Perfect nigiri, not so good Philadelphia, disgusting green tea from a teabag, awesome miso with mushrooms and udon soup

Location of the restaurant currently disadvantaged by the presence of works that prevent it from being easy to reach. However, this aspect cannot be attributed to the management of the venue. Good food and definitely good quality yakiniku at an affordable price. The service was good although a little slow considering that the place was half full. Unfortunately the environment was marred by a group of loud and rude kids who ruined the atmosphere, however the staff tried several times to bring them to order. 3 stars only for the unfortunate conditions, but I'm ready to change my mind as soon as possible

Nice atmosphere. Food was great tried their signature dishes of sushi, udon and tempura. Everything was great and tasty. Would recommend to anyone that wants to try authentic japanese cuisine.

Food itself is good, BUT their menu confused us and they charged me extra price without informing us, which is totally unacceptable!

They first told us to include free miso soup and salad for Teishoku menu. However when I paid the bill there was charge of 29 as extra. I can’t trust this restaurant at all.

I went with my son. It was a bit hard to find, but when we did - we were happily surprised.
The food was very tasty with many vegetarian options.

Great service and really good food. Location is a bit far and difficult to find so ensure you have their number to ask if lost. I think once construction is complete it will be better for access.

Authentic to its flavors and taste. Loved the sushi, on table grilling experience, rice and soup. I also tried avocado salad and it was amazing! Prawns tempura was also outstanding- the kids loved it.

Neat and well kept restaurant, with amazing staff and amazing food. If you crave Japanese, this is a must try place

Great food and excellent ambiance! They have private rooms, grill or non grill table, they have it all. Quite slow during service time, but it's fine to wait for a few minutes as they wanted all food to be serve hot and fresh. Worth every dirhams spent! I'll be coming back again!

I’m from San Diego where we have our own share of awesome culture, including Japanese restaurants. Never for a moment did I think I’d be impressed by a Japanese restaurant in the UAE. The tempura cake was out of this world, the rolls were delicious, and the meat was seasoned just right for my palate. I am so happy my fiancé and I found this place while staying in Abu Dhabi. This is a restaurant in a developing and waterfront area with new construction happening. I can’t imagine the traffic at this restaurant when the area is fully developed. Thank you for your hospitality and your delicious food.

This is the best place to eat Japanese food and Sushi! Cooking there gives you an amazing experience? ! I love going there to cook the meat and eat it with white rice! Sushi is 10/10. The place is quiet and clean. Perfect!

Amazing food experience with the builtin Table grill, great service, warm feeling great for the family.

This is the place to go if you want the freshest sushi. Great food, great staff. Only downside is the site which is not easily located. But the trip is definitely worth coming over for. I can for the all you can eat sushi and I am coming back for more.

One of the best japanese restaurant in Abu Dhabi. Sadly they replaced their soba with other brand recently

So far, the only Japanese place that offers yakiniku (meat grilled at your table by yourself) at reasonable prices. It used to be better couple of years ago. Ps. The plates are plastic because this is during covid-19 pendamic, so they're avoiding normal plates. I wonder if it is healthy to put hot food on those.

The only reasons to go to this place is Private Barbecue rooms. The ambience of the place is uplifting, the marinated chicken (with Japanese sauces) and Vegetables are perfect for Barbecue (Yakiniku). The Cosy ambience of the rooms doesn't allow any distraction from the outer dining area. The Japanese food doesn't suit many Palates, but the maximum of the Western World population is utterly in love with Sushi. Samurai Japanese Restaurant's Sushi is fresh and goes well with Ginger and Wasabi. The smell of the oil in Tempura is a spoiler, its dominant and may disrupt your dining experience. The Combination of the Rice, Kimchi, and Tempura as Bento Box may save the day, but that depends on your taste buds; being Indian, I love savoury than bland. Due to Pandemic and Government regulations, they use Plastic plates (which is not acceptable), and when hot food is served in that, it is hazardous to health. Instead, they replace the plates with non-plastic material or paper plates depending on the type of food. The Rice Cake is unique desserts and may help you to clear the table of satisfying note.

You cannot find the restaurant easily if you did not visit here before. The entrance is at the backside of the building. The foods are quite great especially Yakiniku.

This review is based on my experience on the day of posting and your experience may vary.

The place has a welcoming atmosphere with seating tables and rooms if you so wish to. The place is filled with Japanese writings with translations and pictures. My experience was on the floor seating and you have cushions to sit on. There is a grill or two on each table for the yakiniku or hotpot.

The waiter greeted us and showed us to the room and gave us the menu. We ordered samurai shrimp and tuna sashimi to get things going. For mains we went with assorted yakiniku with white rice and shrimp tempura on the side. To wash it down we ordered green tea and a coke. The food came within the expected time and we had a great time.

Now the things where I would consider nonessential but bothersome. The music was a bit loud for us to listen to each other without rising our voice. The lack of translation in the menu didn't bother me but I saw the confusion in the others.

Overall it was a nice experience and I wouldn't mind doing it again

Very good Japanese BBQ Beef. We were a family of 2 adults and 4 kids and we ordered 4 plates of BBQ beef different cuts, 2 order of Kani maki and dragon maki, salmon bento, bbq beef bento and shrimp tempura udon, we ate everything and they were all good. Service was prompt and very friendly. We even got free appetizer and dessert on the house. Very well recommended. I’m glad we came for dinner tonight.

I love this place but sometimes the waiters are slow.slow motion and slow thinking.that bring you drinks almost when you are done with food, can bring you another type of roll instead of the one you ordered

Underrated yet tasty Japanese restaurant. One of the few places in Abu Dhabi with scallop sushi, and it's tasty

It's not really my type of place considering food. But it has really great looks both inside and outside

If you're like me and don't care so much about the decor or the presentation of food in a restaurant, but are extremely keen on eating tasty food, YOU WILL LOVE THIS PLACE. The staff are very friendly and helpful, the food tastes absolutely amazing and there is a wide variety of cooked and raw dishes to choose from. My only criticism would be that with so much choice, making a decision on what to eat can be a little bit paralysing.

This is the best place for sushi

They have private rooms which is great to relax and unwind with a date.

The price is avg between 35 to 60aed depending on roll you choose. We love the shaki salmon is our favorite and we order it as aboori. It's a must try it's like butter melting in your mouth.

The crispy California is nice but only when we eat at the restaurant.delivered it doesnt come quite nice.

The samurai tempura shrimp on one of the rolls is quite nice! Sauce is slightly spicy. We've had it made poorly sometimes but usually it's delicious!

Kaniko salad is quite amazing here and recommended as a started.

Total for two with 1 salad 2 rolls I pot of green tea is usually 180aed.

A nice place worth visiting from time to time and the food is good yet the portions are a bit small
