Tori No Su

My family and I were recently at Tori No Su to celebrate my husband’s birthday and Father’s day. We had an exceptional meal and a wonderful time. Service was attentive and gracious - from the time we inquired about “Sushi Sunday” and all through-out our meal.

Honey was knowledgeable about the menu and very accommodating - she really went out of her way to make us feel special. Arlin remembered us from a previous visit and was very attentive.

We highly recommend their set menus which is a good way to sample their specialties. The selection was nothing short of inspired.

We look forward to our next visit!

The restaurant has a great ambience and vibe, both modern and with eastern japanese character at the same time.
We tried with the family, the all you can eat sushi option on Sunday and we were not disappointed. Excellent presentation and taste of all maki rolls along with the sake drink.
We would recommend that the sushi platters (8 pieces × 3 types, each) would come in the middle to share, instead for each person, so that more varieties would eventually come to the table to try and share.
Service was also good and waitress Princess was very kind and attending.
A place to come again.

Lovely japanese restaurant. We had a delicious dinner and the food was amazing. The tuna nigiri was amazing and would recommend it as a must to try lovely staff and great atmosphere.

Dull atmosphere for a Saturday night. Food was subpar and not a lot of variety. Also, some menu item prices are simply not justifiable. Service was great though and staff is welcoming.

Highly Recommended this Legit Japanese restaurant Located at Conrad Etihad Tower Ground Floor. Staff are so cool and relax (they have cool uniforms actually) they have doremon vibe the food is Great.it was prepared with Passion and Love️.
They are taking notes of the visitor food allergy which is A for good endorsement to the staff. The ambiance is great for dinner chill vibe.take note they still require green al hosn app. Book ahead of time to avoid long waiting for ur table. Highly recommended the Mochi Vanilla

Wonderful vibe, music and atmosphere. Our large group chose a variety of starters and main courses; overall food was poor and some or our party were served mains at the same time as others received starters. Waitresses in T shirts that looked like they’ve never seen an iron and service either so slow we could’ve got up and cooked it ourselves or so frantic we had the feeling we were being pushed out the door. Did the fact that we didn’t order alcohol have anything to do with it? Yes, I’m sure it did. This restaurant seems to cater for diners who enjoy their ‘tipple’ and aren’t too bothered about the quality of food or service.

Fabulous restaurant with amazing Vegan options.
The service was impeccable and the head waiter suggested some fabulous dishes. Loved the buffalo cheese with a japanese twist. The tofu with pumpkin was delicious too.

The elegant restaurant serves up delicious flavors. I usually enjoy their sushi and miso soup, however, I haven't gone wrong with anything on their menu yet. Compared with other Japanese menus, I found their selection a little shorter, but what they lack in number of options, they make up for in quality of food.
Customer service is amazing and their Maki is the best I've had in Abu Dhabi.

Tori na su is a one time visit place for sure. We over all loved our starters but main course felt like all of the meat dishes was preboiled and the sauces were just tossed in it. The vegetable which was served with the dishes were more flavourful then the main food.but the staff and service was good.i would like to edit my review and include that the customer care serves are amazing.after i posted the review i got a call from them with reinventing me and clarifying my doubts.will for sure go back and retry the food soon. Inshallah. The response was so quick and amazing i just fell very happy that they took immediate action.hats off.best of luck for future you guys.hope to visit soon.and as a result i increase my starts from 3 to full 5.

Was there for the Chef's table menu as part of the AD food festival. Doesn't rise to the standards a chef's menu. Specially the steak was dreadful. Sushi and sashimi were fine. The service was great and welcoming.

Just had a superb dinner here and Charisse was our server. She was very attentive and pleasantly cheerful. The food was fabulous. We had the sea food fried rice which was scrumptious. The Kani sushi was very delicious! The decor and ambience was brilliant and service exceptional.

I finally made it to this place and had an agreeable experience with my friends. Although I loved the sparkling sake, the food was good but not the best Japanese food in the UAE. The sushi doesn’t taste as authentic as they claim to be. Last the staff is outstanding and the place is beautiful.

Amazing food experience in Tori No Su, I booked the live cooking station only 2 are available in the restaurant and you need to booked it in advance. The chief was cooking the food in front of us. The food was so delicious. It’s better to have a reservation before you go. There is a valley parking available for free.

Best quality ingredients. Salmon so fresh it melts in your mouth. Really nice attentive staff, welcoming. Highly recommended. Each dish was super well made. Perhaps on the pricier side but the quality speaks for itself.

The food was delicious, bit the arrangement was quite boring to be honest. There's room for more. The restaurant itself is nice. Staff is very friendly and helpful.

After a while, to satisfy our cravings for sushi we wanted to try new place, Tori No Su came to our mind. To be frank, we were bit apprehensive to venture, however it was mesmerizing experience. To start with, very friendly and informative staff is specific Govindrao and Manika attended to us with occasional help from ever enthusiastic Tuk. Being first time we struck to conventional Maki rolls for starters and Prawn Soba noodles for mains.concluded meal with Mochi, we liked mango flavor than green tea. Varieties of signature cocktails. Overall, we had great time dining at this place. Must try for sushi lovers.

Excellent dinner, atmosphere, service. While on the pricey side (about AED 1000 for my wife and I) it was well worth it for a special occasion. The staff were very attentive and made the experience extra special (wedding anniversary). The food was of the best quality and they have an extensive sake selection.

Pros: ambiance, decor, service, menu but most importantly the food! Without no doubt the best Japanese food I ever tried! I had three different dishes all sea food. The black code is heavenly! Very praiseworthy! If you ask me, the best Japanese restaurant in Abu Dhabi.
Cons: nothing really!

You think to go to a fancy japanese restaurant:
- you enter, nobody welcome you, we wait literally 10 minutes at the entrance - nobody is looking at you, nobody cares you are waiting lol!
- Busy day, no table, we were sit in a non smoking area, but smells hell smoke (we don't smoke)
- change table, we were sit in front of the grill (thanks for odor & temperature)
- change table, finally we were sit at an "acceptable" table, why not this table at step 1?
- then we order, we waited our meal for >30 minutes.lol
- food is ok hopefully.

Fairly upmarket and pricey establishment, with really nice contemporary decor. Very polished and warm service staff. Menu items are a little pricey considering small serving portions. Quality is good though authenticity to Japanese dishes is still some way off.

We went there because they won dining awards in Abu Dhabi this year. We had chef’s set menu It was speechless.

Amazing experience! This is what you need to expect to get. After short introduction from chef Ando, I had a chance to taste through the menu. Starting with "right from the ocean"fresh and perfectly made sushi selection than moving from amazingly moist Miso Mayo Salmon to the grand finale - tender and juicy steak garnished with renkon chips. Simple dessert (green tea ice cream & fruit selection) at the end made this evening complete. To receive whole package this culinary art was served in very nicely designed restaurant by competent, helpful and friendly but professional staff. If you are looking for the top star Japanese cuisine in Abu Dhabi, Tori No Su at Etihad Towers is the place to go.

Tonight was the second night I dined at Tori No Su in the past week, and let me tell you it was beyond incredible. The staff are lovely. They remembered us from the previous night a few days ago, greeted us with warm and cheerful smiles. Our server (if I remember correctly, her name was Crystal) was very educated on all of the food we were eating, and was lovely to chat to throughout the meal. The food was absolutely stunning. All immaculately presented, arriving quickly, hot, and fresh. I’m a traveling private yacht chef, from Vancouver Canada, and have been lucky enough to grow up surrounded by some of the best Japanese restaraunts, ramen houses, etc. I definitely consider Tori No Su as one of the best, if not the absolute best Japanese restaurant I’ve ever had the pleasure of dining at.and I take my Japanese food pretty seriously.

Something I always consider when dining at a Japanese restaurant and eating sushi.is the quality of the sushi rice. At Tori No Su, the rice was absolutely perfect both times. Seasoned just right, cooked delicately, each grain of rice in pefect form, not squished or damaged. The chefs & cooks had it down to an absolute masterpiece.

Some of my favourites.

The bluefin tuna sashimi was top notch. Buttery but light, fresh as can be, and full of flavour.

The Foie Gras and Wagyu beef roll was to die for. Thinly sliced waygu, rolled with Foie inside, seared and served hot. Graceful little surprises! Definitely an impressive dish for the simplicity of two ingredients. The sweet potato quenelle on the side was very delicious as well.

The Ebi Ten Maki was so light yet succulent. With a delicious house made mayonnaise.the crunchy cucumber and soft avocado made this roll perfect.

The Prawn tempura was light and crispy as should be, not heavy or drenched in oil.

The Soft shell crab roll was very delicious as well. The Bonito flakes added a fishy flavour but the smokiness of the skipjack tuna paired very well with the soft shell crab. Personally I love the flavour of bonito flakes, my boyfriend was not as familiar with it, but also liked this roll a lot.

The Tuna Avocado roll was unique and tasty. Topped with a light wasabi passionfruit vinaigrette that gave it a nice tang and ‘pop. ’

One of the hardest things for me to find of good quality while I’m working in Europe is RAMEN. I know this is Abu Dhabi but still. I haven’t had a good bowl of ramen since I was back in Vancouver a year and a half ago. Here at Tori No Su, they currently have a house made Ramen promotion. On the menu are 3 different types of Ramen. Seafood, spicy beef, and pork. Both times I have had the spicy beef.and let me tell you it was INCREDIBLE. House made ramen noodles, the miso base was so intensely rich and flavourful. The mushrooms delicately sliced to the perfect size to melt in your mouth. The beef amazingly tender and cut into perfect mouthfuls. Big kernels of sweet corn. Crunchy bean sprouts, and other vegetables as well. This ramen is hands down the best I’ve ever had.

To finish it off they served us Yuzu Mochi, with a delicious hot fruity green tea. Perfect note to end on.

Round of applause for the Chef, and his well trained staff. I give this restaurant 10/5 stars because it was just that good!

Will I return? Absolutely yes. Hopefully multiple times before my work takes me to a different country!
