The best Italian restaurant in Dubai
Perfect for a romantic dinner or even business lunch.

Our second time in Bussola, we always come in as walk-in. I advise people to reserve in advance during Fridays and weekends as they tend to be full.

Went there last night as walk-in around 9: 30ish pm, and we asked the receptionist if there was a vacant table. She said it was full and that we should leave our contact number and she will update by 9: 45 pm as some guests might be leaving. 20 mins have passed and we never heard anything. I guess she forgot. The receptionist looked Latina. Completely unexpected given the impeccable service Bussola provides.
Please do not promise or guarantee a customer not until you are sure that you can do it. That was a bit disappointing.
This is the reason for the 4 star rating.

Anyhow, we were assisted with a Filipino lady and she guided us to the outdoor area. My friend noticed the smoke ashes dirt on the sofa and didn’t like it somehow. A staff named Ravi noticed and did not hesitate to offer and move us to a nicer seat. Thanks for looking after us, Ravi Chauhan. I asked him his name and looked at his name badge. Always delightful with hospitality professionals who anticipate customers’ needs!

Food was great as expected and service.
It was just unfortunate that my friend left his spare smartphone at the restaurant and we only noticed it upon arriving home.
It was retrieved after 1.5 hours, thanks to the help of the staff and the restaurant manager.
Overall, will recommend and will always come back. Indeed one of the best Italian restaurants in Dubai.

The pasta dishes are awesome. Shame they don't offer pizza. The starters could be improved though

Classy and special, just make sure what ingredients you have in the dish to avoid inconveniences

I can’t fault Bussola! Service exceptional, ambience was great and food just perfect. A must when in Dubai for sure.

Bread basket was great. Kids potato tots was fluffy. Bruschetta and the mozzarella and tomato salad were lovely. For mains we had the cannelloni, risotto ai fungi, spaghetti carbonara and from the kids menu spaghetti pomodoro.

The Tiramisu is an absolute must order!

We returned to the Bussola after staying there two years ago. The location is beautiful in one of the most beautiful settings in Dubai in our opinion. The food is good, but one of the courses we ordered (appetizer with burrata) did not live up to the menu description.
However, La Compass is an excellent restaurant that I recommend.

Lovely wait staff, the food was good and thee alcohol fantastic.

I would love to go again.

The service is the worst we experienced in Dubai. No one come to the table. They served each pizza separate on the table with a time gap. They didnt serve one order. The manager even didn't bother to approach us.

Fantastic service and good food. The location is also very pleasant surrounded by the gardens of the hotel and the high rises in the background

Went here for lunch together with my workmates at around 12 to 2pm. Here's my take:

Ambience:
Good ambience, but can get really crowded at peak hours. There's a nice outdoor seating, overseeing the pool. Cozy all in all. The area is covered by trees, plants, bushes, so you'll get to relax and just enjoy the food.

Food:
I'd say average. I ordered what's in the Business Lunch menu, so I guess I was expecting too much?

Service:
Service is average. Waiters are attentive, but they took time to serve food.

Overall: 3/5. Good for coffee, but mains can get better.

What an amazing place. One of the best pizza in Dubai, in an incredible environment, feeling the great breeze of air. I absolutely love this place. The people are so nice and kind. The food is fantastic

Absolutely amazing experience specially the guy who just won the best cocktail mixer in U. A. E, he even shared and made his award winning drink.
It feels good when you see this passion in someone who knows what he is doing!

It's a beautiful restaurant but it has no vegan options at all on it's menu and extremely limited vegetarian options. More thought needs to be given to these diners.

If you havent tried their pizzeria, you should ill let the pizza do the talking for me when you taste it.

Quiet dissapointed with the fact, you can't have pizza ordered while you are in the ground level of the restaurant. You can only order if you go to the top side of the restaurant. Ended up eating pasta which I wasn't in the mood for.

Excellent food and ambience. Staff could be a bit responsive though, then again it was a busy night.

What's not to like about bussola. Great menu, fabulous ambience especially at dinner and ideal for all. Businesses, romantic or otherwise. Pizza is some of the best in dubai and excellent cocktails too. Great customer service just as is across the whole of the westin hotel its located in. If Italian is your thing Bussola is a must visit!

Ordered gnocchi which I found bland, carpaccio had too much mayo, my first time to have carpaccio w mayo not my fav. Also place is pretentious & boring. The service is good, the design is very nice thank goodness to distract from other stuff

The pizzeria upstairs serves the best pizza in Dubai. Great views, friendly staff. I always order the messicana with only 50% of the usual cheese…. Perfect

4 stars because service was slow and condescending. For the price of the meal, I expect not to beg for service.

Great experience, friendly and welcoming staff. We went for a drink during happy hour on the terrace/lounge and it was a beautiful scenery with lovely lounge music. We then had a pizza upstairs in the pizzeria and it was delicious, they had a wide selection of nice wines too. Upstairs is a more casual vibe. Afterwards we then walked to the beach bar and had an amazing cocktail overlooking the palm. Total experience was so nice, I’d 100% recommend

Great atmosphere and excellent customer service from Raj, he was attentive and friendly, food was delicious. Highly recommended!

The atmosphere is fantastic and the food is superb. Always repeat when in Dubai. Our last waiter - Mr. Prem Tamang - was incredibly nice and efficient, top notch gentleman.

Service was not up to the usual standard. Should get better staff. Food was not as tasty as previous experience. For any reason, covid slow business or during Ramadan, it is not acceptable for a 5 star hotel

P. Raj was a sweet heart. He took. Are of us at the pool. Very proactive. Great experience overall.

The food is simply excellent. The pizza and burratta were divine. On the the pricey side.
The service was alright, nothing to brag about but improved through the evening. Not much warm hospitality or connection but okay.
The location is pretty good with view on both the marina/jbr high towers and the palm waters.

One of the best places in Marina to enjoy the perfect weather from October to May, with a fine Italian dining experience.

Great Italian food, very private. I have been going here for years now and food quality is consistent.

Very nice restaurant! We got in from our flight quite late and the attendant told us they were the best restaurant on the Westin’s property and he checked to see if they had availability. They did and the food was very nice. The service was even better! So many people helped and checked on us it was hard to tell who was our actual server. Nice ambiance, there is outdoor seating but we chose to stay inside because we have our daughter and didn’t want to expose her to the smoke. My husband started with a salad, I had vegetable soup and we shared a seafood dish!

Pizza is one of the best that you can find in Dubai and I love the Aperitivo that they’re making on Saturday

Definitely an Italian that is on point in cuisine. In my top 5 of best Italians within Dubai! Loved the caccio pepe! Did you know they have a pork license as well! Perfect for expats!

I have one comment only that portions are quite small for me. But it doesn't affect my rate cause it is fine dining resto

It has a wonderful atmosphere in the restaurant and especially on the terrace. With the real Italian feel you just want to return again and again. The warm welcome of the Restaurant Manager who recognises you on every visit makes all the difference. The Team remembers your preferences makes you feel really special and at home.where everyone knows you. The Pasta, Meats and Fish lets you dive in to the delicious heaven of taste. You got to go and try it.

I ate twice at the restaurant and both times it was beyond expectations. We ordered the black cod and it was phenomenal melted in our mouths. Dessert we had the tiramisu and I can say this is the best tiramisu I had ever eaten. Than you so much to the chef and his team.

Pizza with a view yes it's pricey but the pizza oven rotates and is enough to win you over Diavola on point, actually spicy a first in Dubai

Bussola is a fine dining Italian restaurant in the Westin Mina Seyahi. I've visited for both lunch and dinner. The food was well prepared, delicious and nicely presented. The outdoor seating has a spectacular view and it's highly recommended. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that the menu is slightly more expensive for regular visits but perfect for special occasions.
