As usual it’s a great experience, visiting Al Barsha vet never feels like going to a doctor, it always felt like going from home to another home, the desk staff, helping staff and doctors are all very friendly and very supportive, they always take the time to explain exactly what is happening and what is needed, it is a bit pricey but compared to the love I get from my Fur baby it is nothing.

Very happy with the service, we visited due to my dog feeling unwell and having bad experience with another clinic who kept asking for expensive tests and treatments.
Dr. David was very caring and reasonable when suggesting treatment for my pet, will definitely come back!

ABVC is an excellent veterinary clinic. Professional and caring service from the vets and all the staff.

Most probably the Best Clinic in town! After 20 years of residence in Dubai as expatriate, I never seen a Vet Dr accepting to call another Vet Dr to share about a different approach about a treatment. Usually Dr don't argue together but respect and protect each others even when they know one of their peer made a mistake. Dr Hélène did so - in a very polite way - and just save our dog! Now we are dealing with Dr Mehdi who is one of the most professional Vet Dr in town! I hardly recommend this clinic to all people who need!

I highly recommend Dr. Mehdi! Very professional and knowledgeable, he is a true specialist and a doctor you can trust. I had a cat with a severe illness, and Dr. Mehdi always provided the right prescriptions and advice to follow. I wouldn't go to another doctor here.

We highly recommend Dr Mehdi, he’s probably the best vet in Dubai, at least the best one we’ve ever met, both medically and humanly.
He speaks French which is always a plus for the French community to communicate and understand medical situations.
He’s extremely supportive, humble and patient and will try his best to cure your pet.
Unfortunately our beloved dog passed away a month ago but we are grateful to Dr Mehdi for his time and support during this extremely difficult time.

I just wanted to give a super special shoutout to this woman right here, Dr. Marie Therese and her entire team from @abvcclinic for literally saving our little buddy @tamaginkgo’s life. Words cannot express how grateful we are and I still can’t believe he’s back home now. It’s honestly nothing short of a miracle. Thank you ever so much for giving us some more time with him ‍️️

6 days ago, we noticed Tamago wasn’t his usual energetic self so we decided to take him down for a check-up. Dr. Marie Therese found out that he was in the early stages of a congenital heart failure and hospitalized him. For the first 48 hours he was literally on the brink of death, it was heartbreaking to see the little guy like that, in an oxygen chamber with severe breathing difficulties.

On the 3rd day, his condition was so bad that none of us thought he would make it through the night, not a sliver of hope.

But Tamago is truly a warrior! He proved us all wrong and fought his little heart out and with the care of Dr. Marie Therese and her team he managed to pull a 180 overnight! It was truly unbelievable to see. With her treatment plan his recovery kept going strong and just the day after he didn’t need to be in his oxygen chamber anymore.

And now he’s finally home with us, doing the things he loves with his new treatment plan. Thank you again Doctor, you and your team are truly a godsend ‍️️

I had bad experience with this clinic. I called and they gave me appointment at 3 pm with Dr. Marie, I even wanted to come earlier but they said they are busy, 3: 05 I was parking my car opposite the clinic when they called to ask why I am late. After I get in they told me to wait (no waiting area only cold window side to sit at) until 3: 45 the doctor was seeing another pet.why rushed me then? I told the lady at reception that I have another commitment and I need to see the doctor she said she informed Marie and she is aware that we are waiting! She came out of her room was wandering around didn’t even bother to apologize.she wasn’t finishing any time soon so I decided to leave! Guess what the Dr didn’t even bother to call only the lady at reception called to tell me few minutes more and the Dr will be free! 1 hour waiting without even being sorry. I left and went to the other clinic nearby without even appointment and they were busy, but they know how to deal with customers. Never again. Respect to be respected.

Always a great experience. They’ve taken care of my special needs cat for years now, and they treat her like family… because she is. (I adopted her from there.) Best vet clinic I’ve been to yet. I always end up back there. ️

I called you yesterday to inquire about your pricing and till now i never got anything about your consultation fees. I was treated like a threat to your business for some reason. I was told I would get it WhatsApp, but I have yet to receive it. Lost me as a customer already.

Good Customer service! I feel that my dogs and all the dogs have a wonderful vet practice to help with all their needs. You guys give us so much personal attention, and we appreciate everything you do.

The vets at Al Barsha Veterinary Clinic are wonderful to deal with. Our cats get quite stressed when visiting the vets but Dr. David is so patient with our fur babies. He does everything possible to put them at ease and make the experience less daunting for them.

Great staff, handheld a jumpy and injured animal. Especially to Dr Mhedi Mzabi. His a great and amazing doctor who help moon. My cat has injured 2 legs without hesitation he offer help to find donor for moon surgery. I salute you Dr mhedi and your team.

Doctor Metje is a fantastic vet, always very friendly, helpfull and happy to answer all my questions. She really cares for my 2 Jack Russells which I can tell by seeing their tails wagging from happiness when they see her ️

As per usual, my visits to ABVC are always impressive - friendly, courteous staff, informative, and pets are well cared for by all.

I have been using this place since 2010. Always had very positive and pleasant experiences with Dr Mehdi, Dr Isabel and Dr Metje. The staff on reception were also friendly and helpful. Had a very bad experience in 2016 with another vet who still works at this surgery. I complained and felt the owners did listen and respond appropriately. Still get anxious taking my pet now which is a real shame as prior to that experience, it was really great and never a concern.

*since 2020, we now use a different vet clinic because of the negative experience and the lasting effect on our pet.

The doctors are very profesionnal and friendly. They give you a good explanation about your pet, the treatments he needs. The team is also very friendly and helpful.

I highly recommend the Clinic, not only for the veterinary services, I also recommend them for travel your pets. They provide an excellent service regarding the travel documents and requirements for your pets. Benedict helped us a lot with our cats to travel from Dubai to Paris and London, he did all the necessary tests, the export permit and all the required documents, so my cats arrived happily safe! He is a great professional. Thanks a lot ABVC Team!

We have been coming here since we got our fur babies based on a friends recommendation and can honestly say that both us and our cats always have a pleasant experience. The staff are always friendly and very knowledgable, they are happy to talk to you and give you small pieces of advice on better pet care to help make your home more happy and harmonic.

I love this place. They are always very quick to see our pets when they need to come in. The front staff is friendly and helpful. Dr. Metje is great and very knowledgeable.

I have always approached ABVC with all the major issues with my pets and they have handled them extremely well.
Even though they do respond to all the calls, I would request them to give timely update about the surgeries on WhatsApp too.

Always so polite and always available. They answer all the questions almost immediately either via WhatsApp or on the phone.

They quoted me AED 85 for the municipality tag for my dog. What a joke.

Why don't you increase it a bit and charge AED 200? Or make it AED 500 even better.

My Maltese needed surgery to remove a mass on his eyelid. His vet of 8 years was on leave and he needed the surgery done ASAP. I was referred to Dr Metje who took him in and operated smoothly with zero complications. She called before his operation to go over more things based on his blood work. She's very professional, very thorough and very compassionate.
Based on my paranoia, which was entirely in my head, I asked to come back only after 2 days to just check on his eye and Dr Alexandera let us come in the same day. She talked me through everything, explaining every last detail and put me at ease.
The vets, the staff, are all very accommodating and quick to respond to ensure great customer satisfaction and well being of the aniamls.

Dr David is fantastic and you can tell that the staff have a genuine love for animals. Always friendly, informative and gentle with my pup. Big thanks the Raphael too (I hope I’ve spelled that correctly!) thanks ABVC, we wouldn’t go anywhere else!

We've been going to Al Barsha Veterinary Clinic for many years now with our cat Dolce and have always had impeccable service and found the vets to be very caring and knowledgeable. Recently we had to make a terrible decision to put Dolce down due to multiple severe terminal conditions and the onset of pain/suffering that we did not want for her. ABVC made that day just a little bit less terrible by handling the situation with the utmost respect and care. Unfortunately, I have gone through this experience before, with another clinic, and that experience was nowhere near as caring, honoured, and peaceful. For that, I wish to thank all the staff at ABVC for the compassion and respect you gave our family in very challenging times.

I use ABVC for my cats but also for TNR programs. They are organized and their process is always easy to follow. They are very professional. All cats who had surgeries here never had a problem.

They let my friends kitten die due to their neglicence, they didnt notice a condition that he had been suffering from for many months and he died after a week of getting him checked by them and their expert vets saying "he's fine", this is not a joke do not trust their "expertise"!

Dr. Metje Zegers is really a wonderful vet. She is swift, knowledgeable and kind to the dog. Excellent service and care.

ABVC is very kind to stray animals, their free TNR campaign which I took part in was very helpful to help reduce the stray population. Very grateful for their professional and clean service

I'd recommend this place to all pet parents. I had my dog Oreo neutered there without any hassle. The next day he was up and about like nothing happened. Apart from that my dog had ingested a rusty thing and we were at the verge of losing him due to peritonitis. I went to 2 doctors before that in my area, but both told us off saying that he just had gastric issues. At ABVC, they immediately figured out it was something more serious and due to their quick diagnosis and surgery, we got our Oreo back. We are extremely grateful to all the staff there, right from the front desk staff to the vet assistants to the doctors who were very kind, patient and cared for Oreo just like their own. Special mention to Dr. David and Dr. Metje who performed the surgery and always kept us posted of everything happening with him while he was there. Thank you all.

My kitten died due to their neglicence, i had brought my cat to their establsihment a week before he died and she said he was completely fine after doing a basic check even though i pointed out the fact that he looked severly overweight yet someone demonstrated weighing less than his skinny looking brother yet the Vet didnt take that as anything serious. A week later after the visit i noticed my kittens breahting pattern being weird so i rushed him to Modern Veterinary clinic where the vet immediaately noticed what was wrong and tried his best to save him where he sadly didnt win the fight and passed away
please do not go here and risk your pet potentially dying, i wish i was told of something similar to this happening so i could still have my baby with me

DO NOT GO TO THIS CLINIC! My kitten was clearly sick, i take the kitten to the vet and they repeatedly say he is okay, i take my kitten to another clinic and he was in critical health, this clinic did not even notice! Very unprofessional and careless, if i took the vets word for it my kitten would have died!

I wish I could be nice and give this place more than one star, but the shoe fits. We brought our cat to dr Metje who required tests that are not necessary for diagnosis so that she can charge more. After weeks going there and lots of tests and send samples out while our pocket tears dirhams for the service, our cat still not well and that vet just know nothing except more and more tests. She dosent care about the animals there more focused on money.

Great team, very supportive, and I can tell that they really care about the animals they treat! We had one kitten coming around our villa. The poor thing had an infected eye and it was clear that it needed help. Once we brought him over, the vet have told us that we will need to get his eye removed. The staff really took good care of the kitty and he is now in recovery. We are really grateful that the team took such good care of the little one: D

Have 3 cats, 2 with chronic medical problems. Referred us appropriately, 1 ultimately has done better with care at ABVC than with a previous clinic. Both Dr. Mehdi and Dr. Michael have been thoughtful and knowledgeable. The entire clinic staff takes a real interest in all 3 cats and genuinely cares about their health. Our "boys" couldn't receive better care anywhere else.

A big shout out to this clinic, all staff and Ivan me coordinate the neutering of my stray and dumped cats - for free! It’s a wonderful initiative by truly sensible and caring vets. Seamless communication and service with a smile.

I have only had a great experience with ABVC so far. I had a foster cat Jerry who was epileptic and suffered violent grand mal seizures. When no other vet in Dubai gave me positive hope for the poor 5 month old cat, Dr Mehdi at ABVC gave us comfort and immediately put him on meds, thanks to which he today lives a great life in Germany with his adopted family and behaves like any normal kitty. I absolutely respect Dr Mehdi for being calm, honest, thorough and truthful with us and helping us go through a very difficult time. A lot of vets can be "good" in Dubai, but ABVC has been around long and I will continue to take animals there for any major illnesses. And I cannot commend enough their Spay a Stray campaign, I see no other clinic doing absolutely free surgeries in Dubai. This must take a lot of time, commitment and dedication for their team at ABVC to successfully do 200+ surgeries every Feb every year. My 2 females TNR cases who they operated on last week are happy and healthy and have resumed normal life, no side effects whatsoever. The staff are always polite, and special mention to Ivan for always greeting me with a smile and the whole team deserves respect. Great job guys, you have a new client for sure)

I can surely say they have a very good Drs and the team is very supportive and caring, I took my stray cat who had a kick on her chest and was hardly breathing, they operate on her a big surgery and kept her for 1 week boarding to recover and it was all for free. ABVC you are the best and thank u thank u thank u very much for helping this poor kitty

What a blessing to find a place that not only cares about making money but also about giving back to the community. The campaign of Spay a Stray is the best example of that and I can't thank enough the whole team of ABVC for their amazing efforts in this campaign. Many of our cats got this benefit and that help us tremendously to control the population in our community.

I had the Luck and chance to meet the amazing pet groomer Donnie, which handle Budi with very professional and friendly care! Thank you soooo much Donnie, see you next month again, and Budi apologizes for the few scratches he had done to you. As I ve been advised from different clinics to have Budi under anesthesia while clipping his nails, I Highly recomand Donnie as a best pet groomer in town! Thank you Donnie!

My experience with Barsha vet has always been excellent in dealing with friendly professional receptionists as well as the vets. Regardless your own cats or strays they do take care and give professional advices and their spay a stray campaign in Feb is a great contribution to the stray population and I'm very impressed by their love and care for the animals and not just being a business minded vet like others.

We have been bringing our 2 dogs to ABVC vets for annual vaccinations and medical exams for almost 5 years now. This morning I took one of our dogs to get his teeth cleaned by Dr Mehdi and the experience really exceeded my expectations! A true 5 star vet clinic!

Efficient, helpful and caring describe this clinic. I just wanted to thank Dr Michael and the staff for my cat's health. They did an amazing job with my kitty when she was almost dying and not moving suddenly when we didn't even expect she will live and now she is playful again and full of energy after they saved her life.

ABVC is 5-star care for your pet. The vets are top-notch and passionate about the care they give. I have adopted 2 cats from ABVC; an emergency situation I faced with one of them was dealt with swiftly and adequately. Most recently I have been amazed by their care for a desert-found rescue dog, who they have been able to operate on during foster care while finding a new home for him. The love this team has for your pets is just unparalleled.

So much care, knowledge and warmth. Excellent service and professionals who care just as much about your pet as you do! Highly recommended!

Reviews been written by pet owners or pet lovers but I would like to share my experience with ABVC from different prospective.

I am a vet who worked in 3 different clinics in Dubai before moving to ABVC and the difference is really huge as I worked with high and low skilled vets before and surprisingly ABVC maintaining the high quality standards with very rich knowledgable vets and making sure to train all the supporting staff to afford the best care to animals, Starting from Ellen who always supports and guide the team and Mehdi with very high surgical and medical knowledge with advanced approaches.

In so many clinics you will see the supporting staff so depressed or even have fake smile from the stress and work conditions and I witnessed so many sad stories before - one of them a pet owner had an argument with a vet mistreats his staff - but in ABVC you are welcome to come to our treatment room and watch the true smily staff who having the energy to stay the whole night monitoring sick animals and doing their best until the sunrise to relief their pain which done by true affectionate and caring heart not just by medical order.

Another unique thing in ABVC which is the support of animal organisations with 100% free surgeries (under T&C) which also been rejected from many clinics who are only offering discounted rate but non of them 100% like in ABVC.

Being a vet is not easy job, diagnosis and treating non-speaking animal with 90% unknown history under massive pressure of the owner who is freaking out from their love to their pets and doubts and financial and intentions etc, which made the veterinarian on the top list of suicidal jobs on the world.

I never wrote any review about any place I been working before until I joined ABVC and had the real taste of quality service and working environment which make me proud to be part of ABVC team.

I always have an exceptional experience at AL Barsha Vet clinic. I took my pet there and several strays to spay and never had any problem. Staff is genuinely friendly and caring, wait is never long, and all prices are well within your budget. They are real professionals and more than willing to work with you. Take your fur babies here, you won’t regret it!

ABVC has been treating my pets for many years, when I lived in Al Barsha. Now I am trying to help the cats in Al Barsha Pond Park through Friends of Animals they are kindly tnring 5 cats from the park and I found a little blind kitty running down the main road, without being asked, ABVC are taking care of her for me, cleaning up her eyes, vaccinating her, FIV test and neutering her and placing her in their battery until she is back to full health. First time in Dubai a vet has done this. Thank you very much ABVC, you are leading the way!
