Anantara World Islands Dubai Resort - Welcome Centre

For a 5 star resort I don’t believe you get value for money nor the experience expected.

To start, you have to pay AED 200/person for the boat transfer to the island. For 4K/night I’d expect that to be a complimentary service provided for guests. Upon arrival, there was only one receptionist for about 5 guests checking in at the same time.

In addition, a dinner for two, two beverages, and an order of fries and loukamades by the beach, it was AED 1400.

The hotel feels dated for it only being open for a little over two years now. However the room was large and spacious, with its own private heated pool. The bed was extremely comfortable. The minibar snacks were old however, we had to have one item replaced as it was stale and dated. I will say the service was great and the team was extremely attentive up until we had to depart.

We called for someone to pick up our suitcases from the room to be taken to the boat, however no one arrived. It’s difficult to take your own roller bags as the island has no paved walkways or stone laid walkways, so you’re forced to drag bags through damp sand - not easy. Once again, one person at reception for checkout, as several people are trying to leave and also check in simultaneously.

There was no coordination to board the departing boat. Scheduled for 11 am, we were told to wait at reception and someone would come get us once the boat was ready to leave. No one came/arranged for guests to board the boat in order of arrival. We walked over to the dock 5 past 11 simply to ask about departure and at that point several people were already on board when we were informed it was leaving then. One of our bags was also not on board, so we had to continuously ask it be brought on.

For the amount of money we spent, I wouldn’t return unless the above issues are addressed. It’s a shame, as with a few updates and fixes, it could really be a great resort.

Very nice with a pretty kind and helpful employee his name is * Ahmed Alhousri * dealing with him was smooth and easy, room service * Gayan * was so effective to serve us if we needed any service to the room directly. A must try resort and pretty sure will visit the place again and again

Great experience from the moment we landed on the island. A warm welcome with drum beats and great hospitality by Anastacia. A must visit place in Dubai gives you a feel of a tropical island. Very well maintained, environmentally friendly hotel and attention to the detail is commendable. There are two restaurants and a bar option with reasonable price. In the room charges, they give a credit of 200 AED redemable at the restaurants.
You have options of se view villa or beach access or villas with pool with beach access.
There are also few villa with no sea views
Staff is very friendly and responds to request immediately.
I am definitely going back there.

The hotel in general is good and the staff are kind and welling to help. The food served by room service and restaurants needs improvement, not much to do there two-night stay is enough. The main annoying thing is how to get to the hotel I think hotel management not handel it well.the boat time schedule evrey 3 hours before 12 pm and every 2 hours after, knowing that the fee of the boat transfer is paid by customer and not included in room charge, and the price of the private boat is very exaggerated, 1500 dirhams for a 15-minute trip!

Extremely poor customer service and no respect for people whatsoever. Everyone is giving you a hard time as soon as you enter reception. I actually came here by mistake to wait for someone coming from an Island which i was under the impression that it was Anantara.

Before they even got a proper understanding of what was going on or asking if I need help or directions, they began trying to kick me out as if I was trespassing or committing a crime.

Based on this experience alone, I know I will never be visiting this Island in the future.

The worst ever experience of Anantara hotel. The pools water extremely hot abd when we complaint they say its a lowest possible 32 degrees in the middle of summer in Dubai. The owner is economy on electricity, the beach cut my feet from seashells, landscaping very cheaply done. Expensive prices of the room for such disaster. My day is ruined no cold water to swim. Pool is empty cause its very hot they even charged us for the transfer to come to the island its a joke

Everything was perfect except the boat, amazing reception by dilan and we spent one of the best anniversary, thanx to him

Over priced! حتى مع الخصومات الحكومية سعر الليلة 4500, ما يسوى ابداً و في خيارات ثانية افضل
