This is a very interesting and educational place. You're likely to bump into a scientist or two when you visit this place. The ride on the carbon free, driver less cars is pretty exciting. A good place for families and car enthusiasts to visit

Great locality with easy access to anywhere in Abudhabi.once fully developed it will be a prime location to live

Best place to be in world, would recommend anyone looking to do AI, artificial intelligence courses

Upcoming Eco friendly, peaceful and self sustaining community.
Not many residents yet as the only residents for now are crew for Etihad airways.

It's my favourite place for a live work and play experience. A must place to see the depths of sustainable living.

The park situated on the North side has a nice track for walking and jogging. It appears to be a great destination for many inhabitants of the city and can become crowded at times. The walking / jogging path goes through several solar energy projects and has several resting and cooling off areas with water fridges, although these were empty at the time of my visits. Other parts have children recreation areas and playgrounds.

Nice technological and tourist place to visit in Abu Dhabi. Solar power and self sustained power city.

Still under construction, too dusty and dry place.
Only one mall city centre without much option inside.

Visioned to be a sustainable city. It hasn't exactly met it's potential however remains true in its spirit to clean energy. Defenitely a good initiative in the region

We wholehearted agree with Masdar's aim to develop a “greenprint” for sustainable cities of the future; if only Malaysia would take a leaf from Masdar's book

This is a really cool neighborhood that has taken innovation to the next level to create a more environmentally friendly space with keeping sustainability in mind. They have used all kids of techniques and technologies to ensure the area runs off clean and renewable energy.

Being in masdar make you forget about the world outside there, it has all that you need franging from accommodation, restaurants, shopping mall, shuttles and above all the Khalifa university the use of renewable in all building and street lighting wow.

The concept of a self sufficient sustainable city with driverless electric cars to take you from the parking area to the city, just amazing, as is the architecture and the grounds which they sit on.
Interesting place to walk around and to wander/wonder.

Nice working environment, contains expanded park, having food and beverages outlets, a children’s playground, music wall, sports facilities and design installations themed on sustainability. Main attractive thing its using sustainable energy.

We visited Masdar City when there was an fun event for families going.
If you are interested in sustainable environments this place is worth a visit.
The buildings demonstate a variety of ways in which we can live in greater harmony with our environment and the driverless buses are interesting too.
We wanted to know more info about the project,  but there no tour guide and going inside the building's are not allowed for visitor's.

Masdar City is a planned city project in Abu Dhabi, in the United Arab Emirates. Its core is being built by Masdar, a subsidiary of Mubadala Development Company, with the majority of seed capital provided by the Government of Abu Dhabi. Designed by the British architectural firm Foster and Partners, the city relies on solar energy and other renewable energy sources. Masdar City is being constructed 17 kilometres (11 mi) east-south-east of the city of Abu Dhabi, beside Abu Dhabi International Airport.
Masdar City hosts the headquarters of the International Renewable Energy Agency (IRENA). The city is designed to be a hub for cleantech companies. Its first tenant was the Masdar Institute of Science and Technology, which has been operating in the city since it moved into its campus in September 2010

A wonderful city deigned using sustainable concepts of architecture. Beautifully deigned building and spaces combines modern and traditional architectectural finahes and facades. An amazing upcoming neighbourhood near to abudhabi airport. Must visit for design enthusiasts.

I love the innovative, futuristic and cutting edge technology that epitomize Masdar City. Needless to mention the wonderful aesthetics and a well planned layouts for their facilities. Kudos!

Its a very beautiful place to visit and has some alright offerings regarding food. No shopping though. My biggest concern is the fact that some of its main attractions are either not working or suspended. For example, the self driving cars that took you from the parking lot to the main Plaza are currently not working. As well as some of its futuristic features which the whole of the city are known for.

I was fascinated when I knew about Masdar City and its future plan in generations to come. You knew the people behind this care about the future, the state of the art structures makes this one of the finest future city to come and for sure will attract more eyes, different nationalities will flock for sure once this City is done and established. Truly remarkable.

Good for fans, who are really interested in the technology which was and is used to build Masdas City, but very empty and not to much to see for the normal tourist.

This new modern small city is unique for it's design and sustainability! All the city is all solar energy sustain and there is alot of unique buildings! Is a small place where you can walk and find banks, offices and nice coffees stores! Is located near Yas Island and there is also a nice park and bycicle path

Masdar City is a growing clean technology hub that is pushing the boundaries of urban design and renewable energy. Interesting place for students and those who are interested in clean energy technology.

Quite city, also there are free buses and takes inside the city, visit and pay nothing for transportation
