Oh my gosh! We were looking for authentic restaurant near us and thank Goodness my husband found this!

The foods are Authentic! Like im talking the noodles are made from scratch! The duck oh my gosh so good with the wrap!

Orange chicken is so crucnchy and juicy!

It tastes terrible, the pictures on the menu are completely different from the actual dishes. The saliva chicken didn’t have spicy chili oil and was still bitter! The pickled fish was lumpy, not flakey, and tasteless at all! The couple's lung slices are just a layer of meat on the top and full of cucumbers on the bottom! The Texas Grilled Chicken is not spicy at all with the sweet and spicy sauce! It was too unpalatable to eat, so I added some green onions to fry the mutton. The result was sweet, the meat was deep-fried, and there were very few green onions!
I really don’t know where I learned Chinese food! Get another chef!

Ordered on Talabat, but it was the most authentic chinese food I've had outside of China. Will visit the location next time for the real experience.

Peking duck is just amazing, one of the best I have tried. We also got cabbage salad and potato salad - definitely worth trying. I am already thinking of the day to come back for peking duck, this time with duck soup!

Xiaolongbao. I have to begin my review with that because it's one of my Holy Grail dishes and they're a rare find in Abu Dhabi ~ City Palace serves! Nicely sized and soupy.

Their menu has all the 'greatest hits' of comforting Chinese cuisine, and the selection of dim sum/appetisers are great when dining solo: siew mai, potstickers, wonton, calamari, and that coveted Xiao Long Bao (plus desserts like mini pumpkin pies, and gold & silver buns with condensed milk for dipping). Yummy. The food looks better than my bad photography indicates

The food is not tasty at all. It feels like the money paid is not worth it considering it is 68dhs per person and other restaurants even have cheaper prices but tasty and delicious food. I was honestly disappointed as I was expecting the food to be good and even recommended the restaurant with my bf to have our iftar. The dim sum are all dry and without available sauces and the spring rolls are lacking in veggies and only plenty of wrapper. Iftar time most of the food treats are empty particularly the Peking duck and have to wait for the refill. Tomato and egg soup is not good, tastes bland. For the noodle soup, you even have to ask the servers otherwise you won't have it yet you pay for the full price of iftar! Desserts section too looks like leftover buns without any creativity for design to look tempting to eat. Overall, it is not a good experience, will never come back definitely. Not worth it, driving all the way from khalifa city to reach there and found that they already opened the iftar buffet and it is not yet time for iftar! The lack of respect for the timing and people just kept eating. At least in other restaurants, other guests have the decency and respect to wait for the call to prayer and the restaurant opens the buffet. But not with this one. Definitely not a pleasant experience.

This is the buffet i was looking for. Just enough food options and i was able to taste all the foods that has been served.

The dishes are full of scratches, it's looking very awful for the eyes to see, asked them to replace it two times, still same scratches, looks dirty and cheap omg!

Came here last night for dinner because we had always made the trip for the great Lanzhou hand pulled beef noodle soup. The quality has unfortunately greatly decreased. The noodles were the only good part of the meal. Can’t say there was much flavour in our shrimp dumplings, spicy scallion pancakes, or soups. The vibe was also something we used to tolerate for the food taste/quality but sad to say we won’t be back.

We had dinner at New City Palace tonight and it was great. We loved the food and the 2 Filipino dining crews are very accomodating. We will definitely be back!

This restaurant serves the authentic Chinese dishes and prepare them typically to same local traditional cousin. We tried the mongolian beef, plain white rice and 6 peices spring rolls all for 70 Dirhams, the best spring rolls ever.

The Mongolian beef from PF Chang is crispy and sweet yet tasty, this one is more healthy, tasty on its way, not so sweet and not crispy but we enjoyed it a lot, the quantity was enough for 2. I recommend it with 5 star.

Came here on a Friday for early quick lunch. Ordered the noodle soup (soup based was good along with hand made noodle) and also Peking duck. Both were good and reasonably priced. Parked right in front and as it’s a Friday, it’s free parking. Highly recommended!

Decent food, but the vegetable ramen lacks flavour and vegetables, the black fungus was not available. Otherwise very clean place and was quiet in late afternoon.

Decent Chinese food is so hard to find in Abu Dhabi! I read an online recommendation for New City Palace Restaurant -Chinese & Filipino Foods for their duck and quickly jumped onto the duck band wagon. Ducks were literally flying out of the kitchen during our visit: three orders for whole ducks for delivery, and most big tables ordered the duck. Duck duck duck. We also ordered the Beef Lamian, shrimp steamed dumplings and Xiao Long Baos. The noodles were hand pulled and very good. The soup was very tasty. The dumplings were the biggest disappointment but comparable to other dumpling out there so I guess it’s not so bad in this market. The Xiao Long Baos had no soup in them with the dumpling wrapper being super thick.

A Chinese restaurant I would revisit. The 炸酱面zha Jiang mian is good. Other recommended dishes are like Peking duck, chives pancake, eggplant dish and dumplings. Quite an authentic Chinese restaurant

We loved everything, especially the Peking Duck (tip: order whole, so that they’ll make all the rest of the duck parts and bones as a broth soup which is so soothing!), crispy beef, the sautéed spinach and watercress, egg fried rice, and the prawns in szechuan sauce.

A friend brought me here initially. The place is like a classic Chinese style restaurant with some tables with lazy Susan, it’s interior is not so fancy, the food is great!

The food is good as takeout, do not dine in. The potsticker dimsums were yummy, the duck was dry but good.the problem is that the place is not up to clean standards - not talking about hygiene, just general cleanliness, the place needs proper vaccuming and cleaning under cabinets and under the tables.everything is smudgy.

Since moving to Abu Dhabi last year, our family has struggled to find a solid choice as a go-to Chinese food restaurant without spending a lot of money. I think we may have found our spot with New City Palace Restaurant.

Centrally located in the city, this restaurant has an ample menu of Chinese dishes to support anyone's tastes. While not fancy on the inside, it is clean, and the staff is very friendly. Our server helped explain a number of the dishes and made some great recommendations.

Their specialty is Peking Duck and have one section of the dining room sectioned off for the cooking and preparing of China's number one dish. They also hand-pull all of their noodles. We sampled them in the Beef Lamian (a huge soup bowl full of goodness) and Cold Noodle Mix. We tried the Honey Walnut Chicken dish which was really good. The batter they use was light and gently fried before mixing it with the firm walnuts and not-overly sweet honey sauce. We also tried the Fish Szechuan, the Shrimp pot stickers, and Orange Chicken. All of them were delicious.

The other nice thing about New City Palace Restaurant was that it was family affordable. With food and drinks, it came to about 70 dirhams per person. Since this was our first time here we ordered quite a bit of food. We even ended up taking the cold noodle dish home with us. We could have spent much less but we wanted to sample as much as we could to see if the quality straddled all of their dishes. It did and we can't wait to go back an sample out the duck dishes they were preparing for the table next to us. It smelled amazing.

The New City Palace Restaurant has some new customers and if you like Chinese food you should try it as well!

The Lanzhou noodle and Peking duck are the real great taste from China, Number 1 for many years!

Authentic Chinese food at very reasonable prices!
The dumplings (chicken) and Siu Mai (prawn) was tasty and we couldn't get enough of them!
Braised chicken was flavorful, but given my inexperience with them, not sure if I can comment on whether they were good enough!
The Chinese milk tea was tasty and had a nice twist with the coconut jelly.

They offer authentic noodle soup that you can see on your own eyes on how they make the noodles. It was a good experience and delicious noodles i have in this restaurants. You should try their dumplings too and the pecking duck.

The duck you need to order in advance but it will bring you back to China.

Above average Chinese duck restaurant for AD. You know its pretty legit when you see the Chinese chefs and Chinese tour buses stop here. Food portions are good sized, prices are reasonable, and taste is solid. Highly recommend the duck, sichuan boiled fish, and stir fry string beans.

Regular customer. The food is some of the best Chinese food I had around the world. However was very disappointed when I returned a dish that I order every time being way too spicy in this particular occasion (and trust me I eat spicy when I go to Thailand I ask for maximum spicy). The chef came trying to explain that it’s the recipe, I said I know but today it’s unbearable. When came the bill the dish was still on it when questioned the chef said he can’t removed it, seeing my frustration he wanted to removed it for me it was too late hence my two stars. The food is great the staff is really nice and on this occasion they were very embarrassed knowing I m regular customer.

Sweet Sesame balls was fantastic and stir fried green beans was very delicious, I would definitely come back to try other dishes or order from zomato or talabat for delivery.

Lived in Shanghai for 8 years before moving to the UAE, authentic Chinese food is comfortably my favorite and I'm a big eater. This place hit the spot. You know it'll be good when you walk in and there are couple of tables with 3 generations of actual Chinese people sat at them. Then you see all the chefs are Chinese too. We had 1/2 duck, chicken pot stickers, Kung pao chicken, egg fried rice, stir fried chicken noodles and scrambled eggs with tomatoes. All dishes were spot on and plentiful, loads left over for dinner tonight. Next time, hopefully be there without the kids and I can up the spice levels.

The hero dish was the definitely the duck. And for good reason. They were not stingy with the portion and the roast was done to perfection.

The restaurant is not fancy and quite casual in interior and exterior.
It seemed popular with the Chinese expats (this is an excellent sign) as everyone visiting looked like me and it was great to see the chef (the duck one at least) was Chinese.

To duck or not to duck?
No question about it - duck! (Skip the dumplings but get the noodles)

We visited in September 2019 and ordered duck for delivery October 2019.

If you can’t make it in for the duck, delivery is still an excellent option.

(I mean, that's basically how they greet you at the door =) ) food is cheap, authentic and delicious. But takeout orders are much preferred to dine-in service

Had a lot of Peking duck around the world. This is one of the best among them and it’s available locally here in Abu Dhabi. They even have their own dedicated roast oven just to roast duck. Also the hand made noodle with soup was good as well. It had a well balanced soup taste, not too salty. Highly recommended. Oh and staffs were very friendly and helpful. Big thumb up from me.

Unexpectedly good Peking Duck - extremely good quality and reasonably priced. The soup dumplings (listed as "xiao long bao" on the menu) aren't really soup dumplings though, unfortunately, but the great duck more than makes up for it. The hand pulled noodles are also really really good, both dry and in soup.

My first ever Authentic Chinese Restaurant in Abu Dhabi. The food was delicious, mostly their Peking Duck, it was amazing. I tried their Beef Lamian as well it is really good and made in front you. Great service and nice place. I'd like to come back and try other dishes like dim sums.

I love this Chinese Restaurant. One of a kind and authentic Chinese Cuisine. I've tried this 2 dishes and can't complaint anything on how they prepared it. I would come back next time to try their Peking Duck and Beef Lamian.

Our fav chinese pulled noodle to go places.the beef lamian was to go for.the noodles is handmade with each order.the kids enjoyed watching how the noodle was pulled in front of them.
