Café Bateel , Mall of Emirates, Dubai

I have an entertainer and ordered 2 French onion soup. One is take away. After they brought the soup I realized that it doesn’t taste good, so I have asked them to change at least the take away one to a lentil soup and that’s what I opened at home. Taste awful. They lied to me and I will never ever visit any of their branches again. This was my first experience and even though they accepted and told me that second soup will be lentil they just lied to me. No where in the world lentil soup looks like this and taste like this. Awful restaurant. I go often to Cheesecake Factory and they change order if if will be not your liking.

Take the order not informing the customer this Moroccan tea. Has pot size when they serve. Serving the tea without asking the customer choice is not acceptable.
You better take your staff for best training.

During my visit to Café Bateel at Mall of the Emirates today, I ordered a tea and a vegan raspberry cake. While enjoying my cake, I couldn’t help but notice a waiter by the counter touching his nose multiple times before handling a plate to serve another customer. Later, when I requested half of my cake to be wrapped for take-away and paid the bill, I was dismayed to witness the waiter picking up my cake with unwashed hands, discreetly dropping it into the box. He hid the cake in front of him but i saw his bare hands touching the cake! This hygiene lapse was unexpected and disappointing, especially in a reputable cafe like Café Bateel.

I had to throw my cake upon my exit from the cafe, as I was speechless and disgusted.

Hope you will take actions to address this hygiene behavior issue in MoE!

My partner and I visited Cafe Bateel for breakfast over the weekend, and WOW! We had no idea what to expect, but we've learned for sure that Bateel is much more than dates! Everything was cooked at perfection, it was a real festival of flavors, and the service was 15/10! Thank you Essam for all the great recommendations and for making us feel like guests of honor:) We will definitely come again!

Disappointment, I know most complain about slow service of Cafe bateel but bringing half order and not a single apology from anyone not acceptable.

We had breakfast at albateel/Emarate mall.the have the Yummiest french toast in Dubai!

I had dinner here yesterday and within an hour of leaving the restaurant, I started to feel nauseous and unwell. It wasn’t long before a 5+ hour experience of nonstop vomiting ensued, and when I saw the doctor, they confirmed I had food poisoning (and also cost me 4,000 AED to treat). I had the Moroccan Meatballs and Moroccan Mint Tea. This was the only food I ate this day, so I am certain it came from this restaurant and nowhere else. I would not recommend this restaurant nor eat here again in the future.

If they give Michelin stars to restaurant chains then Bateel’s new menu and approach to casual dinning deserves an award on its own. Been really loving the food and service off of late. Well done

We ordered braised short ribs for 155 aed.it was disappointing and not worth the price.they give free bread.caffe latte 22 aed comes with free date.if you love dates come to this place because most of their menu items have dates on it.we had sticky toffee pudding and date cake costed us 62 aed and 44 aed each.will recommend the place for regular breakfasts and coffee but not for special occasions.the service is excellent though.

I ate here a few days ago with my mom after a show at The Theatre and we loved it! I had the mushroom carbonara which is a must if you are a mushroom fan! My mom had the salmon quinoa and we split an avocado caesar salad. I also had a passion fruit mojito mocktail. Everything was wonderful! Staff is friendly and helpful. Service was fast.

Good Cafe. Good service, friendly staff. Good ambience. Good quality of food and drinks. Healthy organic oriented products. Vegetarian items available. Tasty meals. Very good salads, good salad dressings. Very good bread selection. Good dessert variety. Good variety of hot and cold drinks.

We enjoy coming here to enjoy the kind service and the good coffee (with chilled date or small date pastry on the side) which always gets served with a warm smile from Lutz & Marie & Samuel. The manager Mohammed Ali never fails to greet us like family.

The hot chocolate is good. But their Sticky Toffee Pudding is really delicious! It comes with extra sauce too if you really like it super sweet. Perfect amount too if you only want to go there for dessert.

Date pudding, the waiter asked me which one bcoz the round one is less sugar, I said ok for it
And the 2nd one, French toast

The date pudding, was tooooooo much sugary I couldn't tolerate and this one is the less in sugar, I don't know how the other one will be!

The service was so slow and the thing that I didn't like, they served the coffee before the dessert by like 15 min which became too cold.

I had a breakfast over here, cappuccino was good and food was okay as well. Portions are not that generous so I believe if you are hungry you need to order more for yourself.

Cafe bateel excellent shop for? Chocolates, fresh cakes on luxury dining side. Most quality chocolate varieties are available here

Bateel is always a perfect choice, it never disappoints, halloumi avocado toast is my favorite for breakfast, the quality and taste of food is absolutely amazing!

Today I visited the cafe at mall of the emirates.the service was very bad.we asked them to write congratulations on our dessert order with a name but they refused they only wrote congratulations.we asked them to sing at the beginning they agreed then once the order arrived they said that they are busy and cannot.we also ordered 2 scope of icecream but they braught them in latte cups and one of the scope was melted so we completely changed this order. Finally, they braught the chocolate fondant and they braught it without icecream and we have to ask for it. Last one important point, the staff are unfriendly

Tried Cafe Bateel recently. The staff are friendly and plesant. They have a nice elaborate menu with an array of nice interesting dishes and drinks.

Tried their Date Affogato which is a coffee that has a shot of espresso poured over dates icecream. For most, the combination might sound ridiculous but believe me, it was brilliant. The trick is to let it sit for few minutes and swirl it a bit before consuming. Definitely will recommend it for people who want to try something off the regular.

Their Tuna piadina sandwich was also good. The bread was fresh and tuna also tasted well seasoned. Apart from that the cold Spanish latte was nice as expected.

Love this place for the amazing Turkish coffee they do, also if you are there you have to try the date pecan dessert they have it’s just amazing

The best cafe In MOE, love all the food and every time I try something new it’s delicious. It looks like a very basic restaurant but the food is far from it

They don't do reservations over the phone. We need to go to the restaurant to reserve or be on a waiting list

My favourite cafe in Dubai not only for the best Arabic coffee and desert but also for the quality food they serve starting from soups and salads to the pasta and everything on the menu.

The tomato soup and lobster pasta are my too choice every time I go.

The only thing that went down is the quality of dates they serve with the coffee. Really bad these days. I hope they change it soon.

Cafe bateel is hands down one of my favourite cafés in Dubai but maybe not this branch. The staff was quite nice but it was a very busy branch. I'm kinda used to the special attention I get in the other branches like Nakheel mall or jumeirah. I guess if you like a busy environment, you'd like this place too. Also, they don't sell waffles here. So. ‍️

It is a nice cafe, very well designed, cozy and spacious. Their deserts were good as well as their croissants. Definitely recommended.

Great food, lovely service. We were served by the highly professional waitress called Immaculate who made our experience very lovely.

Nice place with good ambience. Less sitting options available due covid rules. So one mint have to wait in order to get a table.

The olive oil and vinegar they serve is very delicious, I would recommend to try them.

Nice location, not far from bus or taxi stand. The sencha ariake was an okay green tea recommendation.
