I have been trying to get through to inquire and do rental for 4 days now. The numbers given on website just rings. A lady on day 1 answered and promised to get someone to phone me. After leaving her with all my details on what's app and continuing to phone I still have had no feedback. Pathetic. Would love to know how one stays in business with such poor quality of customer service.

Archipelago is a wonderful company with beautiful wood furniture and great service. We received our furniture on time and was very happy with the product. Thank you so much Archipelago for everything!

Lovely company to do business with. From my first enquiry to my visit to the showroom to select my furniture, to delivery to facilitating my schedule of payments, the Archipelago team was always professional and helpful. The selection of furniture and appliances is of off very good quality.

I would certainly recommend to others.

Really impressed with Archipelago Furniture. I wanted some new oak furniture and found their selection great. I opted for the Ascot range, really good quality and price - one very happy customer!

Terrible experience when it came to the end of my rental agreement- makes me regret ever doing business with these guys!

I had just moved to Dubai and was pretty low on cash so I didn’t want to spend tons to buy furniture. My estate agent recommended using a company that would furnish my apartment entirely by paying a monthly installment.

I shopped around and found better deals at another company called Parasol but ended up going with this company because, at the time, the lady who worked on my contract offered excellent customer service and was just overall very attentive to what I wanted and my budget. I was told that after 1 year of renting the furniture, I would only need to pay 2 additional months of rent to own the furniture (see photo of text I was sent to confirm this). Anyways, throughout the year, I found that some of the pieces I got were bad quality - the cushion covers kept peeling (I choose a suede fabric) and they took weeks to come and repair but never offered any discounts on the installments. The dinning room room table legs broke- they took almost a month to fix it.

The most shocking part was, at the end of the agreement, they called me to say they will be coming to take the furniture back. This is after I’ve paid over AED 20k. I asked about the rent to own situation which I was told about before I even signed the contract and they told me that I need to pay 4 additional months of rental installments. I found this appalling because (1) I was told 2 months, (2) at this time, they had items I was paying for being repaired and refused offer discounts. The sofa cushions started strinking after 5 months of use. They replaced it and shortly after, the fabric of the cushions started peeling. I had to go through over a month on each occasion with replacement cushions they sent me which were white! My sofa is blush pink and they sent me white replacements. My entire apartment looked off and I was extra fed up because this was not the first time the fabric peeled.

When I asked to speak to the lady who told me
2 months, they informed me she no longer worked there and when I contacted her on her personal
Mobile, she told me they had fired her. When I told her about the cushions, she said that the fabric I initially chose was not the fabric they did the repairs with and that’s why the one I’ve got keeps peeling.

I then insisted to speak to the owner- I must have asked over 20 times to speak to him before he finally agreed to call me. When he did, it must have been the most terrible customer service one could imagine- he actually screamed at me, raised his voice and bullied me into a position where I’d either pay an additional 4 months rent or lose all the furniture which over the year, I’d already paid more than 20k for. I chose the option which benefited me best but consider this review an honest opinion that this company totally discards customers concerns and cares only about taking your money.

In addition, my apartment is a studio- I got the bare necessities such as a bed, 2 bedside tables, sofa, 2 small rugs, 55”tv (non branded), and coffee table with chair set to each dinner. I also took a tv stand. They threw in linen and kitchen cutlery for free but looking back, I could have purchased all those things for less than 20k. I have now paid AED 27k.
