I’m not here to leave a review about their tents. But about Moritz and my guess is he’s the owner of this business.
I own a Bundutop tent, which is probably in competition with what Moritz sells. On my first night out with my Bundutop I snapped one of the 4 cords that help pull the tent up from the 4 corners.
The very next day I searched Bundutop and found the authorized dealer in the UAE, and when ai explained what happened the response I got was “Oh I’m sorry, we only distribute but we don’t repair”…
So we he. I went to the garage who had fixed the tent for the previous owner. And they said it could be the motor would have gone bust, the pins would have snapped, all this before opening the tent to see what could have gone wrong, and what could done. After opening the tent I was told only the cord needs to be replaced - which I already knew. Anyhow 2 weeks had past and I still haven’t received a call from them after sourcing the material.
In the meantime I sourced it from Amazon, which got delivered today, and after googling “Roof top tent” I called autohome tents and Moritz picked up the phone.
Said he was gonna be in a meeting till 5PM, but in between asked me to come meet him by 5.
We watched a tutorial together, did a trail and error and needed up getting it 99% right… To me that is as best as anyone has ever done.
So I asked him how much I owe him for his services, and was told “I can’t take money for something I can’t warrant”. Only because the cord I had gotten was not the correct fit.
But. Moritz… This being not his product, didn’t have to spend time helping me out. But he did. He could have charged me any amount as he already knew I’ve failed at multiple places, but he didn’t.
Even if I can’t vouch for the product (only because ai haven’t experienced it), I would definitely vouch a thousand percent for the person Moritz is…
If you don’t know the product, at least buy it from a person you could trust…

I bought last month a Columbus tent from Autohome in Dubai. The whole experience from trying out the different ones to deciding on the one to get was made much easier with the support and advice of Moritz who was always there to guide us and even came home to give me a one to one ‘first user tips’. We have now spent few nights camping and the Columbus lives well to its reputation of comfort and practicality. The set-up is now called ‘the Penthouse’:)

I bought a Autohome Columbus Variant roof top tent from Autohome Dubai and i am extremely pleased with the product, and the excellent service, which included fitting. I highly recommend Autohome Dubai. A very high quality product with very high quality service. I have also bought a hoist from them which is brilliant.

The Autohome roof top tent i bought form Moritz is one of the best adventure investments I’ve made, the roof top tent is sturdy and sits amazingly well on top of my Nissan Patrol, camping has never been more fun and especially for the kids. Highly recommended if you like to camp in style

We’ve have had an Autohome hardshell rooftop tent from Outside Tents now for two years. It has improved my leasure time tremendously. Before we had a rooftop tent, my husband and I had a small pop-up tent. It’s easy to set up, but then you need to pump up the air mattresses, put the sleeping bags in it, etc. It takes a while before your camp is ready. And then I don’t even want to discuss the times when the tent popped up again while we were trying to pop it back into its bag at the end of our camping trip….
This is all history now. Going on a camping trip is so much easier since we have the rooftop tent. It’s literally just a matter of seconds to set it up, you just need one hand! And once it’s up, the mattress is already there. Moreover, there’s still plenty of space in the car for our cooker, BBQ, firewood and cool box.
One night in the mountains we had a real heavy storm and I was very worried about how the tent would perform. A few of the regular ground-tents in our group got blown over, but ours was rock solid. Very reassuring.
As for breaking up camp, just close the lid. Admittedly, it does take a wee bit longer than setting up the tent, but it’s still a matter of minutes and can be done by one person. With no sweat, no sticky sand, not dirty hands! I know, it’s almost too good to be true.
You can imagine, we go on camping trips more often now, just because it’s become so much easier.
For summer, when it’s too hot to camp, we got a simple but smart device for taking the tent off the car and hang it on the ceiling of our garage, where we’re not losing any storage space.
All in all, we’re very happy with the Autohome rooftop tent as well as with the information, advice and service that we received from Moritz of Outside Tents.

Ask for Moritz at Autohome Dubai! He is extremely knowledgeable on roof top tents and their application in the UAE market. He is has been very supportive in helping me select the right roof rails and installing by RTT:). Happy Camping ️
