely go back.

The stall/servers/chefs were excellent. Ann was exceptional, very accommodating and friendly. Kabi made sure everything was pleasant for me.

Some of the food on the buffet was not at the proper serving temperature. Management ensured they would address my concerns. The variety of food was great and soup chef was great.

I’m looking forward to my next visit.

Decent food with a wide variety. I liked how they served many different types of milk which isnt done in other buffets. Same with the pastries. However, staff was quite unprofessional and just stood around. The indian lady serving the tea is a bit aggressive. Tables were unclean and sticky. Probably wont come again

We went for lunch brunch. The overall experience was great! The staff was very kind and welcoming. The food variety was great. My personal favourite was Olive Mushroom Fish. Totally value for money.

Food was fine, not the best. Vegetarians had very few options. Food also depends on the cuisine served on specific days. Better to check before the visit. Ambience and staff is great.

Was there Thursday Night from 7 to 10 pm, four our beloved friend' birthday.

A very nice place.spacious.good ambiance.

Vast variety of dishes. Asian, western, Indian. Even they have various type of condiments (sambal). And Ice creaaammm. Very good!

Thank you to our best friends Chef Bharat who help snapped many beautiful pictures of us and Naung from Myanmar, who served us complimentary Tea and Cofee. Thank you!

We enjoyed our lunch buffet at Khayal. Chef Himanshu was amazing and made arrangements for a variety of vegetarian dishes not on the buffet spread. They even got us a vegetarian cake to celebrate our kids birthday. Nilam and Novita were super efficient and courteous in their service at our table.

Very generous sea food night with all the lobster and shrimps you can eat. Thank you Santosh for your service.

We found a running cockroach under our table and we were inviting another family. Also it was much better before Covide and much bigger buffet.

Not sure if my expectations were too high (maybe because I expected a Marriott-quality restaurant), but my experience was nowhere near pleasant.

Food was very poor (both varieties and quality), both savory and dessert options were so below-average in terms of quality and taste.

As for service, no one cared to clear the table and remove the used plates until we left, instead, they only cared to come while we were eating and ask us to pay the bill (as if they were politely asking us to leave), and we did pay with no objection, yet no one still cared to remove the plates.

Excellent iftar buffet in Abu Dhabi. Arabic, italian, indian, east asia, japanise cousin in one buffet. This rating only for the period of Ramadan 2022.

Had an Easter brunch here. Food was fantastic, with a lot of options from Middle East, Asian, India, etc. Dessert were amazing, looks pretty and delicious. Thanks to Tejas and Adel who made our brunch perfect! Definitely will come back again for another brunch!

Just had an Easter brunch on last Sunday in here! The food was superrrr and beyond expectations. For sure it has a lot of different type of food as it’s International buffet. Not to mention the desserts with lots of options and everything will satisfy your sweet tooth.
Surprisingly it was different than what I experienced on Christmas Eve dinner.
And I really like the hospitality as Tejas and Adel was very nice to served our table.
Definitely recommend and will come again in the future!

Only if i had an option to rate below 1 star.i would have chosen that.cold tasteless food with hardly any variety.sweet counter and cheese table was full of small fruit flies.upon highlighting the sever informed me with a smile, that i dont have to be worried as they are only outside no inside the box. We visited the Khayal restaurant after seeing some good reviews but it was a disaster.we went for our Anniversary dinner @ 18/01/2022, I was shocked to see such a low standard in a Marriot group hotel. The buffet was below average, lock of items, food was not hot, grills are not cooked well, more over the staff in the restaurant is not aware about their roles. Only one person was available to deliver the food as gusts are not allowed to take food, That guy has no clue about the food items, We have to wait long to get items served, soft drink not included. They are taking AED 169 for one buffet and not even having the quality and verity of items sold in normal restaurants. Never i recommend this restaurant. I will give 0 out of 5 stars. All this we informed the Lady in the restaurant lobby.

That buffet shouldn’t be called a buffet because of the lack of food it provided. Bad service flavor restricted types of food not suitable for Arabic customers most food are Asian as Chinese or indean

We enjoyed the seafood buffet. A really great dining experience. You choose your seafood, which is then grilled and brought to your table. Very delicious. There is a large variety of beautifully prepared foods and desserts. Lovely hotel and restaurant! Service is very efficient.

THE WORST EVER 5 STAR RESTAURANT. VERY BAD SERVICE.  I visited with my family on this 25th, for dinner, and took table 43.  When asked for the choice of juices, they only have 4 packed juices and not any fresh juice, how CHEAP and disappointing from this 5-star restaurant. When asked for a cola drink, the manager says, "We don't have Coca-Cola in our entire Marriott", how shockingly annoying! Under pressure, I asked Pepsi with ice cubes. I didn't believe my eyes, the UNSKILLED waiter brought Pepsi in a glass half-filled with crushed ice. So pathetic.  The "Live cooking station" was the worst service of all. My children prefer prawns and momos. At 8: 30 pm the chef says "prawns are finished, momos are finished". And when asked to get more, he was so shameless to tell, "WE DONT HAVE ANY MORE" left.  Then the butter nan,  despite instruction it was served cold.  My children's ordered PASTA and cake, they received it only after 45mins. But still waiting for the cake. They ket food at a warm temperature, it got quickly cold as I returned back to my table. I would have enjoyed myself more in a "NO STAR" restaurant.  The 5 STAR Marriott Khayal restaurant was a big disappointment.

This place is a rare gem. The food was still fresh even though we went towards the end of the brunch. The reception, waitstaff and chefs were very personable and attentive. From the moment we arrived Kiza, made us feel right at home. Our server Andrew, was always willing to get us anything we wanted and his counterpart Bless was there if Andrew happened to be unavailable. I highly recommend eating at Khayal, you will not be disappointed.

Limited food options especially for a vegetarian. Food was normal. Though we reached at 3PM and the brunch was to end at 4PM, found many of the items running out by 3.45. Would have expected a bit more of attention from the staff. Definitely not worth the price.

I enjoy a restaurant that is spacious and this one is plus more. The decor is beautiful as is the flooring with flooring water running through it, traditional seating combined with modern seating. From American to Arabic foods you'll have numerous choices of dishes and sides to partake of.

The service was good. The staff were very attentive. Atmosphere was nice and cleanly. The food choice was limited and the taste was average at best. Tried it since it was available on Entertainer. Would I recommend.no. Would I dine again with that exact menu on Monday night.not at all.

We went for Friday dinner, the food was very tasty. The food selection was very limited otherwise the food was good.

By far the loveliest service I have enjoyed in Abu Dhabi. Awesome fusion and international food choices for the whole family. Manager Khazi and his staff of chefs and waiters made our Mothers' Day weekend.

Food is definitely lacking taste and variety in the buffet I had during a week. Heard that they have seafood weekend buffet, not sure about that. Asian section had good soups options.

The place is amazing they have a great variety of cuisines, excellent service, and special thanks to Jezra for the great service! We visited during the COVID-19 pandemic and they deal with it really well! Felt super safe and comfortable throughout the dinner

Thursday seafood night buffet.
3 points makes me sad.

1. No receptionist in the reception area. We need assistance coz we are first timer in the place.
2. Around 9pm, the lobster is out of stock. We never had even a head.
3. Please don't put bartender in the noodle or soup section. I asked for laksa but i think he mixed it with tom yum soup. You will get confused about the taste.

Wow what a breakfast buffet! I could not stop eating. Nom nom nom nom superb! Delicious and a wide variety of food items, English, chinese, arabic, indian and everything in between. The restaurant is huge and the staff are very attentive. Highly recommend

Thursday Seafood Night in Khayal is back!

Dive into the finest seafood buffet of the town with an array of freshest delicacies ranging from sustainable local fish to shellfish and crustaceans prepared by our Chefs.

Take advantage of this seafood themed buffet and dig into your favorite catch of the day for AED. 275 per person, inclusive of soft beverages.

The best part?

With a wide range of vegetarian and non-vegetarian options in the buffet, it caters to all customers. The only downfall of this buffet visit was that service was a bit slow and I did not receive a pasta dish from the live counter.

Apart from that, it is totally worth it if you've got the appetite to try Indian, Arabic, Asian, Italian, African, and other cuisines, all in one. There is also a lovely bread and cheese counter - so many of which I did not even know existed.

Khayal is a great date restaurant with an indoor and outdoor seating, as well as amazing for a family or office gathering.

No comments on food and place. All good.
The only thing I felt is the uniform the staff wear. Ots too tight for them. Please allow the ladies to wear a comfy and standard clothes as per star Hotel.

One again we had the best time with the family at Khayal restaurant. The staff were very welcoming. The service was amazing and great food. The manager immediately helped adjusted our table to fit our family, the chef Rahul took time to go and prepare special plate for my husband, and Putu was so amazing. Highly recommended restaurant and will definitely go back again more frequently.

Not to be repeated. Food was very bad. Limited variety (which I can cook better than it). Buffet is almost empty at 8 pm.never go again

5-star rating for the 5-star service that we received! All staffs are very accomodating, specially the guy named Mina. Its our first time to try the breakfast buffet and will definitely come back.

I have had the opportunity to eat at this fine restaurant for the past five months and I am delighted to write this review for potential visitors to the Marriott Khayal Restaurant as it serves delicious fare with flare.

Everyday I am graciously received by Anissa, Aillene, Nopur, Kevin, who kindly find a nice seat for me.

My favorite meal at the Khayal Restaurant is breakfast. They have a wonderful selection of prepared to order dishes including salmon Eggs Benedict, omelets, eggs, and a vast selection of breakfast menu items. During the Covid pandemic the staff were the "go between" for the breakfast bar. They are always very attentive and eager to please the customer. I especially like their fresh juices and their daily rendition of "healthy juice. "

One of my favorite things to order are poached eggs over Ful Madames, gladly prepared by Chef Hamid, who takes much pride in the cooking of the restaurant. French toast is another favorite prepared by Prasanna, Nuwan, or Prashant. I really like it when Prashant uses fresh whipped cream, blueberry compote, and real maple syrup.

Maricris often goes beyond the call of service and offers me green tea with sliced ginger - a great way to start the day. Dominic, Anissa, Salah, Aillene, Nopur are superb at going over to the lounge and asking Lino and Shantih to prepare a decaf cappuccino as well. Kevin, Max, Hamza, Sara, Jezra, and Mina all go out of their way each and every day to ensure that I had a great experience at the fruit bar, salad bar or dessert bar.

One night I asked for a Tiramisu - Ayman working with one of the dessert chefs named Halima especially prepared a batch that night for me. This happened again today when Akhil had the chef slice up some watermelon for me.

The chefs at the Asian counter custom-order the most wonderful Asian soups including Tom Yum and other varieties, depending on the night. I also enjoy asking them to prepare stir fry vegetables and often partake sampling seafood dim sum.

Jitendra, Shovit, Putu, Jezra, Jinesh, and Kalendra, always serve with a smile and bring such positivity to their work, by engaging with clients, brightening the experience of many travelers who often eat alone. Even when the restaurant is busy the staff is so well-trained and self-directed that you'd hardly notice the difference.

Kazi, Antony, Anwher, and Sameem are the management team who fill in the gaps, ensuring a pleasing experience for those dining at Khayal. They set a positive tone and create an atmosphere of family and trust. They know that when the staff is happy, clients are happy. I remember when I was there the management staff created a wellness and mindfulness training for the staff - I was very impressed by their attention to the needs of their team. If I haven't mentioned someone, it is because I didn't remember their name and not representative of their service and intention. I am very grateful for all the staff at the Khayal who have made a positive impact on my stay by their consistent attention to detail, initiative, rapport, and care for their customers at the Khayal.

This restaurant was my favourite. Unfortunately it has fallen from grace. Not only the quality of food has gone down, but even the service has taken a tumbling. I am staying in the hotel and feel sad about the Very limited options which are available during the current Corona time at the same price as was in February 2020. Options have come down by 90%, food quality down at least 30% and customer service down 40%.

Worst breakfast experience in Abu Dhabi so far. Very slow service. Got the eggs after 40 min and after asking the waiters several times. Still the bread that was ordered never got served and I was too fed up of begging for my order by then so I paid and left. It felt like throwing money in the bin. Complete waste of time and money.

I've been staying in Marriott Hotel, Al Forsan, Abu Dhabi for more than three months now (due to COVID-19) and I've been enjoying it so far.

During the first two weeks, the food prepared by Khayal were delivered to my room. It was A la carte. The plating and quantity/amount of food was on point and delivered on time, or sometimes earlier. Then it was changed. To make the long story short, now they opened the restaurant to have "dine in" experience. It's been more than a week since they opened and been complaining for the same issues (during dinner) :

1. Fresh/green "salad" delivered after more than 30 minutes for four consecutive days. Can you imagine, fresh salad prepared in the kitchen for more than 30 minutes?

2. Inconsistent, very inconsistent.
A.) Salad dressing is changing depending on the chef.
B.) Missing ingredient (serving feta cheese instead of mozarella).
C.) The amount of salad is changing every day.
D.) Steak sauce and sides are changing depending on the chef again. They do not talk or discuss their menu with each other?

3. Now, to avoid delays they are serving salad and main course (I ordered steak), at the same time. How can you enjoy your salad if you are in a hurry coz you do not want your steak to get cold? This is just common sense. Just to avoid delay you want to rush your customer?

This "a la carte" thing is their decision. They should be prepared beforehand and at all times! They should talk in the kitchen, be well organized and consistent.

So dissappointed! This is 5 star hotel?

Wonderful staff and excellent food. I don't have enough praise for this restaurant. This isn't your average hotel restaurant, it is definitely worth a visit!

The best restaurant I have ever visited in UAE. Aside from variety of food and great taste. The best thing that I am so thankful and happy about is the the hospitality. All crew are friendly. Service deluxe. I would like to highlight the names of crew members who have done a great service. Namely: Dominic, Jezra, Kevin salah. It was an unforgettable experience. It is really highly recommended.

Don’t miss their seafood nights on Thursday. Unbelievable, you can eat until you die

One of the best Extravagant buffets I abu dhabi and not outrageously over priced and really really generous with the food selections and staff are intuitive except for the reception staff they make u feel not welcomed walking into their restaurant. Nonetheless will keep going there just for the food and amazing pricing!

Wir waren hier zum zum "Five-Star Seafood Buffet”. Die Auswahl war sehr umfangreich und das Essen war köstlich. Das Personal war sehr freundlich und aufmerksam.

Very good variety of food, easy parking at the hotel, almost 5 live cooking station, the quality of food is really good, the lunch is 160 dirhan and you can use the entertainer. The sweet station is big with good quality and tasty variety. Sushi station is loaded as well. Very good value of money of what you pay. Lunch from 1230 to 1530. The waiters and hostess were all nice and helpful Will go often.

This place is good for buffet lunch. It has variety of food, its value for money for non vegetarian. For vegetarians there is limited options and the cost does not provide justice for that. The service was great, and the beat dish I like here is the Japanese vegetarian sushi with avocado.
