The mosque had an old structure which was demolished in 2007.

The current structure of the mosque, which was designed by architect Ja'afar Touqan from Jordan, is a blend of ancient and modern architecture, with two minarets which are influenced by Moroccan Islamic architecture.  It occupies an area of 35,873 square metres (386,130 sq ft), and can accommodate more than 3000 worshipers, according to Gulf News. The design includes an extra 1000 car parking spaces for "future needs. "

It’s very big mosque beautiful architecture. Only problem is car parking most of car park paid park and u need to drive under basement and then u need to walk long. So it’s good when you are first time in Al Ain to see the mosque but for 5 times pray it’s going to be difficult. Thank You

مسجد جميل جدا، يتميز بالتصميم الاندلسي او المغاربي. من اهم معالم مدينة العين. يقع في وسط مدينة العين. الإمام صوته حسن. يتوفر مواقف للسيارات تحت المسجد. مكان روحاني فيه سكينة وفيه مصلى للنساء. هناك مصاعد كهربائيه من المواقف والحمامات في الاسفل لساحة المسجد. يقام فيه جميع الصلوات وصلاة العيد. رمضان فيه جميل وله اجواء إيمانية. اعتقد أنه المسجد المركزي لمدينة العين وذلك حتى الآن حيث قد يتغير عند افتتاح مسجد الشيخ خليفه والذي سيصبح الاجمل في العين. تقبل الله طاعاتكم.

Free admission with guided routes. Best time to visit and stay is from 5 PM to 7: 30 PM between sunset. The domes change color from white to blue. Head covering required to enter, arms and legs as well but the Grand Mosque provide standard clothing free if required
