Dedicating this review for the Worst customer care by Abir alliqua from Primary Clinic. She is the worst staff that I encountered in AHD during a few months visiting this hospital.

I always have a good experience in AHD for months now, except for this girl. She is available but shes not helping us until her colleague told her to kindly help us with booking appointment.

During the booking session shes just telling us the doc is not available on the day until a few times without having initiatives to tell us when is the available date. Her job is to book and provide us with solution and suggestion for the available time. This girl has no initiatives at work. Her face, attitude and body language looks like that she is too lazy for this job.

Please train her better, all the staffs from doctors to janitor in hospital have serve us with a good heart and attitude except this girl.

Am giving 5 stars for all the staffs except this girl 1 star.

Great service all round, my only feedback is to have less calls and text messages to confirm my appointments, especially if I've already confirmed via both channels. Other than that, 1st class. Keep up the great work and thank you.

It was a great experience in the pediatric center. My daughter had to do some blood tests and the nurse Neena in the laboratory was very gentle and professional.

If this hospital wants to keep the name as the best one in dubai, then they need to work on and invest in receptionists and customer service first. Rude, unprofessional receptionists at registration desks, giving the attitude. Is it smth normal for American hospital? Apart from that, extremely long waiting time for any single step. What kind of standards this hospital is following? Unbelievable. The hospitals with much lower coverage and level are 100s times better.

Had an appointment at the American hospital today in the Diabetic clinic and the front office staff was amazing. Omar went above and beyond to make sure I did not have to wait. As my appointment was at 3: 30 and he went to bat for Me and got it so I could be seen earlier. He is great and very helpful and knowledgeable at his job. This man made my day

Nice hospital with wonderful staffs. We had been in the hospital for 10 days with my daughter. Dr. Omi is simply amazing and all the nursing staff in the pediatric department is very supportive, caring and helpful.

I have booke appt for gyne doctor in albarsha requested for insurance eligibility call centre people told some one will call for sure from Thursday im waiting no one called again i have called almost 4 times on my final call they promised surely someone will call untill no one poor service tomorrow oncw i reach there they will tell card not covered something etc and the whole day gone waste becz of bad service very poor tha one star given for call center who assisted well and they did their job well.really i will not recommand anyone for such careless never mind of customers

Ear, Nose And Throat (ENT department: Dr. Aiham Alshawwa - Excellent treatment by this doctor.surgery went very well. In aftercare bleeding, his schedule freed up to treat me while he was full. Aftercare great.healing process fantastic. In the Netherlands, the operation was checked in an academic hospital and they indicated that the operation was excellently taken care of, it was not even visible that surgery was ever performed. There couldn't be more praise. Thank you doctor for treating me so wonderfully. I am grateful to you.

I made an appointment with a doctor, he is head of department however he cancelled it due to sick leave, after rescheduling it he cancelled it again one hour before the time due to emergency leave despite i had to change my agenda and excuse from work.management should know it's about health condition and patients, they don't sell cars or electronics to cancel it twice!

Pathetic. If I could give them less than 1 star I would. This hospital used to be one of the best in Dubai now it's just a sad excuse. No one is accountable for anything, they book you to show up at one time and then you wait for over an hour for your appointment. I did a biopsy (after 2 months of trying to schedule it) and was told it takes 3 days for the result, sure enough here I am end of day 4 without a call without an email trying to call these people and everyone just keeps transferring me from department to department. On top of that the nurse on the phone was amazingly rude.

The hospital may be ok, but they have the WORST communication system. Just try to call any branch or Pharmacy.and GOOD LUCK wasting your whole day waiting.

Its very good hospital, specially in the psychiatric departments. Dr. Kareen bohazi one of the best person who u can meet, she is helpful kind and real human, she has a very good experience, i love her so much, highly recommended

My mother and I visited UAE for the Expo 2020 and New Years. In order to return to USA we needed a COVID test and results within 24 hours of our flight. American Hospital Dubai happens to be 2 blocks from our hotel. We arrived Sunday morning at opening (8 am). It was fairly busy with around 20 people waiting when the clinic opened. Both my mother and I filled out paperwork, paid and submitted specimens before 9am. Results arrived via e-mail at 5: 16 pm. Approximately 8.5 hour turn around. I highly recommend this clinic and location. Too bad we are headed home!

Terrible for PCR nowadays to the point it is dangerous! I was extremely sick and knew I was positive (my whole family was), I told that several times to several people yet after 4 hours of waiting in the tent they still refused to give me priority. Best way to contaminate absolutely everybody! And in the end more than 6 hours waiting, how is that possible? For almost an hour nothing moved due to the staff closing their counters and only one came as a replacement. I used to go when it was not crowded and it was amazing but now it is absolutely terrible, dangerous and shameless! I was fainting with fever in the middle, nobody cared.

Went here for our pcr covid test to travel back home. We arrived at the hospital around noon (12pm). We waited more than 5 hours to get a pcr test. Today is a day later and over 3 hours it will be 24 hours ago that I did the test and I still did not get the results. It’s so difficult to get in contact with them or even impossible and tomorrow early in the morning I need to fly back. Never again.
*update* I am still waiting more than 24 hours. Finally received someone on the phone and they said they will handle it urgent but this was 30 minutes ago and still did not receive nothing.called again after 1 hours and they again submitted a urgent request. After again waiting decided to go back to the hospital and they did no even conducted my sample. After 28 hours of waiting still nothing.

Amazing Doctors and very good customer service.
Rating 4 is only because of their pharmacy.
3rd visit in last 8 months and average waiting time of 30 to 40 minutes.
They need to do something about this.

Covid testing took us 5 hours. We were ready for this (checked in reviews) but anyway sitting outside for such a long time is not a nice thing. From my observation, it is better to come at the evening. Bring warm clothes, computer and be ready for couple hours wait.
The nurses who do the test are monsters. I made Covid test like 100 times, and it never was so painful.

Worst hospital only interested to take your money. I had a planned procedure and the hospital waited for me to arrive to let me know it got declined by the insurance. The hospital has also charged me for things that the insurance covered. Non competent staff and rude complaint department plus no deontology of personal data. They don’t have a data protection policy not they are aware of where your digital data is stored. Pathetic hospital and a place to avoid if you want to be treated in a humane manner with compassion

The hopsital has been upgraded since my last visit 10yrs back. But this time wasn't happy with quality service of primary care dept. The receptionist was very rude and he care less about the patients. I was there for my fallow up appointment but can you beleive i have to wait for 45mnts no explanation at all no apologies! Generally the nursing and doctors were ok. Therefore i will advise anyone looking for premium quality care unfortunately american hospital is not the right place.

I had an appointment with heart doctors past months, the hospital environment was and will always be good to me I want to thank doctors Salem and Shaarawi for treating me very well with their kind nurses, I want to thank also the receptionist fadila that i dealt with her in DMC and now in the hospital extremely professional lady. AHD needs 10 stars and not 5 ️

This used to be my favorite hospital for over a decade. It took more than 7 hours to get admission in the covid ward. The rooms had stains of blood on the floor, nurses would wake you up at 6 in the morning and you could barely rest.

I personally had to request the CEO to see what is gone wrong with the hospital. Everyday there were new nurses and new doctors. The IV machine was always making loud noises and no one would come to check. Even the checkout process was so lengthy. My insurance does not require and approvals but every delay was blamed on pharmacy and approvals.

I wish they fix the service and bring it back to the hospital that it once used to be.

Really bad experience with the cashier at the pediatric unit, she was rude and not willing to help. She did not send the pre-approval request to my insurance which caused unnecessary delay.

Absolutely terrible, we came in at 4: 50 for our 5pm appointment and it was past 5: 20 - meanwhile pushing the staff until they said the doctor started a procedure and they didn’t know how long it would take. How is this normal?

When to visit gynaecologist. Receptionist there Philipino is super rude. She was rude when she called me and rude to the customers she was serving. The nurse said previously the dr has to go for surgery, in the meanwhile we stil had to wait about. The place is dated and unfriendly. Didn't bother rebooking. Wouldn't want to visit a place like this again at all!

One of the worst experiences I've had with regards to patient care at a hospital; the nurses took better care than the doctors showed concern for my well-being. Had to keep asking for a consultation while being admitted in in-patient care and had to repeatedly ask for explanation of reports. Friday I'm told the doctors are off duty, Saturday I'm told the doctors start working late, Sunday I'm told the doctors are "busy". While being scheduled for two physiotherapy sessions, one session was missed without even informing or asking, and when I asked what happened to my second session, I'm told I should have reminded before 6 PM and that the lady must have forgotten.what kind of hospital asks the patient to remind about the treatment they should be receiving while being admitted in one of their hospital rooms, for which they have no qualms billing my insurance about! But when it comes to patient care, everyone is too busy! Seriously, I thought I was coming to one of the best and state of the art treatment facilities in Dubai, never would I come again to this hospital, especially not for life or death situation, lest I be asked to remind them of the treatment I require!

If you are going for the emergency clinic please call and make sure of Dr. Mueed Ahmad or Hesham Mohamed Abd El-Latif Mohamed Abd Alla is on duty, I gave the 5, they are very caring and Make sure you leave the clinic at your best with great feelings. I have an excellent experience with both Dr. ’s

During my recent visit with body ache, dry mouth and tingling on my feet I meet with Dr. Imad, I was not happy with him and the way he treated me. His first question was if I had the covid vaccine, when I said no he stepped away from me, and I felt so insulted. I didnt visited the hospital for any fewer or flu symptoms.
He barely checked on me and didn’t even provide any pain killer for my pain, when I asked about the dryness around my mouth he said use cream or put lipstick He request for so many blood test but he never came to visit me again.

Only when Dr. Mueed visited and provide me with the pain killer as well as he explained all the blood results. I’m so blessed that he was there to take my pain away. However the results was that my CRP level was high in my blood and I got vitamin deficiency.

Hospital is ok, but found some of the staff, in particular the security outside by the parking, shockingly rude. Would be nice if they were taught some basic manners or etiquette.

My daughter had an appointment with Dr Abed Aydin. I’m surprised that we’ve reached a point where getting a commission on unnecessary child admission and blood tests is more important than the wellbeing of an innocent baby. Quite disgraceful. To all parents who care for their children, chose your paediatrician wisely. Years of experience doesn’t necessary mean high level of ethics. Very disappointed.

Just came back from Prenatal session and it was very informative and helpful. Recommended for all those who are 4-6 weeks away from due date.
The head midwife Wendy is very knowledgeable and experienced.

I visited the primary care department and the PRs over there are ill-informed. They have huge internal communication gap and dont even check there emails. I visited the hospital to get information on my MRI and I was told that its still pending approval even though the approval was sent 2 days before. Wasted my entire day. Then next day my wife had appointment and GOP was sent more than 24hrs before and yet they didnt know that its already in there inbox.

There Was a mistake in My medical history (which affects my insurance status) produced by one of the AHD doctors due to missunderstanding and Lack of delivered medical reports to the patient, even though I requested and signed for receiving every time a copy of the medical report.
I made even and pay extra for a visit to the doctor just for the correction and even now days is not foxed and the staff is not answering to my emails.
I am really disappointed that a hospital and such a renowned one can deliver such a terrible experience.
I am not recommending anyone to use the AHD.

Best hospital I have ever been. The service and most doctors are great. The only downside is that sometimes you will need to wait for a long time for your appointment or receive your medication at the pharmacy

I had my 2 babies at AHD, in 2016 & 2019. Bothe experiences were so good in terms of taking care of me when i was in pain and calming me down, and trying their best to support natural delivery. My first doctor already left the hospital, my other is Dr. Daisy Koh she is so professional and supportive during labor. Also the Anesthesia Dr.and the midwives i can’t remember their names but they were so kind & patient. I hope it stays the same, my only dislike about the american hospital is the administration as most of the time i feel there is a lack of communication And administrative skills! They really need to work on that. Otherwise everything is good.

Less than one star for the emergency doctor, I had an ear infection, he said my ear was fill of discharge and cannot visualise any further, so he prescribed antibiotics and ear drops without referring me for ear suction, he was bored with bad communication! I booked myself with ENT next day. The ENT doctor did ear suction, which relieved my agony, stopped antibiotics and changed the ear drops. So my emergency visit was waste of time and money! I will never visit emergency room again.

The emergency room must be closed, long time Waiting no enough doctors, all in calls for speciality,

nurses are inshort, i advise everyone who in emergency to go somewhere else like city hospital or any.till any in the management hospital understand emergency, what does mean, they were supposed to to be best but they are not anymore.

The hospital used to be great 10 years ago but is steadily in decline since. On delivery of my first baby, there was no one to place the epidural and I suffered for hours. On delivery of my second baby (why I went back, I don't know!) I literally delivered the baby BY MYSELF. No one was in the room except my husband, who had to go get the nurse and doctor after the baby already arrived. Pediatrics department in total decline and the GP department charged me AED 1,500 for 2 flu shots for my nannies and baby. Imagine. They're free elsewhere!

I went to emergency room yesterday complaining of severe body pain and headache almost 8/10 and emergency doctors were good. They gave me morphine without me asking for it.after being admitted for investigations, the ward doctor (gh.) decided i can go home so i asked for pain killers for 2 DaYS to be able to carry on with my job. He said ok.at discharge i was surprised that he didnot write Anythin! I asked nurse to contact him he said no need. Then i insisted, so he agreed on brufen only!
Lastly he sent the ward supervisor to talk to me and deliver his objection toward my request and tell me that (he does NOT see any need for pain killers) with long conversation obviously made me feel that i am an addict who is trying to sneak around! If i want controlled medicines i can easily get it but i wanted to make him respect his responsibilities as well as my right! Its surprisinng that he didnot come himself to discuss with me! Specially he knows im a doctor as well!
After complaining, another nice doctor came her name was razan and totally understood my case and promised to arrange a good pain killer 2 tablets 3 times a day. (means 12 tablets)
Guess at the pharmacy i found what? 4 tablets only! Prescribed by that (doctor) who obviously have professional and ethical issues that need to be addressed in order to protect patients rights.if u r havin pain and planning to visit american hospital? U must screAm and make a chaos to make them feel ur pain and act with a bit of sense and respect!
I will make sure my poor experience does not pass in peace. God help patients who come across such a person.
ذهبت للطواريء امس اشتكي من صداع وآلام قوية في جسدي بتقدير ٨/١٠ اطباء الطواريء كانو جيدين واعطوني مورفين بدون ان اطلب ذلك. وادخلوني المستشفى لمزيد من الفحوصات. طبيب العنبر غ ثاني يوم قرر اخراجي بطلب مني وطلبت منه دواء للالم لمدة يومين لكي اتمكن من اداء وظيفتي. وافق. وقت الخروج تفاجات بانه لم يكتب لي شيئا. فطلبت من الممرضة ان تتصل به. فقال لها (لاداعي للادوية!) فأصريت. فقال ساكتب بروفين فقط. فيما بعد ارسل لي مشرفة القسم لتبلغني اعتراضه على ادوية للالم وكانت محادثة مطوله احسست خلالها بانني مدمنه احاول التحايل لاكسب ادوية! لو كنت اريد ادوية مراقبة لن يصعب ذلك علي. ولكنني اردت ان اجبره ان يحترم واجباته كطبيب ويحترم حقوقي كمريضة. اندهشت انه لم يأت ليناقشني بنفسه! خصوصا انه يعلم انني طبيبة! بعد ان اشتكيت. جاءت طبيبة لطيفة اسمها رزان وتفهمت حالتي ووعدت بان تكتب لي مسكن للالم حبتين ٣ مرات فليوم اي (١٢ حبة).
خمن ماذا وجدت في الصيدلية؟؟؟؟ ٤ حبات فقط والوصفة كتبها ذات الطبيب الذي من الواضح لديه (قضايا) اخلاقية ومهنية يجب الالتفات لها لحماية حقوق المرضى. اذا كنت تعاني من الالم وتخطط لزياره المستشفى الامريكي عليك ان تصرخ وتحدث ضجة مفتعلة لكي يقدروا ألمك ويتصرفوا بشيء من المنطق والاحترام. سوف اتاكد من ان تجربتي الفقيرة لن تمر مرور الكرام. وليكن الله في عون المرضى الذين سيمرون من خلال شخص مثل هذا.
