Café Bateel - Marina Walk

My favorite cafe ever in the dubai marina ! You must try the avocado toast and the caramel coffee latte ! Hot drinks are always served with wonderful dates ! The staff is always friendly and caring and you have a wonderful view on the marina !

The service and the presentation are very good.but the food itself is average.
I tried 4 items from the menu and they were all average, with overpriced menu
I dont understand what all the hype is about.

Bateel is an always favorite, but oh my can anything be done to their service? Also, please implement fresh orange juice, not barakat. We need it so!

Incredibly overpriced with quite bad food. Perhaps better for breakfast or lunch. Menu looks good just not executed well. Would not recommend.

Delicious eggs Benedict, friendly staff and great location. Not too pricey! I highly recommend.

Everything is delicious.but INCREDIBLY LONG! Food at least 40 minutes, coffee 20… this is very bad… (

Lovely food with good drinks. Enjoyed our avocado toast along with coffee. Their bread basket along with dates butter is really good.

Delicious as always, but we had a small accident when a coffee fell all over my husband's white shirt while its being served. We know accidents happen and that is why we didnt make a scene.but were surprised when the manager didnt even remove the coffee off the check.
We should send you the drycleaners bill

Lovely breakfast options all with a little twist. Worth a visit. Great coffee, really nice poached eggs and a good view. Good location for a meal before or after a boat ride. Highly recommend this place for breakfast.

I ordered a soup and ended up a spagetti costing 3 times more, and they didnt offer to correct it although I didnt eat it al all & went straight to the garbage. So I paid a spagetti which and I didnt order or eat and that costs more than all the other items I ordered combined. Never again.

Had to wait for an outdoor table, but that gives an indication of how popular the restaurant is. Even though they were super busy they didn't rush anyone off their table. Breakfast was delicious.

Staff were respectful, friendly and super quick.
I enjoyed the coffee, it had a very strong and mature taste. They brought complimentary butter and bread. Which was really nice and good gesture. I also ordered omelette which wasn't perfect but it was okay.
Very nice view by the water. We pretty much enjoyed the cafe overall.
It kind of looked very expensive which is understandable because of their view and location.

مطعم ممتاز في موقع جميل والطلبات سريعة والخدمة ممتازة تحدثت مع مديرة المطعم بخصوص ان الخبز المحضر مع الزبدة قاسي جدا مثل البسكويت او الشابورة وان السبب قد يعود إلى التحميص مبكرا مما سبب جفافه فأستغربت ووعدت بالنظر في المشكلة

The cafe manager jessie is dull and unresponsive. I called her 3 times and she kept sending someone else. When she brought the bill she didn’t make any conversation, there was no greeting. She didnt seem interested to work or serve her customers at all.

Curiously we prefer Cafe Bateel - Marina Walk rather the other places within GCC.

I am sharing this review because of the miss handling of the table for waiting list you see that there is more than 5 empty table and the person in-charge telling you that there is waiting list there should be a hostess only calling the customer and after 5 min from walking away they called us to say table is available but we ended up going somewhere else

Deserts are really tasty here. Especially I strongly recommend date tres leches. Nice presentation and tasty. Service can't be more slow I think. It takes some time to give orders here.

Very bad customer experience, the worst between all my breakfasts in dubai.
Unprofessional employees and you have the feeling that they're doing everything to disappoint their customers.
I Don't recommend it at all.

I visited Café Bateel, Marina Walk, lunch time today. I was served by 'Mark' who was prompt, professional and polite, he was outstanding. The decor is 5 star, service excellent (today) and the food was perfect and well presented.

Overall the dining experience warranted a 5 star rating. I have visited Bateel, Marina Walk before and I rated the dining experience 4 star, that was principally because of issues regarding service. On today's experience they are back on track, service was great, keep up the good work.

Great for a breakfast, for a sit on a walk and talk.
Bakery is amazing, salads are tasty, coffee is good.
But after all it is not my favorite place to be, but for sure it is the place with a well trained staff and good quality food and service.
Recommended.

If you, like me, sometimes go to a café for breakfast to kickstart your work day, know that you may encounter this obnoxious guy at Bateel. He walked right in without waiting to be seated, though a woman with stroller had been waiting. When she mentioned this to him he refused to move. He shouted at two brown & Black people who requested him to get up. Here he is arguing with the head waiter, who finally got him off his racist rear.

Stopped going there for coffee. Quality is good, but quality of service is getting poor. Their staff is overworked. Not long ago I came there and the waitress literally ignored me, I realized that she was really busy, and I pass by there every day she’s always very busy, maybe not even a day off.

I’ve been to this branch so many times and always had a great experience.
But what happened today was so unpleasant and totally unexpected. Was sitting at the table outside having drinks. Came at 18: 30. At 20: 10 one of the staff (Amir) approached our table asking to leave because “as per the new rules it’s not allowed to sit for more than 2 hours“. I asked to show these guidelines- he brought for us a paper saying “maximum 3 hour per table”. We clearly were there for less than even 2. For what he told us that there were other people waiting and therefore we had to leave the table. He even had our bill printed and card machine in his hand.

I have always enjoyed this place but the breakfast menu remains mundane and unexciting. They need to come up with some new ideas and add some flavor if they want me back. Also my husband had their new short rib sandwich yesterday and said it was possibly one of the worse sandwiches he had ever eaten. The service has become very bad with no fault going to the servers, they are doing their best, but they have cut back so much on staff that you are constantly looking around for someone to help you.

We often visit bateel marina walk but yesterday was something amazing we had lovely dinner.best chicken fusilli pasta, and artichoke salad, genuine staff friendly service, special thanks to Amir for recommendation for food and desert it was awesome time will be back soon

My favorite Bateel location in Dubai. We usually have breakfast here, the staff is exceptionally friendly and cheerful. Reynaldo, Rhona, Seizan and Lucy almost feel like family – and this place like home. It can be difficult to secure a place outside on weekend mornings.

Great place for breakfast, you have multiple options from perfect poached or scrambled eggs to healthy açaí ball. The outside sitting is perfect, overlooking the Marina with green all around.

Awful service. The charged me extra for items included in the meal specified on the menu without notifying me. ‏Definitely will not return. I do not recommend

Facing the Marina, we cannot find any better view around here! Ordered teriyaki roasted beef ribs and it tasted just awesome! Food was terrific and the atmosphere is one of the best around. What else can we hope for?

But expensive to sit by the marina and eat a £9 piece of cake but the cake was very delicious.

It is not reasonably priced but tastewise it was beautiful.

They even have me hot water even though their machine was shutdown a while ago.

The staff was very polite.

Great food with an even better view! Went here for an evening snack and a cup of coffee, and was blown away by the whole experience.

Right beside, you get a great view of the Marina. I'd recommend sitting outside, especially now that the weather's improving.

Was also impressed with the charming and professional service. I'll probably drop by again sometime soon.

The cake was awesome and worth trying, the peach Ice tea is not recommended at all, tasteless really, but I like Bateel in general I’m regular costumer there. Worth trying and highly recommended. In marina walk

Fantastic place and very capable manager at Marina walk branch, she’s on top of everything and makes us want to come back.wish the JBR staff and manager would learn something from this branch.

Have to say that regardless of the high price of food and coffee which is the same at most places around Dubai. The coffee was excellent and I got exactly what I wanted espresso and cream on the side which is hard to get in Dubai. I had the bruschetta with avocado and cheese which was very good. There was complimentary bread and oil and a nice seat by the promenade for people watching and the staff were pleasant

Do not attempt to try Bateel Online service for shopping.they have no clue what they are doing, no order number (no order confirmation), either to sender and the receiver.and the online customer service number does not deal with that issue, only whatsapp available.if you dont mind typing and explaining the issue then it is fine (it will take 1 hour or more to solve the issue). Totally unable to accommodate the customer for the inconvenienced they had caused from the first place.

I had a take away from this outlet. Quite a descent taste. We had 2 different desserts, an asparagus soup and a freshly squeezed juice. All items were of high quality. My baby ate almost the whole soup without complains. Would order again from them. Recommended.

We live on Marina Walk and are spoilt for choice when it comes to breakfast and dining options yet we always seem to zero in on Bateel. It has something for everyone and caters for all sorts of dietary restrictions. We are particularly fond of their Eggs Benedict in the morning but pretty much all of the menu is to die for. Prices are reasonable considering the high standards of the food and the service. The managers run a tight ship but the staff seem genuinely happy to help. We have yet to find a request that George has not managed to fulfill! Highly recommended.

Very good service, very friendly staff, exceptional food, fantastic breakfasts! Love bread in Bateel.

On arrival, we were welcomed by a very smiling waiter, neat, professional. And very good manners.

We were seated by the same staff then straight away we had other staff that came to welcome us and start showing the menu.

We placed our order, explanation of menu was mentioned in details as my daughter is a vegetarian and they gave her satisfaction.

Food is really excellent, good quality product and finest cuisine.

Desserts. All proposals was really exceptional.

We had a great time there and highly recommend this place

A waiter treated me and my gf rudely by exposing us to the SUN because a white couple needed the SUN more. And all the manager could do was "technically" back him up like our skin color needed more sun. Well, since I am not the quiet type, i gave them my piece of mind. They may as well put a sign that says: WHITES ONLY! I thought we were in 2019!

This restaurant is a has been. They have good food but their service falls short. The waiters always seem too busy. Everything takes too long to come out. They don't seem to serve bread to every table. Their is something going on with their bread policy. When I ask they say yes of course it's coming and comes after the food. Waiters seem busy but I don't know why. The restaurant isn't busy enough to justify this service. Bring your patience when you come here or just don't come.
