Cactus Jacks Latino Restaurant And Bar

Visited this place in Dubai with some good ratings but found quite a few people at the restaurant. The staff was nice and sonwas the menu which was more meat oriented. We still found some options for veg and landed with just a appetizer and a main course for each of us. Great quality food and the right amount of spice and flavour. Requested less rice and more veggies in the Jambalaya and totally loved it. Nachos with spicy cheese dips was perfect but a bit too much of cheese sauce for a plate of nachos. Over all the place lights up with live music and dj from 9pm onwards so if you love some good mexican food, tequilas and music, this is the place in Dubai

The restaurant is located within the millennium airport hotel and is a Mexican-styled restaurant that is large with an outdoor terrace. I visited at a quiet time in the afternoon and it was empty and very quiet at first I thought the place was closed, there was only one worker who seemed to be the manager who was well-intentioned but not used to waiting tables. The food was acceptable le the chips and salsa were good while the fried peppers were commercial quality, the steak tacos were very good, and the salsa and rice was a satisfying dish. Prices are slightly higher than expected. I think it's worth giving it another try in the evening to test the atmosphere.

My family came here for Mother's Day. I'd made reservations and told them why. When we showed up they had decorated our table with flowers and a special Mother's day sign. The service the whole time was amazing. So warm. We are originally from California U. S, so picky about Mexican food. We weren't disappointed. Their fajitas and nachos were tasty. We will be back sure!

Cactus Jack's is our all time favourite Mexican restaurant. The food is always fresh and tastes great, coupled with exemplary service from Ram, Filo and the team. What's amazing is that they are always so warm and welcoming to all guests and make them feel so important. Thank you for always looking after us!

Fantastic restaurant with outdoor and indoor seating areas. Live band in the evening. Their chicken fajitas is a must-try. Great venue to socialise. Friendly staff. Ample parking. Do book your table in advance.

The place is very old, if you are looking for a glamorous place to eat and drink then I advise you not to go there. Expensive restaurant but food is delicious and waiters are nice but a little dirty and very old.

Good ambience, however the tortilla flat bread, was very chewy and it was like a gum. When mentioned to their waitress their chef did not seem to bothered to speak about it or fix the issue. This was my first bad experience with them.

It’s a very nice place and good ambience.food is very nice. Outstanding service of Ms. Dil Maya. She’s very nice and friendly. Looking forward to visit again.

We ate and ate till we could eat no more and still there was plenty more to finish.

Excellent quality of food and drinks. Good ambience though the music was poorly selected. Good friendly and efficient service.

A weird resto bar that has disco lights inside that apparently can't be turned off even if they're bothering customers. The food is alright, probably the only good part tbh. The drinks are nothing special. Our waitress was really strange where when she was serving food at the table, my friend's phone was in the way and she picked it up to move it. My friend then (while laughing) jokingly said "you can take my phone" or something along those lines, after which she got extremely offended and told him that she wouldn't do that and she's not that kind of person to which he let her know that it was just a joke and also apologised to her. She said it was not right of him to say that to her and she can get her own phone if she needs and doesn't need his. At this point we all let her know that it was just a joke and all apologised to her but she continued to let us know she was offended, continuously dismissed our apologising and said that it wasn't a funny joke before storming off. After this point we got a new waitress for our table and we were glad to because, even if the joke wasn't funny to her, I don't know what more we could have done than apologise to her. Bit of a drama queen and kind of ruined our night. I guess she had a bad day and decided to take it out on her customers:)

Good time to spend but expensive too, should run promotion. Badly lacking in promotion is the reason for less crowded pleasure environment.

The restaurant is nice. Food is delicious especially the nachos salsa dip. Stefanny, Filo, and the other male staff (Indian I think) are all accommodating and friendly. Happy on my visit. Will visit again in the near future.

Wonderful experiences at Cactus jacks. Staff is very nice, charming and helpful. Great variety of food, drinks and beers. My place for weekends, celebrations and even routine outings.

All time favorite Mexican restaurant. Huge portion of pork ribs is always superb! Staff all nice and friendly. Sitting outside at terrace with tasty food and a pint of beer, feeling the breeze, is just awesome.

Last year I was here had a good fajita plate. Returned 2020 ordered the same they give me pico de gallo so small it won't even fill one tortilla and It was tasteless. The chicken and beef tasted a same.

I just celebrated my birthday tonight here at cactus jacks. The food is good, the ambiance is nice and the service and staff are excellent. This is the place everyone should try.

The ambience is great. Less staff for the number of tables they have but over all a good experience.

Not to bad. Like most places in Dubai, expect to pay more than you would in the States. Food and atmosphere we're good. I'll eat her again for a taste of Mexican abroad.

I loved the place. Tex-mex, quesadillas, soups, nachos, vegetarian options too. Wines, beers variety of cocktails and shooters, tequila cocktails, they also provide huge portion of free colorful corn chips and salsa on the table. Menu prices are reasonable. Place has a huge outdoor sitting area. I saw a child chair, so I believe you can come with kids. Latino music. The staff is friendly and professional. The place is huge and usually not very crowded. I recommend if you are looking for something really decent and cozy.

The food here is great! I’d like real sour cream, but otherwise, the fajitas are amazing and huge! We could not eat it all. You are served corn chips and salsa on arrival and the service is really good. Drinks come quickly, as does the food. It’s no smoking, which is great and well located, right by the airport. We went on a ‘magic’ night, which was a little weird, as it was a very mediocre magician and he just drags people up whilst no one is really watching. We’d definitely go back for the food and service. Yummy Mexican!

I've been eating and drinking here for years. Service is top notch if you know the wait staff. Otherwise it's slow but I suspect it's because they are understaffed. Food menu has some killer dishes such as the Chata de Pollo, pork ribs etc. Menu is too large and I feel the stand out dishes is all they need. The complimentary chips and salsa are just perfect. The worst thing about their menu is the drinks. They are almost always not strong enough and neither are they interesting. Fix the drinks and fix the staffi g issues and you have a 5 star place.

We picked this place because we wanted to make the most of the lovely evening weather and enjoy some mexican food as well. We went on a Thursday night and by chance it was also the Indian festival of Holi. The hostess offered to put colour on us if we were interested!
The inside ambience was very flourescenty with Bollywood music playing, quite surprising considering they are a Mexican restaurant. We, however, had gone for the weather and sat outside. It was amazing, it is almost like a courtyard, and very peaceful, hard to think you are on the main Airport Road. The plus factor was the musicians and singers from the nieghbouring restaurant adding a plus factor.
We had gone for good old Mexican food and were not disappointed. The food is lip smackingly good and the portion generous.
On the whole the place didn't dissapoint.
Plus factor, they have valet parking, as it is very difficult to get parking in that area!

Ordered vegetarian Nachos, waited for 30 mins & got served beef nachos, the issue was not in the mistake, which happens, but the casual attitude once we pointed it out! Ordered again, didn’t get served for 45 minutes and finally got served an incomplete order. Unable to understand a very basic order in English. At a loss for words on what to write for such an experience!

I went to Cactus Jack and this is what happened:

Oct/25th/Thursday, 9pm to 1am.
At first glance its a nice overall place cozy warm ambience on the inside and has an outdoor seating aswell. The food generally has nice flavours, but you dont go for the food but for the drinks. Light music family friendly and then it kicks up at 11 as the DJ gets Lit and lights dim down.

Pros:
1- Nice place to get a drink.

2- Staff are nice and try their best.

3- You can dance staring 11 but there are quite a lot better places if thats your goal.

Cons:
1- Its rather small space for the level of music being played unless you like that kind of thing.

2- The food portions are very underwhelming and Mexican so prepare for the after effect.

3- The food took well over an hour to even start being served, possibly few kitchen staff.

4- There seems to be a limit to how many entertainers app you can redeem so ask first.

5- I got a piece of accessory in my dish that i almost swallowed.

6- Atleast 1 person you go with will trip leaving or going to the table as there seems to be a step thats barely visible.

This is one of the few places in Dubai that serve good food, drinks, and sheesha all under one roof. They have good Mexican food and drinks. Their sheesha was also good but didn't last very long. We were welcomed with some nachos and Salsa on the table. Here we ordered
A. Cactus Jacks Fiesta platter - so this one platter had everything. Jalapeños and cheese nachos, calamari Fritos, veggie quesadilla, beef Taquitos and chicken wings. Served with guacamole and sour cream. Was really good.
B. Enchilada con verde - two tortillas rolled around spinach, onions, mushrooms and coated with tomatillo sauce and cheese.
