Kuya Juan Restaurant in Abu Dhabi boasts a menu that's a pork lover's paradise, paired with refreshing San Miguel beer. While the prices may be steep, the generous serving sizes make it worth the splurge.

During our visit on a Sunday afternoon, the restaurant was surprisingly empty, offering a peaceful atmosphere. Amenities like separate restrooms for ladies and gents, along with free WiFi, added convenience.

However, our dining experience was marred by the presence of numerous flies, which made it difficult to enjoy our meal. Despite the promise of daily live entertainment from 7 pm, the distraction of the flies overshadowed the ambiance.

In summary, Kuya Juan Restaurant has potential, but the issue of flies needs urgent attention to ensure a more enjoyable dining experience for patrons.

Highly recommended. Service was great. The lady named Haidy was doing an excellent job when it comes to customer service. Two thumbs up.

I ordered lechon belly for our Noche Buena at home in celebration of Christmas. I had a very smooth transaction from ordering to delivery. The lechon belly arrived exactly on time as agreed and the taste was SUPERB! The skin was Crunchy and the meat was tasty. I will definitely order again next time. Thank you Kuya Juan Restaurant for making our Christmas eve meal extra special.

Food is great! But happy hour system is scam. There is happy hour until 8pm but system of happy hour ends earlier than the advertised one which is Not good!

Tried Kuya Juan for the First time just a couple of minutes back and I have to say that the food was really good.

I'm from Dubai and usually the one being compared to this is Asiana Hotel's buffet with its Pork Menu. Although I give Asiana the higher recommendation for Price consideration, Kuya Juan for me tops every other else. Plus the location is at the center of the majority of Filipinos here (i think). Props to Ms. Joy who assisted us.

Food ordered was Inihaw na Liempo which was soft and well marinated, Dinuguan was creamy and perfect as not too sour and not too salty and lastly Sizzling Tofu, really tasty and was sizzled properly and not burnt. All are recommended.

We love the crispy bagnet and the staff Yvonne is such a lovely person and very accommodating. She made our experience at Kuya Juan worth coming back for.
15 August 2023 12:49
The food are great! But there service is so bad! They are not even smiling when taking orders, you can see the disappointment when they will call y for another order, then will just put on your table that’s it!

Smoking should not be allowed as kids and minors are enjoying the ambience and foods.

Management to review and consider…

We had a great night spending here with our family. The ambiance is good for you to chill. They have a very good services and live band while eating. Lastly, their foods are very tasty that will surely satisfied your cravings for Filipino Foods.

If you don't know how good Filipino cuisine is, Kuya Juan is the place to find out—my favorite restaurant in Abu Dhabi. The chef is an Artist. The entertainment is always endearing. And Yvonne knows everything I need before I do. Thank you Kuya Juan for being here. Heart emoji

Nice restaurant. We went twice now and both times the food was great. The staff are friendly also. Salamat Kuya Juan!

We enjoyed eating in Kuya Juan Restaurant especially the service given us by Dianne and the live band was great! We will definitely come back when we visit Abu Dhabi! Regards to all.

They got our order wrong and then served us the correct order. We got charged for both. We asked the waitress to take a picture of us, and she told us to do it later. Food was meh for the price

This is the first time I try philipino cuisine. I went with a philipino friend who was kind enough to make recommendations. I definitely would try the pork sisig, it's sizzly crispy and hits that umami spot, not a light dish but definitely hits the comfort food sweet spot. The space is very uniquely decorated, like being in a tavern or pub. There's live music most nights that's a little too load for my liking.

My husband and I went to Kuya Juan on a Friday night. Despite not having a reservation, we were welcomed professionally by the staff. The food was awesome though the Dinuguan tasted different from the last time which was not so much of a big deal. The evening band was extremely good and the overall service was spot on.

Will return again soon!

I visited the restaurant yesterday and the place was very nice and clean. But the food I ordered was disappointing. Where I ordered (CHICKEN INASAL). It should be grilled, but they brought it fried.and when I ask they say it’s grilled …. I feel I don’t know how it should or I just born yesterday … I try so many place. I recommended for drinks only

You can never go wrong with this resto. Filipino food they have it aLL! The place and food will take you back home. Will definitely come again.
30 September 2022 22:05
Unfortunately disappointing food are low quality and it’s not fresh plus the fact it’s expensive. Just hoping they will improve the quality food (pork and beef meat is low quality) and food is salty. The only food that I like is the fried milkfish even though it’s a small piece and the tofu with pork.
02 August 2022 0:46
Food was really great plus the very good voice of band, we ordered lechon kawali and pinakbet which was really worth it, its little pricy but its worth it,
26 June 2022 8:22
Worst service i have even been to. Manager was not approachable, they should change this manager a better one. So impolite! Me and my friends will never ever go back to this restaurant anymore and i suggest to not waste a time!
18 May 2022 18:29
Craving for high blood? Lol pork ratherworry no more in Abu DhabiJust visit kuya Juan to cook your fave yobab dish real quick! It’s quite pricey but worth it
15 May 2022 6:40
No question the food was great! We ordered crispy sisig and pork sinigang. I think there was not enough vent or exhaust to let the smoke out from the place coz when we got there there were smoke all over from the sizzling food i think. The staff were nice but i think they lack more people to accommodate their costumers that night and the sound system was too loud maybe because we were situated near the singer. Overall i would recommend the place to my friends. Try the crispy sisig!

This is me and my friends favorite place whenever we crave for pork. This place will surely give you a Philippines vibe whenever you miss the home country. From the beers they’re serving (which is so Filipino – especially San Mig Light) to the foods – not to mention all the foods tastes so delicious and yummy. I remember coming here one time and there were 2 tables occupied only and there is a live acoustic – he sings all our requests and we even sing with him, he was so friendly and nice and really gave us a chill-vibes dinner. The staffs were so accommodating too and friendly. The fact that it’s kind of expensive but with the help of entertainer, we didn’t feel it much and we enjoy all the foods were craving – I love the sisig and crispy pata, even the bulalo served in palayok is so amazing. In addition, the place is near the corniche too, so after a great tummy full battle with the food, you can just cross the street and walk along the Corniche Area and get some fresh air and spend more time with whoever you are with. Furthermore, it is located at Al Ain Palace making it so elegant.

If you are just craving for non-muslim, filipino type of foods or if you don't know how to cook non halal recipes, this is a "good"place to go to. However, the taste of crispy pata, dinuguan, sinigang and sisig are just average for my taste considering its price. It doesn't do justice.

Crispy pata - yeah, crispy skin but the meat is not tender.

Sisig - As I said, average. And I must say that whenever they serve this dish, it creates a thick cloudy sizzling smoke which won't go away for a long time. Their exhaust fan / ventilation is not that efficient. Keep in mind that smoking is permitted in this place.
27 January 2022 14:51
Love this place, food delicious, perfectly sized portions, worth the price, staff very friendly, need to go there at least once every two weeks.
24 January 2022 12:07
If you are looking for a cozy place to enjoy Filipino food with a nightout-ish feels, this is the perfect place for you? The food made me feel homey, and they even serve alcoholic drinks. There were live bands before and you can sing karaoke but it was stopped because of the Covid protocol. But the ambiance is the same.
19 January 2022 4:04
I miss the take away 50% offer. Hope they'll continue this promo atleast once a month.
19 December 2021 2:08
I was recommended a menu by an employee. Pork was too expensive and the soup was extremely sour. I'm so disappointed that I won't come again next time.
03 December 2021 21:47
Awesome food! Service is good, the employees are very nice and work very hard.

The one star missing is for the owner not having enough employees. I went there 3 days in a row and still only 1 waitress. How can you have only 1 waitress when there are many customers who order a lot of food.

Please have at least 2 for lunch and 3 or 4 for dinner so customers dont have to wait for a long time just for simple things like water, forks, napkins, etc.
19 May 2021 22:23
Too expensive for the food quality. (Cabbage on Kare-kare; that's something new)
The male waiter was not in the mood to serve.
A lot of the things in the menu was unavailable.
28 April 2021 6:18
I was surprised that it took only 20 minutes to get my pick up order ready. Taste did not disappoint.

It's OK. Two of the bottled beers I wanted were not available and there was something on the menu I had wanted to try, that there was some sort of problem with and it was unavailable too.

The music in the place was too loud.

Not some place I'll be going back to.

MASARAP! (Delicious)

We ordered (takeaway) Lechon Kawali and Sinigang ng Baboy (not for Muslims) just to try it and also they have 50%off on certain days (Sat- Wed, I guess). We were hesitant at first but WE WERE AMAZED of the quality of the meat they used, veggies and quantity. They were very generous and kudos to the Chef - authentic taste of Filipino cuisine. We ordered also Dinuguan (Pork Blood stew) the day after and wow, the stew is perfectly seasoned - not too sour and no after taste. Looking forward to trying the rest of what they have on their menu. Also, the staffs are very friendly and accommodating. God bless.

Where have you been all my Abu Dhabi life? Turns out Kuya Juan has been in the Al Ain Palace Hotel for quite some time, and I never knew it! Prices are a little higher than other Filipino restaurants around town, but it has two key features few others can claim: pork and intoxicating beverages. I've never visited the Philippines, but Filipinos I've dined with at Kuya Juan say the dishes are about as close to home as you can get. Solid choices include: grilled marinated pork belly, pork sisig, Dinuguan (pork innards in a blood sauce), pork adobo, lechon, papaya salad, calamari, crispy pork ears.

We arrived to the restaurant at 1800 and we dont know that need reservation because when we look at to online there's no such thing Mentioned. We need a table for 10 person however they told us they cant accomodate us only 4 person with one table available but there's no guest yet and they are asking if we can wait till 8pm. But we cant because we have limited time only so were there just to eat and run where we will not consume 2 hours anyway. So they offers just take out but we just plan to look for another restaurant and yes we wasted our time and taxi just to go there. So what will you feel if your excited to go there and you can see table still free and no one is there, what if they accommodate us then we will leave. So it's a very big disappointment where we are craving to get our dinner to them.

It’s my first to try filipino food and it was great and amazing experienced. I would like to say thank you for the good service of the staff especially Jerome. Godbless and more power!

This is a slice of heaven for all Filipino food lovers! Mandatory stop every time I'm in Abudhabi. The food has a distinct homemade taste.really soothing and comforting! And lots of San Miguel to go around! And as a bonus, evenings are graced with talented bands who will sing your favourite songs.
11 January 2020 15:53
If you're looking for all you can eat filipino pork galore in an Arab country then this is the place to be. Food is great, nice ambiance, live 2 piece band on the weekend and super duper friendly staff. I came in twice on a Friday and on a weekday and the staff still recognised me. Bloody Awsome.
09 January 2020 2:27
Great Filipino restaurant. The food are very authentic and even better than Filipino restaurant in the Philippines.

My favorite is the Kare Kare which you can tell from the taste that it doesn't use pre-mixed ingredients. The pork sinigang, crispy para are great too. I love the leche flan as well.

The staff and waiters are very friendly and accomodating too. Serving time is quick also. Please tip your waiters, they deserved it.
24 December 2019 18:34
Really lovely discovery. A community hub with delicious food, warm and welcoming service, and good prices. The all-you-can-eat Friday buffet (85aed) is not to be missed.
21 December 2019 11:05
Ambiance is good. The duoband is excellent. BUT VALUE FOR MONEY IS A NO NO. The Al Ain Water 1.5 Liters cost 35aed (my goodness! It's not even a sparkling water!) Their one glass of Iced Tea about 250ml, costs 30aed. Drinks from outside is not allowed and if you plan to eat your birthday cake in the venue, they will charge you for 50aed.

A very nice restaurant that serves Filipino cuisine and frequented by Filipino (Pinoy, Kabayan) expats in Abu Dhabi, UAE. The food is great tasting, and the restaurant has a relaxed ambiance. It is a good place to partake of a sumptuous meal with family and friends. There is also a live band at a scheduled time at night where members play Filipino music, and customers can also request a song for the band to play. I love their crispy pata. The price is competitive.

Great place to visit for a change as an Indian. Nice interior, perfect lighting, smiling and very interactive staff. Food is the best with beers.love to visit again.
27 February 2019 0:28
I love the live band who plays easy listening music. They serve Filipino dishes with Pork so it's not suitable for Muslims. The staff are friendly but the place gets easily packed esp on weekends
31 January 2019 4:57
Staff are so accommodating. Nice food. Good ambience for those who want to just chill. Good food. You could easily have amazing times in here with good friends and family. Kudos to Kuya Godwin for serving above and beyond what is expected of waiting staff. Kudos to the people behind the kitchen. Keep up the good work!
