Food was good and really delicious, the chicken biryani is very authentic and would eat here again, service was great and price was reasonable for the quantity they serve.

The food is priced at a reasonable rate. The staff are very helpful most are Bengalis. However, the food is quite oily with practically oil dripping into the plate.
(On request if less oil can be used it would benefit the customers especially because many people can have dietary restrictions)

Although, the specialty of the restaurant itself is the biryani. But, in my opinion, the biryani can be made in less oily and could be more textured as for an authentic biryani dish it is very dry and can feel a little hard to digest at times. The mutton roll is amazing! It’s perfectly melting into your mouth leaving you with a long lasting taste of flavour.

Fantastic kolkata biriyani in the heart of Dubai. Absolutely authentic flavour for those who are familiar with it - with the right blend of ghee, fried onions, an accompanying potato and boiled egg. The mutton in the biriyani is tender and rice is aromatic basmati with full flavour - though this is an unique mild style biriyani and very different from the more spicy hyderabad type. Absolutely recommended for all foodies! Goes great with a masala cold drink (blend of coke with lemon and spices!)

I recommend this restaurant how many times I went here always we order mutton biryani, chicken chop, garlic nan.hope it will not change the servings.

Ur people at the reception need to be taught to speak to people. The worst ever reply received for sending less order. Horrible

To be honest first time visited this place, Kolakata food (mainly), but disappointed. Food was not good, (as expectations were very high), very oily, chicken gravy (same goes for bread panner naan, chef applied a lott of butter, we inform waiter about that but he just ignore us. They overcahrge us, they didn't show us bill, took the money and later when we ask waiter about check, it was overcharge of phirni. (Dessert) which we didn't have.not recommended (naam bade darshan chote).

This was my first time trying Kolkata style biryani. I could taste fried onions, a subtle amount of sweetness and some saffron. Overall, it was a very mild biryani, so it’s a perfect option for people who do not like a lot of spices. The rice (long grain basmati), mutton and potato were cooked perfectly.

Try out tye chicken chap and lachha paratha.the chicken Tikka and of course the biriyani.the surprise is Shahi tukda.they will blow your mind

Worst experience many times. Just visit on weekends and they run out of items and just say it's finished which is not at all accepted.

Last night my husband took me to Arsalan restaurant located in karama, unfortunately due to traffic we got late and restaurant was already closing. But Mr vakil restaurant manager welcome us with warm heart and serve the best authentic biryani in town. Really amazing food and great service.

Mutton Champ, Chicken champ, mutton shammi tikiya, chiken razela, chicken tikka. All are absolutely worth trying. Our favourite place in entire Dubai!

If celebration had a name, it would be Arsalan for me! Best food, best service, best location, best interiors, best pricing.

Getting food to eat in Dubai is like treasure. The only Authentic kolkata restaurant in Dubai. Biryani, Kebabs, Firni, Rolls

Mutton biryani with chicken chaap is a must try. Try the arsalan special kebab as well, its deliciously mouth watering.

Nice ambience, food could use some more work to keep up with Kolkata standards. Overall food was ko'ish.

Family member gave me glowing recommendations about the infamous Kolkata biryani, and they were not wrong at all.

I took 2 portions to take away, and when I sat down to eat with my wife, we were first met by the beautiful aroma.

I couldn't hold back and tucked straight in.

The meat was falling off the bone, cooked to perfection.

The rice was soft, and was not over run with oil. A common mistake a lot of restaurants make.

The potatoes were also perfectly cooked.

To top my experience off, I was also given a small pot of gajar halwa to sample.

I can not wait to return to this beautiful restaurant.

I came here for dinner with family and there service is very poor. I was calling them to take order but no one reply properly and Purposely.finaly they took order and It took 45 minutes for them to deliver food and irony is they brought the food and kept it at their platform and left it for another 10 minutes.without serving Served cold food and when I asked about the food there universal answer was kitchen is busy so kindly wait. To order it twice I kept asking them to come but they were intentionally ignoring to take the order. Abs asking each other to go and take order. Even for the bill also no one was coming to give us bill.very bad attitude and bad service. Never recomend any one. 0 star

Nothing great about the biryani at all. Aloo is not a big deal at all it can be more better in authentic Biryani's. No flavor it was so bland and chicken had no flesh at all.and service super slow.when we entered there were only 2 families in the restaurant but people who came after us got the order and not we.

I visit 2 time first time it's ok.but second for the dinner order paratha and mutton curry it's not good horrible food I can't sleep very bad.

Oh god…the place is soooo authentic…thank you for serving us the SAME FLAVORS Staying miles miles away the gentleman at the reception called Waqeel was very kind and accommodative…

The famous Calcutta Biryani and Champ House serving in Dubai. Awesome taste. Clean comfortable family restaurant in Karama. Good service, though can be crowded at times. My favourite Mutton Biryani.

Horrible service by these waiters. Pathetic customer service. And horrible attitude of the staff as if they are the owners of the restaurant and giving free food.

Have tried just their rolls and they were good.
Easy to get too.
Suggest they train their staff a bit.

3 star is for the food only.the staffs are least bothered to ask if we need anything or not.they didn't inform that the order will take more than an hour if we had known we would have ordered any starters.

Arsalan! Yummy Calcutta biryani with alooooo, a must try for  everyone who misses aloo in biryani.   Authentic Mughlai food. Chicken roll sandwich and cheese kebab is a must try with masala coke. Staff and service is a bit disappointing but the taste of the food will make you forget everything else.

The restaurant serves awesome non veg bengali styled mughlai dishes. Spacious sit down dining and hassle free service. I highly recommend!

The worst attitude staff who is over confident that they are best in the UAE. I have been thrice and had a worst experience right from serving staff until the cashier and Manager's desk.

Rude and they don't even care about anything. Food quality has reduced intensively and no use to visit such expensive restaurant to experience the worst of worst.

I usually avoid posting anything here but the staff needs to learn about the customer service

Arsalan makes a typical Calcutta biriyani. It might be a different experience. Place is not over crowded and they have fine dining. Must try their chicken roll sandwich staffs and services really disappointed. My score for their service is 1/5

I am very sorry to say but this is the second time i feel that i should never go to this restaurant again.
I am from kolkata and i am taking my frnds to this restaurant for food and telling them that this is our kolkatas one of the best restaurant but i am vry much disappointed that this arsalan is not worth it
I order the biryani today and 1st of all it was not at all hot.and aloo was not hot not even a good piece of mutton i got then.this was really disgusting and every1 pls dont bother this restaurant.they are just dont worth it.

This is my favourite mughlai restaurant. Been eating here since 2003, that time the biryani used to be only 75 rupees and the chap used to be around the same price. I used to walk to the 7 point outlet and get myself a delicious combo of mutton biryani and mutton chaap for just 150 rupees. But now though the price has increased, the quality has remained the same now the same combo will cost you less than 500 rs but you won't regret spending it. They make the biryani and chap with oil so it doesn't get dry like the other restaurant's do after an hour if you're binge watching something while eating. Bottomline is it's still one of the best restaurant to satisfy your biryani cravings. Happy eating!

I was first introduced to this restaurant brand in India and loved it.
Tried the same items here in Dubai and very glad to say they did justice to the flavours.

Basically famous for Kolkata rolls and mughlai. Kolkata food has a distinctive taste and ppl from there will love it

The best kaati rolls in Dubai. This Kolkata experience is alive and well here in Dubai. Would help if they changed the upholstery on that sorry couch though.

Best Bengali Biryani in Dubai. The Calcutta Rolls are brilliant too.worth a trek from anywhere in UAE to this gem.

Overall great food. The taste of the biriyani is authentic like its outlet in Park circus, kolkata. But the quality of some items have deteriorated since it opened couple of years ago. The chicken used, is mostly frozen for longtime, which was not the case initially. Also very fiberous, shows that its overmatured chicken meat being used. The chicken and motton, paratha rolls has lesser meat and more sauce and onion, which should not be the case in authentic mughlai rolls. It should be opposite. Its sad to see such a popular eatery, sacrificing its quality, to survive in the market.

Biryani is particularly very tasty. My request to the management for serving some healthy foods and non spicy foods also.

Food quality was good during the starting phase of restaurant. Now a days the biryani which we Bengali loves a lot is not up to the mark. Meat pieces which was served was not fresh. It seems they started serving the leftover food.

Best place to have the Kolkata style biryani in Dubai. The staff were really friendly. Good place to visit once in a while to have different food.

So if you have seen my earlier review about the great and mighty Arsalan that I had visited in Calcutta you will understand the rating. This place that boasts "bringing the flavors of calcutta" is an absolute sham. I urge the management not to get offended, as I am the one who was truly and utterly disappointed and I'm just venting it out on this platform. When I came to know the same Arsalan opened up in karama I was actually ecstatic, I even went there personally and confirmed the authenticity of the place. I convinced some of my skeptical friends who haven't had a bengali biryani. I could easily say that the "biryani" what arsalan is famous for cannot even be compared to what gets served in jails, as at least they get the salt right. I mean why you have to call it "Dum biryani" if the dum effect is not shown, there is no smokiness for the biryani. And the service. This is something the management should really look into. Everyone in the restaurant is clueless of how to serve tables, everyone is well behaved but absolutely clueless. How can biryani, something that is premade take more than 30-40 mins to get to the table that is wrong. We ordered nan and some kabab, this came in around 1 hr and we had to decline it as we shared biryani with the person who ordered it. You know we as customers have some hopes the minimum that the food should get on time to the table and as a minimum have salt in the biryani. The other poor customers I bet haven't actually tried the real arsalan of Calcutta where it is not as plush as the branch in karama but has more heart than anyplace in the whole of Calcutta.

Amazing experience. Awesome biryani.just like calcutta but I think the side dishes doesn't have the same taste. The tawa items like Chaap n tikia is sadly not the same. Ambience is average but the staff r very nice.

Fantastic place. They had couple of branches in Mumbai a few years ago and they abruptly shut, j have missed them since. So this discovery worked like magic. The mutton chaanp, reshmi tikka, chicken stew and the biryani are a must try.

Nice location.but food and services are under par.all food are with no spice.even the waiters are not advising properly.especially south indians who are fond of Hyderabad and chettinad cuisines please don't take your chance.it will be waste of money.for North indian its ok.butter chicken masala was horrible.biriyani also not that great. No Chinese available.spicy food liking people - it's not for us.

Good place. The biriyani is delicious. Has a special taste. The speciality of arsalan is that they use potatoes for biriyani and the food also feels light. Also one must try their sweet dishes and chicken tikka.
Also the staff is courteous and friendly. Liked their attitude.
