Poor level of customer service. I was to recieve a courier shipped out from India. I get a call from the delivery agent, who was kind enough to notify that there is a charge to paid upon delivery towards Vat. However I failed to understand what was the Vat applicable for, as the shipper had paid inclusive of all charges. When I called the company the staff was unable to explain what the VAT was for and kept saying they have been instructed to do so. I mentioned that before I am being asked to pay for anything I would like to have clarity on what I am being asked to pay for. I even enquired if this was for customs clearance charge but they were unable to explain. Then one of the staff said they will reach out to the shipping company to enquire on the charges paid by the shipper and provide an update. Again the staff was unable to provide clarity and by this time they mentioned their delivery agent has left and will not be making the delivery until the next day because I apparently refused to pay any charges. Reality being I only asked clarity for the charge I was being asked to pay rather than deny doing so. I was then told they will deliver the parcel next afternoon by 12pm. After several calls to the delivery agent and the office, the delivery has still been delayed. More over they don't even care to provide you an update when they promise to do so. The staff really need to take ownership and improve the service levels

Update - they did not take any additional charge upon delivery of the parcel.

This company’s UK branch is in control of items I shipped from Dubai to Romania (via a different company - PCC), and due to their negligence I am yet to receive my shipment 2 months later - I have no idea where my belongings are. They don’t respond and follow-up, and when I call DPD who they’ve subcontracted, DPD refuse to talk to me because I’m not “the named customer”. I’ve reported them to Trading standards in the UK. We will also be filing a complaint with Dubai Police against them and PCC who they work with, these companies should not be allowed to trade! DO NOT USE!
