Not a good hospital.

What’s missing - Patient care, the most needed one rather than having a fancy building.

Issues:

1. Appointment was a t 10am, was able to meet the Dr only by 10.30am
2. Dr didn’t explain the prescription
3. Dr missed writing a medicine
4. Dr was in a hurry and concluded the appointment saying, “I have another patient waiting”
5. Had to go back to the Dr in 3rd floor from the Pharmacy in Ground floor as he missed prescribing a medicine. When the above concerns were raised to him regarding prescription, his explanation was the pharmacy should explain the medicines.

Overall, quite disappointed with the medical care provided. The basic and most essential thing is missing in this hospital. Drs need to be listening to patient’s issues, giving the confidence in the treatment and explaining the treatment.

We had to visit the ER for my son’s fever and al Zahra was the nearest. Thank you for the professional and fast attention of my child, especially Dr. Kotb Pediatric doctor ans nurse Kirsty.

Excellent orthopedics department, special thanks to Dr. Banerjee who has never been wrong when it comes to my knee and neck injuries, treating successfully all type of sport traumas relating to football with my son.

The Physiotherapy department performance is remarkable as the dry needling of Dr. Safa did wonders for my pain.

Receptions and booking very professionally done, always reminded of appointments and never made to wait on the premises.

Hospital is big and spacious with very good hygiene kept.

We had a great experience in Al Zahra hospital. My wife delivered there with Doctor Amal Aburawi. Delivery suits are very high standard, staff was very helpful and supportive. I’m extremely happy with Doctor Amal who was taking care of us during whole pregnancy. She was always available for us whenever we had any questions. As a new dad I was very well informed by Doctor about everything while attending all the appointments, I felt more confident preparing for this new role. We went through this jorney together Thanks to her we delivered our daughter safe Thank you Doctor Amal

Go if you want to bring more frustration and sickness to your life! In brief, worst medical care, rude front desk staff, pharmacy waiting time is not less than half an hour and most of medications are not available or listed.the people in this place are not motivated at all and it shows in their interaction with patients. Insurance approval processing is a disaster and their game is to always "blame the insurance". Very poor.

I haven’t been to Al Zahra Hospital yet. I will have a surgery there very soon. Today they called me about my appointment and they worn me or informed me about the 50Dhs registration
fee, because it’s my first time in this hospital.
What a bad first impression. 20 years in Dubai and have countless hospital and clinic visits; first time I’m facing something like that. I didn’t put my food in yet.

The worst customer service ever especially in the OBYN and ER departments, stuff are very rude and unprofessional they always gave the impression that they are doing you a favour if they will answer your question.whenever u escalate your complaint they will never call u back i don’t recommend this hospital to anyone

I had a fever and headache and as I treated it myself at home it wasn't getting any better. Arriving at Al Zahra Hospital the service was quick and I got attended to in a timely manner as I wasn't in the best condition. After undergoing a few tests I was told my case was worse than what I thought (Malaria), the entire treatment process was swift and their attention to my needs and care was always top priority even when the machines plugged to my body went off, only a few beeps and a nurse was there to help fix and assure me that I was ok.

It is a shame that you charge new patients 50 AED for registration! Other hospitals like Saudi German Hospital allow patients to register themselves online and for me. So, you either allow to register ourselves online, or you remove this funny fee!
I cancelled my appointment.

Unprofessional hospital from the stone age violating patients rights to proper records. Could not get a copy from their system for my father. After long wait they sent hand written report with two lines that does not tell proper description of the case. He has broken rips and the report says only chest pain. I am not sure this is a hospital or a super market. I will raise a complaint to the health authority as a licensed doctor does not write such a garbage report.

I have been patient in this hospital for more than four years I had to say that most of the doctors are very commercial I always feel that I am target not a patient, most of the time I leave the hospital with the feeling that i was a number not a patient. This is the worst feeling ever when you are sick and you feel that you are just a bag of money in the eyes of the doctor. Hospital leader ship should change their strategy and not put pressure on the doctors so they deal humanitary with her patients. During this 4 to 5 years I never had a follow up phone call from a doctor nobody follows your case unless you call them. No I’m thinking seriously to change my hospital the only reason I stayed all this years because it is close to my location.
Al zahra Hospital is my plan C.
Hopefully the owner of this hospital can read this message which I doubt.

Al Zahra Hospital Dubai is highly recommended! Dr. Humaa Darr and her nurse Patrea are amazing. I'm so glad to have them as my Doctor and nurse. From the moment I entered the doors to the office, I felt welcomed and cared.

Kudos to all the nurses and doctors who took care of me and my baby during our stay at Al Zahra. They took care of us from the day I was admitted to deliver our baby via c-section till the day that we were discharged. All the nurses that visited me during our stay are all kind and generous. Each of them have given us advices how to take care of our baby as we are first time parents. They have taken care of me and supported me also on my recovery. Dr. Nirmala also has done a good job since the day i came to her to continue my pre natal check ups till i delivered my baby. I want to also give my big thanks to the pedia ward nurses and Dr. Amr who took a good care of my baby as he was admitted because of jaundice. They have given so much care not only to my baby but also to me. Overall a great experience at Al Zahra!

Did Turbinoplasty and Septunplasty, check in was smoth but then the show started. In preparation to the surgery the nurse came and ask for my name to confirm with the Patient Wristband, she never checked and attached to my wrist, so I did check and guess! Wrong name, inform her about the mistake to what she rushed to get a second one, attached and again wrong name! So if you are going to do a surgery there be aware of those "little mistakes", then in the preoperatory room the nurse was trying to sell me compression stocking since was not included in the price! So felt like in a Souq/Bazar! After surgery food catering came with the food, knowing I'm Lacto intolerant they gave me a coffe full of milk, later during the day the Nurse forgot to give me the painkiller! Im a mother of 4. I went to Dr. Taghreed (General surgeon) for a consultancy. She listened to my concerns and suggested the best procedure that suits my requirement. We agreed to proceed with surgery and she explained the process thoroughly and answered all of my questions. On the morning of the surgery, she visited me before I went into the operating room, to make sure I didn't have any more questions. Even Post ops she was very helpful in managing my pain. I haven't come across any doctor who go to an extra length to help their patients. I highly recommend Dr. Taghreed. Also, sister Renjini was very supportive and Eased me throughout the process.

For sure litterally the best NICU of the UAE thanks to the stunning work and professionalism of doctor Soliman and Maged. They saved our new born baby and gave them the best care possible during all her stay. Also from the psychological point of view they were absolutely indispensable for us to face up to the period we were living. We will never thank them and all the NICU team with all the amazing nurses enough for all they made for our little baby and our family. In their hands, you're in the best hands.we made the best choice of our life relying on them. We were so lucky to have them as our doctor in such a difficult condition. Booked an appointment for ortho last May 2021. I experienced clicking sound in my knee. I was checked by Dr. Ehab. He proceeded by examining my knee, making the clicking sound and thats it (50aed copay).

I was advised to take an xray and blood chem and prescribed voltfast (which didnt work) while they processed for the approval of MRI.

After the voltfast, went back to him again for the processing of MRI. Again, 50aed copay (Note: he didnt even check my knee whatsoever)

Did the MRI, went back after 2 days for the result. He checked the scans and said that i have a tear miniscus and is for surgery.

What makes me frustrated is that he will refer me that to his colleague that can do surgery which means that i have to pay another 50aed since it will be a different dr. So basically i wasted my time, effort and money to that doctor which is not capable of treating me.

Went to other hospital for 2nd opinion. And voila! No need for surgery. That wonderful doctor check my knee thoroughly, did some manual, physical testing to my knee, and read the MRI result i had from Al Zahra and said that my case DOES NOT REQUIRE SURGERY.

He saw that my knee is suffering from a swell that can be treated by fastum, then he referred me for physiotherapy. Even before i did my pt sessions, the gel is already working its wonders.

The experience i had here is not very satisfactory.

I had a very good surgery with a minimal post operative swelling that made my recovery best ever. I can step over it from day one with no pain and move it with good range from day 1. I had a very bad experience with Dr called Kristtele Abboud, the gynecologist, who did laparoscopic to my daughter, but because of bad follow up care and treatment, she had got post operative pelvic infection.
I am very thankful for Dr Eftikhar Alogimi for helping my daughter and for her good care and excellent diagnoses and treatment.

I've been going to Al Zahra Hospital (Dubai) for over 5 months now for my chemotherapy and my oncologist (Dr. Dorai) and the nurses (Sheeja, Bency, Tamveer, Rani, Silpa, Lovely, et al) not only took care of me, but kept me educated with how to proceed with this adjustment in my life and that I should keep fighting so I can be better.

Aside from that, my wife and I had been to several other hospitals in Dubai and it's only here, upon our first visit, that we instantly felt like the entrance hall felt like I was already healing frok my condition.

Horrible service. I had an appointment scheduled, but yet I had to spend 2 hours waiting first for doctor 30 minutes, then 20 minutes for the paper to make analysis. Then I was waiting 30 minutes for nothing because nobody cared to tell me I don’t have to wait for anything. I didn’t even know if doctor made a prescription for me. The line for pharmacy was 40 people! I just left and never came back. I had to go to another hospital to have my medicine prescribed.

Good hospital with good services and team. A special thank to Perihana, team leader of insurance department. She's a great worker and she always care about clients' needs. She assisted us in a great way, helping us with all we needed to deal with our insurance. Very professional and human person.

I went to Emergency for COVID vaccine as walk in and I was assisted by a Mario and he directed me to 3rd floor to get it done. I dont have appointment but they accepted me to have my second dose eventhough I didn’t have my first dose with them. I noticed that Emergency is busy and still they are very accommodating and help me. They are all heroes and they deserve to be respected. Happy Nurses Day to all especially AZHD Nurses.

My nurse is great, however I always have an issue with billing Department and insurance of the hospital! They take forever it takes hours and hours to be discharged

I'm writing from inside tye hospital and I really say this: they treat patients in an amazing human way. They have talented doctors and they improved in terms of service in comparison to last year.

2016 review: After 10 years in Dubai and struggling for a hospital that cares about patients more than their insurance cards. I found this hospital is the one I trust. Their choice of doctors is very efficient. Experienced and ethical doctors. ER, Gastronomy and orthopedic departments out of my 5 times I went to AL Zahra hospital in AL Barsha I received 4 out 5 good treatment.

I have very bad experience with AlZahraa Hospital through Dr. Sameh Trabishi, he has very bad attitude and not professional at all.

My hand got twisted and I booked an appointment with him at 2: 40pm in Al Zahra Hospital on 3/1/2019 and his nurse called me to postpone the time to 4: 00 pm because he said that he will come late and afterwards his nurse postponed again to 5: 00 PM.
And suddenly she called me at 4: 30 PM asked me to come immediately to the hospital because the doctor is free and he can see me in few minutes because he is leaving at
5: 00PM!
I have reached the hospital at 4: 50pm and did registration.etc and suddenly I found him is leaving when I am waiting and asked his assistant (who is junior) to see me in front of me!
It’s unbelievable and a lot of surprises I got today from this Doctor and AlZahraa Hospital for hiring someone with this attitude!

Not recommended for birth/delivery

On the labour day, the staff said they could not find our medical record. We waited about 2-3 hours before something can actually be done. DR was not contactbale during those times. Midwives seemed lack of training, keep on telling things that are not helping with the situations. Basically it was a mess and it seems that no one knows what to do. Only after we get to talk to the midwives manager/lead that something seems to move a bit. I am grateful that my son was finally delivered safely, but not without drama! In different situations, it could lead to some serious impact

Simply because there's this rude receptionist at the main desk to the right of the main entrance who knows nothing about customer service and good manners. Visited on the 27th of december 2018 around 6pm. I say good evening as I walk in with a fever and she stares at my face while raising her brow and ushering me to talk as if she's doing me a favor or something. This wasn't the first time that shes behaved in this rowdy and illiterate manner. Were I not sick and in a hurry I would've snubbed her or the management thats trained and put her in there. Please train your staff and teach them some common courtesy and manners when dealing with patients/clients.

Visited Dr Lana Jamil General Practitioner Consultant from London who is by far way out of the league of every other doctor I visited in Dubai. She correctly diagnosed a condition I was having which 4 doctors misdiagnosed before her, and on top of that she prescribed me an amazing treatment for acne (SKINLAB Acnecure). Overall I was so pleased with the consultation it was to the highest standard, extremely polite and friendly and professional and has a very sharp diagnostic skills that doesn't miss the slightest details which is why she saved me from a condition that lasted with me for 2 years.

Worst experience as always. I had to come to see pediatric doctor because of only option where could find appointment in late evening due to emergency. 1st as always it took 50 minutes to see the doctor from my actual appointment time. 2nd doctor prescribed 1 antibiotic 6 times, 3rd from token till taking medicine it took more than an hour (even i asked doctor to print prescription and we will take from outside. He said no rush should be there as already late night. But it was not the case). Than pharmist even place approval request for antibiotics 6times without checking requirement and after approval (which anyway took 10minutes) he asked me should he cancelled rest 5? Epic. Overall experience is horrible. 1 thing which I missed, at cash counter, cashier didn't have changed and asked me to pay by card.

I have filled so many feedback forms in past. But nothing changed. I noticed almost every one there is complaining about long waiting time issue.

I stop going to see my family pediatric in this hospital only because of this issue.

The worst Emergency I had visited, I have sore in my lips and they write to me just Mebbo then became worst, then I went to another Hospital and take care of me probably, (antibiotics, painkiller injections and x-ray)

1st time I had an appointment at 11AM with a pediatric doctor for my 7 days child! I saw him after 01: 17 exactly and during that other people will knock the door and coming in and the dr was playing with his phone and answering calls. UNPROFESSIONAL AT ALL.but I was happy that my baby was in good shape so I ignored it. My 2nd appointment I came in to see another doctor at 1PM I was waiting for 50mins and I feed up from them! The nurse told me that I was in the waitlisting?
But I received a conformed appointment by SMS and I will never take a walk-in appointment because my child is only newborn. They told me it’s a mistake from them and I have to wait. I saw the supervisor who came 15 mins after we called her and she was careless and that gave me an idea about this hospital! If the management in this hospital doesn’t care why the other staff should care?
Absolutely worst hospital in Dubai I ever been.

Very good Hospital, Dr. Thamir AlKasab (Urology Oncology) and Dr. Dima Abdul Jabbar (Medical Oncology) are expert and specialist with very good.
They describe me the problem and its treatment very precisely with their expert opinion.

Al Zahra Hospital is very good for cancer treatment.

There queueing is so dump.you need to wait for 1 and half hours to get emergency.but the doctors are good.

We had a great experience in July this year when my son was admitted for a few days. Dr. Joshi and all the nurses were very accommodating and they cared for my son as if he was their own.

But today was DIFFERENT.

I brought my son today for a booster flu shot (he had the first one in another clinic) and I was told he needed to have a consultation with a pediatrician. Sounds lame, but I understand that it’s their policy.

So when we finally saw the doctor (the nurse took us to the room), he kept his eyes completely on his computer. He was staring at it for like two minutes or so and it was really awkward for me because he didn’t even say acknowledge our presence. After a few more minutes, he managed to ask my son, “How are you? ”

Again he looked at the computer and told me, “You can now take the injection from the pharmacy. ”

Then nothing. Silence.

That was the consultation we would have paid AED 400 for if we didn’t have insurance. We paid AED 81 (20% copay) to be told that the shot is in the pharmacy.

This is exactly how it felt to be treated as a number. He didn’t even bother to check when the last shot was. Do we expect fever or discomfort? I know the nurse had taken his stats and all, but really? You have to pay pay consultation fees when NO consultation happened? The nurse did all the work!

What an impersonal, unempathic pediatrician. I still felt like I paid for nothing.

Very bad experience. Went 3 times and all the doctors I have seen are very rude and harsh. They hardly check you or ask any questions and just give medication. You have to wait more then a hour after your appointment time and then when you can see the doctor they are rushing through the appointment with proper check up. Then after the appointment you have to wait forever for the billing and then pharmacy have to wait very long time. I will never go here again!

Waited 2: 30 minutes without being attended.and was not busy. If you are really not well don't go there

I tried to book an appointment with physiotherapist saying that I need it as soon as possible, I was in really bad pain. Lady who I talked to on the phone, Irene, said that they have available appointment in 14 days and that I should send documents on the email address wich she forwarded to my email. After I send nececery documents on her email address, I didn’t get any reply on that email. I sent it one more time but still no reply. I was out of Dubai in the next 7 days and I couldn’t call hospital. After I came back and call Physiotherapy again, Irene pickup the phone and she was saying that she didn’t get any email from me, that’s impossible because I send it on the email address wich she gave me. And even after that when I said that I will send documents one more time, she said that the next available appointment is in 2 weeks, wich is 3 weeks after my first call. And I highlighted that I am in very bad pain first time I called. It very irresponsible from her side to treat patients who are in pain the way I was threatened. I would never recommend to anyone to use their services again.

I always go to this hospital because the doctors and nurses are trustworthy. It's just yesterday I had horrible experience with the pharmacist. His name is Attuallah. After my doctor's consultation, I went to the pharmacy to claim my medicines. There are a lot of medications needed for my condition. Afterwards, he gave all medicines except for one that instead of 30 tablets, he gave only 15 saying that the insurance only cover 15 since my insurance expires end of this month. We asked him to call the insurance he said it is already done and he cannot do anything about it. He is very rude when talking to us, even muttering something under his breath. So i decided to call my insurance to check, he said that the pharmacist did not contact them about anything and my card is not even expiring this month, but at the end of next month. It seems your pharmacist is taking decisions by himself. And another doctor prescribed me birth control pills. He informed us it is not covered by insurance, so I asked for prescription copy. He told me it is not necessary. I said that BCPs are not given in pharmacies unless there is prescription and he told me no and i can just take it anytime from al zahra or any other pharmacies and still did not give my the prescription that i am asking for. What is most disappointing is that my rights as a patient is being neglected and this incident lost my trust that the hospital is caring and honest with their patients.

I came to the hospital almost 1.5 hours ago to see Dr Lana Jamil, family doctor only to ask for a checkup blood test. She saw 2 patients before me with very long delays for each due to a system issue. She came out to the reception area and reception told her that I was waiting and asking when I am to be seen and with an aggressive tone, she said so tell her system is down. I've heard but chose not to pass judgment on her based on the first impression. After the last patient left, I was left waiting for an extra half an hour with her not having a single patient with her and that was when I decided enough was enough and left the hospital. The nurse called and was apologetic but I made it clear it wasn't his fault nor the receptionists. In fact, he was very well mannered and polite. It was the doctor who did not have the courtesy for a new patient not any form of respect. Maybe I should add doctors etiquette and art of communication onto my list of workshops that I deliver. Very poor communication.

Horrible experience, I went there early morning by 6.30 am since my 7 year old had very bad stomach ache. We were asked to fill a big form and wait in waiting lobby! Can u imagine we go for emergency and we need to wait. When questioned is this emergency or outpatient a phillapino nurse told it is shift change so I need to wait redicules. Later taken into a room and had wait again for Doctor and right now I writing this review as I wait for doctor. It's been at least 20 mins I have been in emergency and doctor is yet to attend. Al Zahra u better rename emergency to outpatient department

Went on emergency because my 10 months old daughter had high fever, waited one and half hour and I asked couple of times at reception because In emergency the paiyient should treat fast but they asked me to wait for more time and decided to leave went to some other hospital.
