Al Seef

Al Seef is a great development along the Dubai Creek. Pleasant just to walk through and browse (or avoid) the local artisans and gift shops. A number of local and international food outlets. Never too busy (particularly when the weather is hot obviously) and has a wonderfully eerie atmosphere when the sun goes down.

Nice and peaceful place. One side of the lake is Diera and other side is Burdubai. Boating experience here is nice. Buildings here are designed in old style. They give you feel of how the old Dubai used to be. Can't miss this place if you are around.

The hotel design draws deeply on the UAE’s rich culture and heritage.
The rooms themselves have three colour schemes inspired from the light blue sea waters in the Creek, the soothing beige from the desert sands and soft green tones from the country’s flora interspersed with colourful flashes of reds, turquoises and yellows. The interiors reflect an age of pearl diving trading and Emirati crafts, with a colour palette inspired by the UAE’s natural environment.
Inspired by traditional Middle Eastern building techniques, the walls keep the heat out during the summer season and Sadu (Middle Eastern) woven fabrics, wooden beams, lamps and rustic ceilings with fans, are complemented by rough plastered walls.
Large windows with traditional wooden panels offer views down onto the winding outdoor corridors of the ground floor souk and the waters of the creek, and the characteristic Barjeel wind towers, as do the balconies in each room.

In ancient times, traders would travel from across the deserts and seas of the Gulf, from lands faraway, bringing with them their cultural diversity, their local dishes, delicacies, spices, artefacts and stories. They would arrive on Arabian dhows (traditional wooden boats) to gather around the shores of the Creek, trade and barter and swap stories of adventure, travels and family.
As time passed, restaurants opened within the souk (bazaar), fishermen set up shop, pearl divers, grain merchants and spice traders slowly began a village of trade and commerce. Houses of traders also sprung up along the Creek and families built villas around courtyards, creating winding alleyways filled with the sights and sounds of mixing cultures.
Travelers started to visit the village of the Creek, Al Seef. They needed rest areas for the nights after long journeys, and so the welcoming Arabian hospitality prevailed and the home owners opened their doors to these travelers, inviting them into their homes to share their meals and rest their weary bodies.
Today, these homes have come together under the Al Seef Heritage Hotel Dubai, Curio Collection by Hilton, a collection of traditional, creek-side villas, to again welcome travelers from far and wide.

I was here around 2 years but I haven't seen this place at night.but I saw the miracle of beauty at there.

Beautiful heritage buildings along with handicrafts market. The best part is that it is located on the banks of creek which makes it more surreal.

This place is designed to remind the old vibe of Dubai, there are many antique shops and restaurants.

They need to add more attractions there like the night souq, some fireworks n parade that u used to happen previously there, specially during the national day celebrations.it's boring otherwise watching the same thing whenever u go there

After we watch fireworks this evening.me and my wife sat on the side far from side walks or pathways (social distancing). We bring some food that we buy on some resto in al seef.and security guard aproach us not to eat.considering we already finish our food and he said its not allow.but when i look around people walking have tea, drinks and some snacks and eating while walking.i dont understand why we are not allow to eat but some people can.what about the the food there selling in some kiosk you need to take that home to eat. ️

I love that place because of its old world charm. But post covid many of the shops and restaurants are shut.

Nice heritage reconstuction of old part near Dubai Creek. Unfotunatelly after pandemic a bit more quiet and a lot of shops and restaurants closed

Beautiful distinction, exciting mixture between the modern buildings and inherited heritage, highly recommended especially in the afternoon and evening, I do recommend this place to be visited between November to April.

Amazing atmosphere, highly recommend if you wanna check the side of old Dubai, I'd recommend to try "Abra" super cool.

Had the best time spent at Mira, the restaurant. Presentation of food is as creative as delicious it is.

Best tourist spot to hangout with friends and chill near the corniche. There's also an Abra boat ride for 2AED to and fro deira side, good indian restaurants!

It's a nice place to go to for a walk or have coffee or hangout with the family. It has a historic vibe from the facade of the building to the decorations. If you like historic scenery of Dubai, you can take lots photos here. However, probably due to the pandemic, I see fewer shops that are still open compared to when i first came to this place.

New experience in dubai! MERAAS DEVELOPMENT areas are all intresting and free places to roam around.from indian to Arab all the food joints are all there. Try it in WINTER TIME. Humidity will be more in other times. Get down at Burjman metro.these region extended from Burjman to al fahidi neighbourhood.

The place is planned as a unique concept, it gives you a feeling of 80s or 90s or even before. Every small thing is taken care to match the theme, including public washroom. Unfortunately, most of the shops under this theme are closed, only few are open, so this makes it very less vibrant. Paying a visit is worth, as it's a great area for an evening walk.

This is an old little suburb that faces the creek.it is now the departing point for boats excursions with dinner or not inside the creek. The architecture was restyled as the old times.very nice to see!

Always a pleasure to have a walk in Al Seed. Old and new blend perfectly there. One of the best places to have lunch or dinner and then have a walk along the water.

Beautiful scenic view of Old Dubai. Access to Golf and Spice Souk. Dhow cruises and Abras sailing across the creek with tourists and residents for their entertainment & daily commute.

This place has a Spirit of old Dubai héritage, it's great to walk around, have a coffee or enjoy a meal. And plenty of artisian shops if you like antiques.
You can reach by metro, taxi or your own car and there is a free underground parking.

It's a memorable experience to be here with family and friends. The location is just great. Just by the Dubai creek and by the creek there are ample of restaurants that offer a quick bite as well as wonderful dining experience.
It has multiple attractions - love dance shows for kids, stalls with toys, open deck to enjoy the view, merry go round for kids, clown performance and best of all the fire works done here.
The fire works lasts for good 7-10 minutes which fills the dark sky with starry lights. It is so mesmerizing that you can't take off your eyes from watching it. It's a treat for everyone's eyes.
It is located near Bur Juman metro station at a walk of 15-20 mins and a 5 mins drive if you have a vehicle.

Al Seef is a land mark on Dubai’s heritage & traditions combine one side, modern designs at other side. The around 2000 meters long is with two regions. There’s the modern site that has the contemporary buildings and the other side is modelled on 60s Dubai, with narrow corridors, shop, traders and buildings that have been used with an old finish rust on pillar old electrical switch, and old type toilet, are made to look as if they’ve been there since the 70 to 80 years back. The architect has succeeded in maintaining the ancient civilization of Dubai. He has tried his best to show Dubai in the 1960s.

But, keep an eye on your kids. It’s not safe at all! The barrier is not the one which can hold kids from falling in the water. No life guard as well. Really dangerous.

We really enjoyed our time here. We parked and took a water taxi here for AED 1 per person. The place is peaceful and is like stepping back into a (simpler) time period. Love this place! ️

This redesigned creek area in Burdubai is a great place to spend your evening.lots of restaurants, activities, walk ways etc. Museum of Illusion is also in the same place. The best place to be during shopping festival, it's turning out to be a happening place and must visit location for tourists. The architecture reminds of ancient Islamic culture and it's really well done I the backdrop of the Arabian sea. There are plenty of food joints and about 1.5 Kms of walkway along the Abra.

The place is really very nice as it has shown the culture of old dubai and the new dubai as well. Now people can feel the history of dubai and the present development of dubai by living it.

A lovely place to visit at the time of Dubai shopping festival. The whole area is lit in beautiful lighting, carnival type feel they give with their creativity of old dubai buildings, you can visit this place to watch fireworks at the time of shopping festival.

The new development brought a well deserving change to the Seef Corniche, thanks to Meraas. But unfortunately with this change, now people are restricted from using the walkways at the marina after 12 AM. Thats a big step backwards. I dont understand the point of restricting the access.

This place is very Beautiful place. It gets more crowded on weekends. All the buildings in the Al seef are beautiful and remind one about the oldern days architecture and very well designed.

Even all the restaurants and shops are in classic style building. Especially the mosques are Very well maintained and of oldern style.
Toilets are available and well maintained.

There's small entertainment park available in alseef, where you can play several games.

And you can enjoy the views & reflections of Abra at the seaside!

I love Al Seef. A hidden gem combining old and new Dubai, in a fairly not fancy part of town. Activites, festivals, art halls, and places like 5 Guys hamburgers to Starbucks, it will take a few hours to explore all.

Great location with almost no tourist. You can have a great view to the other side and see the plane starting and landing

Its a beautiful waterfront area which has lods of food outlets and cafes/restaurants. The ambience is great, vibes are brilliant and it takes you back to the olden times. One side of the Al seef is made heritage style, and the other one is modern style. Recommended in evening time once the lights goes on. Must visit for all visitors.

Great place for shopping, souvenirs and hanging out. A really cool authentic cultural look and feel. Definitely worth spending an evening for site seeing.

مكان جمبل على خور دبي. يتكون من قسمين القسم الاول السيف التراثي حيث المباني القديمه من محلات وكافيهات ومطاعم واسواق.
والقسم الثاني السيف المودرن او الحديث يتكون ايضا من كافيهات واسواق ومطاعم وغيرها. مكان ممتاز للتمشيه انصح فيه

Its perfect when the weather is nice. Visited in late August and it was so damp. Its a great neighborhood mimicking old Dubai days.

Best place to hangout in the evening!
Sometimes you don't need the adventure but you need the cool environment and good surroundings which you can get at this place. Don't expect any activity and do expect nature, water, lights and good environment. There are a lot of benches for the people to sit and talk with your loved ones. Its covers almost a km or may be more. If you love to walk, this is the best place for you. This place has two things as said one is environment and second very nice dining options. There are plenty of good restaurant to eat and I'm sure foodies will like it a lot. Not much shopping but the team is trying to bring in the heritage shopping experience here. For kids there are few areas for them to play and enjoy. In the morning many near by people join in for Yoga and Exercise to keep themself fit.

The architecture here is kind of old and new Dubai. Ambience of this place is like a jewel.

Al Seef is located close to the Al Fahidi Historical Neighbourhood and Al Fahidi Fort on the Dubai Creek.

Overall a must visit place for all the residents of Dubai.

It's a nice place for an evening stroll and got variation of restaurant overseen a nice scenery of the Deira shore. Free underground parking are available and valet parking is free IF card is stamped by a restaurant

A perfect venue to spend the evening. Seaside boating and the shore.a heavenly combination that make it a sight to behold. You can spend quality time with family. Tranquility and serenity surmount the place. The air is fresh and rejuvinates the soul. All in all it abounds in natural beauty.

Good place to spend your evening. You can see many boats, yachts there. You will get an old dubai feel there

Immaculate place with heritage buildings and awesome creek view. I stayed at Al Seef By Jumairah, absolute value for money. I highly recommend this for people who want to try a different level of hospitality experience

It has great potential. At the moment it is too large for the number of shops. Needs to improve guidance (map!) So people know where they are going.

Al seef is managed by Meeras.where many facilities provided.renewed and established to match modern and old city style. RTA boats ride available in the area.use Abra (small shared boats) as well for couple of dirhams to cross to other side.enjoy the ride and come back same way.

You are very close to heritage village.make a quick visit there as well.you will love it.

Everything is just perfect, a good place to walk, a lot of walking actually half is old and half is very modern, even the toilets are a piece of art the prayer places also are amazing, big respect to dubai

Bit of historic glimpse of old Dubai, and creek view. At the date of review, there's plenty of parking space -underground- free for first 3 hours

A great development in ancient looks. It reminds the old and gold days when one is walking in these streets dining and shopping.

Good olden architecture with modern amenities place facing the creek. It's got good options for eating, shopping or even taking a stroll.

Very nice place especially when weather is nice. Beautiful view. Many choices for cafes and restaurants. Kids enjoyed their too. They have some activities which are nice too.

Excellent place for people who enjoys quality of Food and tast. I would advise to visit even though the prices are not cheap.
