Nice facility but terrible school. The only reason it has good academic results is because the parents can afford to pay for tutors in almost every subject. Plus all enrichment and special activities are parent run, not offered by the school. School is not inclusive and they badger parents who have children that require even the mildest learning support until the parents withdraw their child from ASD. My daughter has been at the school for years and we withdrew her after their elementary school Dr.harrassed us to no end because she required extra support in math. She blatantly told us to find another school and my daughters teacher was constantly in development and they relied on the support staff and substitutes to teach. As such there was not much quality teaching and after paying for a year of tutors in every subject I withdrew my child. She is now so much happier and performing much better WITHOUT tutors and a confident public speaker at another school. That was our experience. I was told by friends that because we came from India that schools here are relaxed. Well there is a difference between relaxed and simply not teaching, as evidenced by the new school we moved our children to.

The construction and facilities are too notch. The athletic field and other sports areas are very nice and we'll lit.
The have a huge library and a Subway shop in one of the cafeterias.

Probably the school is okay overall by Dubai standards- definitely not international standards- and some teachers care but the vibe from admission (admissions head there are other complaints about him on other reviews) to the board that runs this school (also other complaints even one of the board gave a review about the school) is pathetic and incompetent.they value wealth not the person.total frauds and fake.high turn over with the principals for es and hs and ms.only the "best" because they say they are.we were happy to return to our homeland and leave the place behind.

Very poor management, the teachers are excellent but the management is all over the place.very negative attitude towards teachers. No wonder the few great teachers that make it to the school end up leaving, this institution abuses of them.

Best school ever I am at the moment in grade 5 my teacher KW best teacher ever also The campus is beautiful we have our own garden we love to save the earth here we have roots and shoots foundations you may think school is boring in asd but no it's so fun if you are a boy and you love nature for recess you can play football throw frisbees climb trees play AF also there is a shaded playground and a basketball arena best campus ever totally worth the fees Thank you khda btw

Terrible experience with Craig Tredenick from admissions who displayed lack of judgement & attitude which is not appropriate for someone in that type of role.

I am forever traumatized by the school tour experience - what a way to start off our family life in Dubai. One staff was kind to us, I'll give you that. We brought the entire family, waited patiently for the head staff to answer a key question, and this person was deeply engaged with another family for what seemed like forever, and completely ignored us. When we were finally given the time, a short answer followed with a look at her watch.
Perhaps this was because we were not of "neighboring countries" but considering which students become your valedictorians, you should think twice before you give preferential treatment.

I have been in Dubai for a year now and hands down the best school I’ve been to. The teachers are very understanding and they help you through anything you need. Highly recommend this school 100%

As a student in ASD for 13 years now, I have to say this school is a mess. The teachers are rude, disrespectful, impolite, inconsiderate and most importantly ungracious. Teachers treat their students with the utmost disrespect. During school hours they are abusive, disruptive and they feel very empowered to do whatever they want. For example, in my geometry class, I had done my homework and brought it in the next day to show in class. However, it was in my bag at the start of class and had forgotten to take it out and when the teacher came by to collect it was still in my bag. As I went down to get it she stopped me from getting it and said: " it no longer counts as you were not ready to present it". Really? Another example I have is during my Physical education. When the teacher calls everyone to meet in the middle he expects them to sprint as fast as physically possible to the middle and if not done we will be forced to run vigorously back and forth until he is satisfied. And my final example is of the principal of the school. In our school, there is a certain problem of children vaping in the washrooms which is another reason not to send your child to this school. So one time at the end of the day me and my friends met up in the high school cafeteria and planned to walk to gate five which is on the elementary half of the school. We had decided to use the elementary bathroom which is around 0.25 miles away from where the principals usually roam. And what had happened was that one of the principals had followed me and my friends to the elementary bathroom and walked inside. And on no regular day does the principal even visit the elementary side of the school and there he was in the bathroom with us and had followed us. He then proceeded to say " wow no way I can never catch a break from you guys. " to further prove my point he didn't even use the restroom just watched us for one minute and asked us to leave as he followed us again to gate 5. Let me get to the point. Teachers in front of parents act like angels. But when parents aren't around they act like they have all the power in the world. But what I don' think they understand is that the only reason they have food on their table or a roof over their head or clothes to wear is because of us. It's because of the students paying your salaries. For some reason, they do not understand that and treat us horrendously. To conclude please save your money and time and do not enroll your children in the American School Of Dubai there are far better options. Take my advice as I have been in this school for 13 years and unfortunately have to stay here for another 2 years. (and also teachers are incompetent at teaching their subjects. I am positive some students can teach it far better. Thank You.

This is the best school in Dubai hands down. Faculty and facilities are top notch as well as the education I received. Teachers make themselves very available to students and I always felt like they were personally invested in helping me and other students succeed.even when I wasn’t the most compliant and easy to teach/help student.
