Worst experience and exorbitant prices for food! The shawarma is very expensive (12.50) & not at all worth for money. It was wrapped in normal kuboos which was not even hot. And stuffed with a lot of pickle. It was not more than a kid made shawarma at home.manakish they charged 19 dhs it was also way over priced and a very little of meat topped compared to other similar range arabic restaurants. One thing I am pretty sure is that I will never step into this restaurant in my life. And if u bother about your food and money, never even try!
Had couple of shawarma not at all value for money, will spoil the name ot Lebanese restaurant. They charged Aed10 per piece (comparatively so expensive) for a small one.which is not at all compromising with taste. Breads were so dried and rigid. Being a huge fan of Arabic Sandwiches and dishes, this was totally disgusting experience. Hope they will improvise for a better output.
Food was fair, probably didn't know what to order (all new to me) asked the staff there, one man was helpful, but the others was really rude.the freshly baked bread was the best with hummus. The kababs and swarmers was really tough and dry.
A trip to Dubai is incomplete without visiting Al Reef! They serve fresh 24 hours a day and have great vegetarian options too! Simply love their hummus, pickled veggies, zattar and offcourse their warm and fresh Pita breads!
Born and raised in Dubai and having always had al reef chicken shawarma is recently not the same anymore. The guy wraps little chicken in a smal triangular shape bread instead of the traditional round bread that you get at all shawarma places. Their prices have increased from 4 to 7 over the years which is ok but the quality lately has drastically fallen. I kept a count of how many repeated times it has happened and now the size of shawarma is half of what it used to be. Rest items are ok and unique. But shawarma is a total fail!
I've been dining here since 1999, and every single year their quality remained at the top level. Their Cheese Maalish is the best in UAE as their ingredients are of highest quality. This restaurant is value for money and offer traditional Lebanese taste. Please do not expect professional service from their employees as their English skills are poor. In conclusion, you can never go wrong with Al Reef.
