Bentoya is always a pleasure to visit, the food never disappoints! Try the grilled Hachi fish which is spectacular and for dessert the chocolate banana smoothie. Actually everything is delicious and you can’t go wrong with anything on the menu!

To be honest, after these guys I stopped going anywhere else for sushi in UAE. It’s incomparable with any other place as simply no restaurant will serve you better sashimi, avocado-salmon rolls and better ramen. Been their customer since 2016 and have no clue why this place still haven’t gotten a Michelin star.

I come back to Dubai after 10 years and still find bento-ya - such an institution - few other restaurants in Dubai can boast such an history.
Unfortunately prices went up with inflation - this is not Asia - however still reasonable compared to Dubai competition

Went on New Years eve. Total bummer. Very poor and unattentive Service. Introduced a minimum spend on entry, then rushed us to order and closed the kitchen 40 minutes later. Also wifi was promised but didnt work at all. Food was okay, apart from horrible Matcha cake

Exceptional quality of Japanese food. Ramen is delicious, Sushi and Sashimi are fresh, and Bento is amazing. All is at affordable prices.

Excellent food. The tempura prawns were to die for as was the sushi. I would definitely recommend this place

We were very hungry after a long day so we stopped by bento ya for a quick meal.the taste, service, and ambience was great! Portions are huge so we were very full afterwards.we ordered a salmon bento box, chicken rice bowl and my favourite, the ramen.

I was here for late lunch. Almost 4pm. So I opt for the mini ramen and matcha green tea with tapioca balls. Food was good, service was good, ambience was good. For the price paid, there is nothing more I can ask for.

Really good no-frills Japanese food. We have been to enough fusion restaurants here which half the time disappoint and are overpriced.
Just good homely food from grilled eel to Soba. Happily came here a few times!

We ate here during black friday! One of the absolutely most amazing and affordable restaurant offering Japanese cuisine! Go to restaurant always since it has a lot of varieties plus it’s super affordable too! We spent 300 dhs and ate a lot including dessert

We had the beef teriyaki bento, ebi tempura bento, and Dubai reverse roll. Reverse roll was good had tuna salmon and spicy mayo. The beef was really well cooked and teriyaki sauce was nice. There was like this fried fish skin thing which was amazing too. But the tempura was not great Imo. It was too liquidy and not crispy. Not enough Panko and not enough seasoning. Other than that was really good. Good service and setting. 3.5/5.

Me and myself i love to come to this place every week.the real traditional cuisine with full of genuine flavours.range from sushi to bento katsu dishes is next level.cherry on top is great service from great staff such as Ciarra.if you haven't come yet you're missing out

I’ve only been to Bento-ya twice, once dined in 4 years ago and tonight I ordered on talabat!

The food was well packed and delicious! The delivery came within the correct time frame and I’ve really enjoyed it

Anyone who has lived in Japan and wants to get that feeling of just going out to get food (rather than going out to somewhere that declares itself to have Japanese food and charges most of the cost of flying to Japan) wants to go to Bentoya.
It reminds me strongly of places I used to eat at in Kyoto and Osaka. The food is authentic, excellent and great value for money. The atmosphere is laid back and the staff are genuinely friendly and helpful.
Most of the group I went with have never been there before. All love Japanese food and all want to go back.

Excellent Food everything we tasted melted in other mouths. Ciarra is very friendly she made us feel welcomed and gave us an amazing experience. Highly recommend!

Our dedicated waiter, Marlon was very helpful and knows the menu by heart. His food suggestions were all awesome and scrumptious. He managed to serve our group of 19 people effortless and deliver the food on time. Kudos!

First time trying authentic Japanese food.

Was actually better than expected.

Although I'm interested in Japanese culture and cuisine, I've never really tried Japanese food other than a couple of times wagamama, which is arguably kind of westernised, so I figured I'd try bentoya.

While posting this I realised I forgot to try their ice-cream, so maybe I'll go again. I hope they'll have vanilla then because they didn't this time.

I had gekikara spicy ramen and grilled karubi bento.

The karubi is was kinda like beef bites so it wasn't especially fulfilling, or I just need to manage my expectations

One thing I liked is that the bento had English descriptions under all the items instead of doing it the way gazebo does - explaining Hindi words in Hindi.

They offer Esaad discounts but the dishes were more expensive than I thought they would be.

They also have a manga section, which is nice

Amazing! Came in with zero expectations and was transported. It’s a Japanese nook in a packed city. Superb food and service. I will ask this my usual spot.

This is a really cozy restaurant providing an authentic Japanese dining experience and fresh Japanese food

It wasn't bad but as a person well acquainted with japanese food, the food here is not really authentic Japanese which I guess is fair seeing as this is the UAE. Prices are reasonable (for Dubai) except for some random items which seem quite high (i.e karraage costs the same as a main). Also I was kinda miffed that the ramen noodles were egg noodles and not ramen noodles.

It was my first time to eat here. Really good food very authentic and value for money. U can feel the atmosphere of a truly Japanese hidden jewel. Congrats to the team!

Awesome food. As close to 'real' Japan as you can get in the middle east. We ordered our favourites- okonomiyaki, chicken gyoza, and takoyaki. For a moment I felt like I was back in Osaka and Hiroshima!

We always come to Bento-ya for Japanese food. Never disappointed us so far. Our kids brought their friends here too. Love the food, staffs are friendly. Will definitely come again. Keep the service and the food quality high people!

The staff are very friendly and attentive. My favorite dish is the beef teriyaki, I went back and dined in several times and it always tasted good! I just wish they'd fix their wifi because it never ever connects.

Best Japanese restaurant in Dubai in my opinion. Fairly priced and the food is always fresh. Staff is quick, polite and always ready to fulfil your order. Thank you guys for being here for 20 odd years.

This hidden gem has fresh sashimi, the best homemade tofu (yes they make it themselves), wagyu that melt in your mouth (trust me I went after dental procedures), and amazing matcha ice cream from Japan. For the price in Dubai, it's unbelievable. Plus a delightful staff, and beautiful outdoor dining area. 5 stars all-around.

I liked their Katsu curry a lot. The service is a bit slow, but I could see that the are trying their best to help

Bentoya kitchen is a place you must visit to experience authentic japanese cuisine in dubai. Being located at DIFC, this hidden gem have been serving scrumptious & authentic japanese dishes in dubai since 1997.

Their menu is wide and includes varieties of salads, sushi rolls, gyoza, ramen, rice bowls and much more. We recommend you try their crunchy tuna roll, avocado ebi tempura, ebi gyoza, spicy seafood salad, Tofu nuggets sushi, salmon teriyaki etc. I cant point out as one dish because everything was too good including their fresh and refreshing drinks.

I was blown away with the authenticity of the food and ambiance. Fresh ingredients, generous portioning and delicious food. Expect good service too. Staff is very knowledgeable and friendly.

Sushi places and Asian fusion are a dime a dozen, but authentic Japanese restaurants that actually specialize in more than just sushi are hard to come by, much less good ones. Bento-ya is no frills, real Japanese food. The sukiyaki and curry rice are my faves!

Best gyoza in all of Dubai! We've tried tons from other restaurants but nothing beats Bentoya gyoza. Love their bentos as well and their sushis are fresh. We always see Japanese patrons when we dine-in which says a lot about the authenticity of the dishes. We ALWAYS go back when we need Japanese food fix. Oh, and prices are also very affordable.

A good selection of Sushi. Service was impressive as is pretty much everywhere in Dubai. Would go there again.

The food was great especially my favorite, Salmon bento. Ambiance was nice and the servers were polite and very accommodating.

Been craving for an authentic Ramen for a few months now. This restaurant was recommended to me by my sister and finally decided to go with her for dinner. It was Thursday night, expecting the area will be crowded after work hours since the following day is weekend. We arrived at 8pm and surprisingly the parking in front is a bit empty. I just thought maybe it’s springbreak and everyone is on holidays. But found out that it gets filled around 10pm. Another surprise was the menu is half the price at that time and I have ordered ahead of time their salmon sashimi. Oohh boy, it so fresh and tastes like milk that we unconsciously ordered 3 sets. Plus big bites california maki and the main event, Moyashi Miso ramen. This place will definitely be on my “go-to” places whenever I crave for ramen and sashimi. They still have long list of food that I am looking forward to try on.

Best maki and meals I have ever had almost anywhere. Very cozy and simple place. Yet the food is so deli that whenever I want to have Japanese, it's the first place that comes to my mind instantaneously.

I have been visiting this place for many years. I love the food and the atmosphere. You get a bunch for what your paying for. Try there Shaki Taryaki

I had the spiciest ramen soup on the menu and was not disappointed. It arrived swiftly and the taste was very fresh. If you are into ramen or simple Japanese cuisine I do highly recommend giving this place a try especially if you are in the neighborhood. The quality of the food was better in the Dusit Thani thai restaurant next doors. If I could I would give this place 4,5 stars instead of 4.

I would have given Bentoya a much higher score but with all honesty they don't even deserve the 2 stars I just gave them for the food they just served me. As one of Dubai's oldest restaurants, Bentoya seems to have lost everything

Located on the backside of one of the smaller south-side buildings, between the Emirates Grand and Dusit Thani hotels, this is a Japanese eatery you don't want to miss. That is, if you love Japanese cuisine. I had the seafood soup, which came out piping hot, East Asia style. Another time I had a tempura vegetable and shrimp bento, or Japanese box lunch. It had a variety of food, especially with the mizo soup I added on the side.

Walla this restaurant is really good, very clean, tasty food if you wanna try Japanese traditional food, you must try ut here, and good price.

Food and ambience are so great! And staff are very accommodating and friendly! We did not expect a big portion of food and the taste of ramen totally differs from other japanese restaurants.

Good location, good variety of food on the menu, friendly service, there are car park spaces round and close to metro station. I always loved their bento menu, generous portion. The only thing that did not go upto my expectation was the consistency isn't very stable, sometime the food was little burnt, sometime it was perfectly cooked.

They changed their beef curry to chicken curry. Not sure why. Not so traditional anymore. Katsu Curry was my favourite dish. Not sure i will be back again.

Very good and authentic Japanese food. It is halal so you can´t find some dishes or traditional flavors however it is really good. We enjoy sushi, ramen, and other dishes. Service was very good, and the prices are reasonable.
