Al Dawaar Revolving Restaurant

We went there maybe 10 times. Al Dawaar is always good. We never had any digestion problems although we eat much and mix food. I cut one star because they have 3 basic Sushi, no desserts with mangos or exotic fruits, wonton was basic and noodles were cold. Yes, eventually we found something nice to eat and enjoyed it but it was better before.

I had planned a post xmas treat for my wife. Below is my honest reviews for the place.

Food:
Really poor and disappointing. Let me start with the plates it looked really old and unwashed (Had to switch couple of plates to find the nice one). Glasses they offered to drink (water) was smelling. I had reached by 7pm for the dinner and few of the food was stale and cold.

Prawns and live pasta tasted good. Even the desserts as i feel are these where the only ones that were prepared freshly.

Service:
The service team was friendly. Making sure that we were comfortable. The Manager even checked in to see if the food was OK but i didn't want to say much and just kept it for Google.

I would like to give a shoutout to Fintya from the reservation team who made sure we got the best seats.

Atmosphere:
The Place was amazing. With the engineering that goes way beyond 40 years back and we getting a different view as we eat was a wonder.

Overall my take is the food has to improve and be fresh.

The dining experience fell short as the food lacked flavor, freshness, and texture. Service was mediocre, (considering it was in a 5star hotel restaurant) with a mix of polite and unprofessional staff.

Despite a decent view, overall, the visit didn't justify the expense or time invested.

It’s quite surprising to see many positive reviews this restaurant has received.

It was an interesting experience sitting in a rotating restaurant. U get a really nice view of the city all around. Great variety of food. The quality of food was also good If u want a place for a fine dining this one is truly recommendable.

When you set foot in this place, it stops being just about ordinary fine dining, but a whole experience. From the variety on the menu to the revolving views of Dubai. It is surely a must visit.

We went to Al Dawaar with our family with young children. It was a great experience for them and there were tonnes of food and dessert options that catered to each of their different tastes. The service was slightly lacking from the beginning. We didn't feel like we had someone that was looking out for our table. For the elevated dining experience I think it is more necessary to have someone atleast greet the table, offer drinks, etc. Noone offered or brought out any water, for example. Initially we didn't even receive any cutlery, were never asked about drinks etc. The price for the buffet was pretty reasonable for the quality and spread. Soft drinks were 27aed each which was a bit steep but more or less in line with what was expected. The dessert was the most memorable part, they had an international spread of desserts. The creme brulee was on point, the cakes were fresh, and the treats for the kids were a great touch.

Good view, nice staff. For breakfast, not including cheese options, only 2 types, the tea is already made, which I don't prefer, there should be hot water with tea options.

Food - 5 Has a wide variety of food in their buffet. Food is fresh and the presentation is very pleasant. My personal favorite is the salmon sashimi it melts in your mouth! The deserts are fantastic as well, there’s a lot to choose from.

Price - 4 It’s a bit pricey but definitely worth it. Get an Entertainer voucher to get Buy 1 get 1 offer.

Environment - 5 Very cozy and neat. The view is spectacular. I suggest booking the 6: 30pm slot to see the sunset. Just get ready to feel a little dizzy especially when sitting still because the place literally rotates.

Staff - 5 Very friendly and approachable staff. They accommodated all our requests instantly.

We went here on a weekday so it’s not that busy. Will definitely come back soon. I miss the food already.

The buffet is good, overall.

The music’s volume is very soft so you can easily converse with no need to speak loudly.

Only flaw is the vertical glass panels (curtain wall), which are reflecting the interior lights to the guests’ eyes, spoiling the otherwise spectacular view. Windows in such venues must be inclined, like air traffic control towers.

The 230 AED/person is considered a good value (although it doesn’t include drinks, which are expensive).

Located on the 25th floor of Hyatt Regency Hotel, you'll enjoy a breathtaking view of Dubai, and as your seat revolves around, you'll see different sceneries in each meal course that you take.

There's enough food selection, and there are various cuisines to try and choose from. From the salads to their nachos, entrè, and desserts - everything is served nicely and in the right portion.

Drinks, even for the house beverage, are of good quality. They offer a wide range of choices from wine, beer, and spirits.

The staff are friendly, attentive and give advice in a polite manner especially for the last order especially Tatiya.

With regards to the reservation, it's very easy from their website and they give you a call to confirm it a day before, which is very nice so that you're 100% sure that your table is booked.

Overall it was an incredible experience, and looking forward to my next visit.

I had dinner at the said restaurant and the food was amazing. I really enjoyed the sea food and the desert. Can't wait to go back

I chose to celebrate my husband’s special day here since it’s a revolving restaurant and I thought it would be an experience in itself and seeing the reviews of the food on zomato.
The staff was very courteous and guided us in the beginning. Since it was very scantily occupied, gradually the food service staff started vanishing.
By the end of the dinner, they didn’t even bother to serve us hot food. Towards the end, I requested for a fresh hot paratha, and the chef just touched all the already kept parathas and told me that they are warm enough. Even the little rice that I took in the end was cold and no one bothered to serve a hot one, even after requesting.
The food: At this price, honestly it is not worth it. It is just okay for the view and experience of sitting in a revolving restaurant; but not at all for the food.
There is no dish worth saying “wow”.
All in all, our money got wasted.

2 stars only for the chill vibes and the fact that the restaurant revolves. The only good thing about was the salad and veg starters. Anything related to meat was not that great, and the sweets was it's only saving grace. Not worth AED 229 for a dinner buffet.

Opened more than 20 yrs ago and still voted Top 5 in diff.categ.as "Sky-high dining" / "Best International buffets" etc.

Views are stunning. The most variety of delicious dishes available. Service is impeccable. Alcohol served. Prices accordingly. Views are extraordinary.

Restaurant with best panaromic view of whole Dubai. Very nice buffet spread.

Only issue is that it is bit costly, even considering 5 star status.

Loved it! Very relaxed atmosphere and beautiful views. Nice salad bar and live cooking station. Very nice staff, we also enjoyed the desserts and fruits at the end of the dinner.

The only revolving restaurant in Dubai. 229 AED per person for dinner starting from 7 to 11: 30 pm. Food variety is ok includes Arabic Indian Japanese Italian American Thai cuisine

Look, this is one of those odd places that is cool. A great old, yet up to date, hotel and restaurant. Lovely view, but some new buildings going up. The food is great, nice variety and the service is too.

For fish lovers have other selection of food and deserts sorted locally and internationallym restaurant has beautiful 360° revolving seating area for views of the Dubai city.

Very beautiful experience in this revolving restaurant. Food was very tasty, from the starters to the sweets. We has the chance to taste the typical sweet which were very delicious. The staff was taking care of the customers In a very polite and gentle manner. Highly recommended! We are really glad that Al Dhawaar was our choice tonight. Amazing food, very friendly staff and a pleasant atmosphere. I have to mention the staff in particular. They made this our best dining experience in Dubai. Thank you team Al dhawaar.
