New Visitor Center & Plaza at Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque Extension

Souq al jami is new visitors center and plaza for shopping underground the shaikh Zayed grand Masjid

I shopped here for zara's beautiful clothes I like how the counselor is very good and this shopping center is also crowded and the convenient parking lot is easy to find and many parking spots.

The air conditioning works very well, and you can purchase clothes that are suitable for entering before going to the temple at a reasonable price.

Amazing place. Great place to get pretty photos and admire the beautiful architecture it's holy place for Muslims so it's important to dress properly and respect the place. I recommend going close to sunset time, so you gain daylight and sunset. Two different views.
The visitor center has a lot of stores, food, clothes (you can buy traditional abayas from there with good prices).

Impressive: the size, the architecture, the peace.
The visitor center - more of a small mall, for shopping, something to eat or drink is the underground access to the large mosque.
The woman or man who is not dressed according to the dress code has the opportunity to cover themselves appropriately for just 45 AED!
The tolerance and required respect that is lived here is worth experiencing in other religions in order to appreciate life.

Good but more buggies needed! Good selection of cafes to get cold drink after all the heat.

This was a unique experience! The mosque is an architectural marvel. High quality and unique finishes with the world's largest hand made rug. The mosque is huge. Great photos. We enjoyed our visit. The visitor center is also massive with great food options and gift shops. Abu Dhabi is a luxurious city.

Recently visited the newly opened sheikh Zayed shopping centre.
Beautiful infrastructure, serene ambiance and a good spot for a walk as well as shopping.
Calm and tidy spot.
The entry is free.
Spacious parking area.
Beautiful view of sheikh zayed mosque.
Would give a 10/10
The mall includes Mc donalds, starbucks, costa, cinnabon and much more
Would surely visit again

To enter the souq you need green pass alhosen.

Overall organized area, clean, friendly stuff

Good to visit it if you come here to visit the grand masjid.

Evening time is better you can set outside area as well enjoying the beautiful colors of the grand masjid.

I live in the neighborhood and used to come here to do my quick grocery shopping, brought my baby to the play park etc, but they recently made the parking incredibly difficult and inconvenient. They closed down the first parking on the right and they make you go all the way around, directed by 3! (Last security man is really rude) Security men, and stopped by one local man who will ask you what you are doing there. So you need to go through 4 men in total to get into parking, driving around for a long time. I’m sure this long inconvenient parking process put many locals off as well, as I used to see them coming to the mall just to hang out, eating pink berry froyo, drinking coffee, doing quick grocery shopping like me, now I only see tourist who are here for the mosque. I won’t come back again either, it’s just a hassle. Great shame.

EXQUISITE! MAJESTIC!
The Grand Mosque at night was part of an excursion during my visit to Abu Dhabi. And I was, and am still, Blessed to have experience such a sight.
The mosque is beautifully detailed & adorned, from the exterior to the interior.from the floors to the ceilings.
A calm & peaceful atmosphere!

If it wasn't for a limited time with a guide & group, I would've loved to walk at my own pace and see more of the Grand Mosque.and maybe, check out the stores in the Plaza.

Architectural masterpiece

THE PROJECT. The New Visitor centers are 2nos.of Dome made of Glass & steel to provide Access to Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque as General & VIP Entrance. The project started at October-2015 and scheduled to end by May-2016. Affan scope of work to design, fabrication, delivery, and installation of the complete steel, glass & Aluminum composite Panel structure forming the 2 No.domes to the New Visitors Center. The project is mainly Grid shell structure with light steel framing, use of rootlet & customized spider to support glass with special frit pattern
