One of the best open buffet restaurant in abu dhabi the food is tasty and so much varieties. The grilled is the bes in abu Dhabi the staff is decent and helpful the atmosphere is fantastic i like to keep visiting that restaurant and i recommend it to anyone who need to have a nice dinner with so much tasty food.

Sujeet is very kind person very helpful and polite. Overall experience is outstanding. The stuff in general are great

Breakast is superb! Apart from the display, you have the option to order from their breakfast menu. Mildred and Danilo were amazing! One of the best breakfast Ive had in UAE.

The Sofra buffet which was 566 for 2 persons and it was disappointing and not like usual the food have changed most of the food was cold and smelly I requested rice to my table and it was heated in the microwave and tasted like nothing it was bad experience i use to come with my family and enjoy the food every while i use to have a gold membership but i wont be visiting again. Side note: we requested couple of things and they were out of stock.

A definitely sumptuous dinner is all the worth! Having dinner at Shangri-la restaurant in Abu Dhabi is a culinary delight. The atmosphere is upscale yet comfortable, making it the perfect spot for life event’s celebration or any special occasion. The menu is extensive, featuring a variety of dishes that cater to a broad range of tastes.

If you're a seafood lover, the variety of options are available. For meat lovers, the meat served are tender and flavorful, it is impeccably cooked and melts in your mouth. Surprisingly, lamb and the beef brisket stands out!

The desserts are also fantastic. The chocolate fountain excites me which I have been craving for a very long time.

It’s not only the staff who are polite and very accommodating but their guests too! I was even complimented by one of the guests whose dining like us. Shoutout to Ms Monica from Monaco for your humbling appreciation.

Overall, Shangri-la restaurant in Abu Dhabi is a culinary gem and definitely worth a visit.

المطعم أغلبه مأكولات بحرية، يغلب عليه طابع الفذلكة مع طعام أقل من عادي بأسعار مرتفعة لاتتناسب من النوعية، وخدمة عادية مع ان الشيف كان بالغ اللطافة، لكن موظفي الخدمة لم يكونوا بمستوى التطلعات.

Very very average. We went to international night. For the price of over 200AED a person, it doesn’t come with basic drinks like water or soft. The cup of coffee is 29 aed so at the end it comes near 300 a person with drinks. The bottle of water is over 20 aed.

The food was very basic. To sum it up, pizza, Chinese noodles, some mushy vegetables, braised beef rib dish, a very dry chicken dish. And Indian food station. It’s worth it if you like seafood as the seafood selection is good.

I’d give it a 4 star max, this is not 5 star hotel food.

Salads are basic. Desserts are ok. The environment is really clean and elegant. Staff is superb.

We had brunch on Friday, the seatings we’re comfortable and the area has a nice space and not crowded. The food was tasty and awesome and high quality. One of the best restaurants, food is always amazing and tasty with plenty of options, and the value for money worth it. However, on that night there was a big group of drunk people they were making noise to others, we spoke to the staff they talked to them but then they started to make noise again which didn't make us enjoy the dinner. The price is AED 190 after 20% discount (fazaa discount)

I was told to go for this restaurant as best in town.i had high expectations and was going to celebrate my Mom's birthday - ambiance, seating and view were amazing but food wasn't
It was cold and stale and when I complained about it they served hot on my table but it was too little too late.
No name tags for dishes served at stations.we dont know what we are picking to eat.
After my complaint they tried to make it up but by that time we already were upset enough to not enjoy the food to full swing.

Buffet spread was quite good. Plenty of options to choose from. Only, issue i had was, they dont have veriety of vegetarian salads. Almost all salads have meat or seafood. I like veggie salads more.

Seafoods night on Monday. Yes definitely recommended. Fresh fish, the shrimps are exquisite, indian, moroccan cuisine.totally worth the to pay. Chocolate fountain taste so good. Good view.

Great dining experience, food was so fresh and delicious, we went to have dinner seafood night for our anniversary.and it was amazing.staff are very professional and friendly, a bit pricey but totally worth it!

It's inside Shangri-La.despite being a vegetarian there were ample food variety and had a decent dinner with family.it was amazing and specially chef Dinesh was superb he made absolutely mouth watering dishes.not to forget their salad Cornor and sweet Cornor including Arabic sweets and Baskin ice cream made the dinner memorable.fantastic hospitality @ Shangri-La Abu Dhabi

The food was very very good. My only suggestion is that they should place a description of what each dish is being served. I tended to only eat what I recognized, or asked when a person was available. The other item is to provide condiments. There was no horseradish sauce for the roast beef, and others for the many dishes that sometimes need a condiment.
Food was delicious. We will be back.

Huge variety of food for iftar, ambient environment, friendly staff, outdoor seating alongside waterfront. In short best place for dinner.in particular outdoor dining is a must try item.

One of our favoritest brunch in town and one of the oldest and most popular one too. The brunch, lunch or dinner at sofra never disappoints and always has a wide variety of dishes of all cuisines. The desserts here are just so amazing. And love the vibes of this place, right next to the pool as that grandeur is just something! Only concern is many a times we get charged a lot for the drinking water here, most of the meals and buffets around ABUDHABI generally serve water without a cost.

I arrived this morning after a 7 hour flight and 1 hour car journey. Check in was quick and efficient. I had emailed the hotel prior to my arrival and Mosaab came to greet me personally, that's what I call excellent service. I went to Sofra to say hi to the waiters I know from previous visits. The restaurant manager greeted me very openly and offered me a coffee. Such generous hospitality much appreciated.
My room was ready for me even though I arrived early in the morning great to be able to get settled so quickly. I needed a PCR test so took a taxi organised by the hotel to the local hospital the taxi driver. Mohamed kindly waited for me as there were no taxis at the hospital. Again great service.
I'm looking forward to the rest if my stay as I know I will be well looked after and given personal service. So lovely to be back and enjoying my favourite hotel and catching up with my friends.

Iftar better than previous years, but could still improve. Clear favourites gone too quickly or require long queues

One of the best buffet places in Abudhabi. I have been going there for years. The atmosphere is great, the service is excellent, the food is amazing and the grill station is outstanding. I would have given 5 stars if they had more food varieties as they used to have before pandemic. Their buffet varieties noticeably reduced in salads, main course, and desert. They should work more on that.

Outstandimg Buffet with a wide variety of salads, sushi sashimi, soup, sea foods, and increaddable tasting arabic dishes; not to forget the yummy deserts. Chef Marwan is an amazing cook. The buffet standards at improved immensly eversince I tried it around 9 months ago. Highley recommended.

Terrible experience… I used to come here a lot before and it was very nice and high end… today it’s extremely low quality, cutting cost in every possible corner.

This Resturant was very good and I used to dine with family quite often, but unfortunately my last visit was disappointed. The food collection was less, the food was not as good as before and on top of all, the service level decreased.

This was the worst experience I have ever had in a restaurant. The requested meal was not served as requested as the chef named VIRENDER told me I had enough of the Lobster in a buffet style of dining. I was embarrassed in front of many people and ended up losing my appetite. This action by the chef is not acceptable at all! It was not worth eating here! Though food choices from other restaurants were offered at a later stage, but the meal experience was not fine so ended up not taking the meal at all.

A wonderful dinner buffet with relaxing atmosphere and a high quality variety of international food.
Special thanks to Mr. Othman who is in charge, the true example for leadership who handled our buffet orientation and explained everything to us and took care of our night by himself.
In many occasions we saw him helping others and supervising the work flow.
Another cheerful person mr. Lijo who was the maestro of our table with his lovely smile and attention.

We tried the barbecue and seafood buffet; all food was fresh and delicious with a good variety even in desserts plus having a friendly staff.
I really recommend this place but a little crowded on weekends.

Based on my visit on 10 April 2021. Quite disappointed with Sofra. I've been a regular customer for years and was always impressed with the variety and quality of food it offers. This time I experienced a significant drop in quality. For example, grilled shrimps were not fresh, sushi's were old and bland, grills were greasy and below par. In terms of variety, the buffet was missing a lot of regulars such as the fatayer station, roasted chicken and roasted beef, additional cold salads and appetizers (such as salmon and shrimps). Service was good but slow as there were fewer number of waiters and waitresses. On the positive side, the sweets and desserts were good but also reduced in terms of variety. Once the best buffet in Abu Dhabi, Sofra has definitely stepped down from its throne.

Frankly, it was not a good experience, food was not prepared well, sea food is disaster, value for money is not as you expect, three stars for the friendly staff and their care, coffee and Sweets make the time better, we highly prefer enhancing your food quality and variety.

Shangri-la
A five star restaurant with great atmosphere and great food. We celebrated my sister's birthday and food was astounding from the suchi varieties to Vietnamese food that was provided to the assorted desert to all sweet tooth lovers. Had great time and nothing worry there barriers between you and the food to prevent anyone from getting sick. Added to that there are thermal termperature scanners as you exit and added to that security scanner to see if you have anything harmful. Great experience would recommend shagrila to anyone this won't be the last monumentous occasion with this great restaurant many more occasions. Since it uphold the 5 star experience.

Due to coivd situation and because they are one of the few resturant that have buffet during this time they make the prices higher and minimize the food variety.unexpected re-opening.

It is so so beautiful! There is a beach front and an outdoor sitting area, and the food is lovely. More than enough options to choose from.

We had a great time at Sofra Restaurant. The staff are really nice and all are very accommodating. They assisted us very well. One of the waiters (Aljon) served us well and even went inside the kitchen to give me one salad that I asked which is not part of the buffet. All other staff who assisted us were Danilo, Cindy & Cherry. Thank you Sofra BLD restaurant.

I visit this restaurant on Wednesday night where the buffet is an Arabian food selection. The variety of the different entries, salads, meets, desserts is just amazing. There is also an option of sushi and fish selection. Excellent place for group dinners. The pool area is next to it, so you can enjoy the beautiful view of the bay.

Food was excellent. Buffet is little bit overpriced. The "desert lady" was very nice and her service was excellent. I think her name was Semah from Turkey. Just ask for crepe and passion fruit ice cream, you won't regret it
Seafood is available daily but Monday is the seafood night. Thursday is steak and seafood night which I recommend

This review is of the mid-Autumn moon festival brunch held at Sofra.
It was 279 AED per person, non-alcohol package (if you have the Entertainer you could get 2-4-1 on the brunch) and included beach & pool access.

It was very busy the day we went.

The food overall was great quality.
I couldn’t tell you what I ate exactly because apart from the ice cream & sorbet, there were no labels for any of the dishes.
At a stab, I’ll say what I thought was lamb was great.
Due to the occasion, food from the hotel’s other restaurants, Shang Palace and Hoi An, were featured.

The service:
Pleasant but almost non-existent. We got served once for two soft drinks and once more when my husband was able to flag someone over for tea. I think this was due to it being so busy.
Entertainment: live band, face painting and paper lantern making. The latter for the occasion I think.

If you are selecting a brunch based on beach & pool access, you may want to note:
The beach was not the nicest ones I’ve been to. The bottom was slimey from algae and the water was not very clear. (Could be the time of year ‍️)
‍️ The pool was lovely with an infinitely edge.
The biggest downfall for me was the “changing room” I was directed to use. It had one toilet, one shower, one changing cubical, and many lockers.
There were no towels or toiletries.
I’m not sure how a brunch can be advertised with beach and pool access with such limited facilities available for everyone to use.

Overall: Fantastic quality food. If the service was due to the abnormally large crowd, then that is forgivable.

Definitely go for their Monday seafood theme buffet! Free flow lobster BUT u need to act fast for the lobster as it is always gone in a sec I am pleased they have Laksa but the taste is not that authentic. The sashimi are fresh and desert selection is a thumb up you can get freshly baked pancake or waffle too.top it with Nutella, syrup and strawberries

Me and my friends had dinner at Sofra Restaurant and the experience was great. From the welcome introduction of Bekruz, exquisite food serving of Chef Ryan and the service of Mohamed Mido, Danilo, Aljun, Sushila and especially Jemuel, they accommodated and looked after us so well. Food was sooo good, excellent service and relaxing ambience. Worth recommended!

This is the best buffet I’ve ever been. The variety and quality of products and cuisine is 2 levels above the average buffet offering, at least. The meat is coal grilled, the fish is fresh, presentation is astonishing, the desserts fantastic and the service awesome. They also have a wide variety of wines, including some really price/value wines like “ pétalos del bierzo”. Please be aware that it is still a buffet.
