Your all foods are very tasty, but some items are very expensive like egg omlate, single portion Curry's, and one more thing morning egg roast is very bad making and taste, I think management should re check price list and make sure its worthable for customers, i only like staff's behavior.

We had khantari fish fillet for starters. It was creamy and a great experience.

Worst food ever and over priced. I don’t no why they are charging this much for a horrible meal. Fish curry was smelling very badly. @owners please try some food from karama you will get to know the quality Another issue is that there is no private space for family and kids to sit and enjoy the meal. They have turned the whole set up into a dormitory feel.

Had seabream fish tawa fry which was of a medium size and the price charged was extremely unreasonable. Restaurant owners seem to be in rush of making some quick bucks and not realising customers once visited should visit again. Misuse of name and fame. Price can be made a bit more competitive with the quality of food which is served.

Very nice environment and fantastic food. A bit expensive than usual but the quality and the quantity of the food make it worth. Best place to have a get together with family and friends. Totally recommend it.

A restaurant that has dishses that reminds of Home. Had the egg roast and the Alleppey veg Curry. Yumm. Signed off with Nei Payasam with Icecream?

The non-veg meals taste very authentic and delicious. But there is a lot of rush even at 3: 30 there were people still waiting for seats

First of all great service and friendly staff and yeasty South Indian dishes too. Update on 2021 December: Now they don't accept Zomato Pro, which is disappointing.

Please order at your own risk. Ordered an allepey fish curry on 24-12-2021. The curry was spoilt, tried a spoonful of curry and our Christmas has now got spoilt. Order at your own risk.

Foods good but as a non kerela person I would have been happy had the person taking order said how big portion sizes were so we didn't have to stuff food till our throats cus we don't like wasting. U don't expect paneer butter masala to be so good at a South Indian restaurant. Hamour was good but small. Too small.

Great good. We went here as this was the closest kerala restaurant to where we were staying. Get in and take a table, they have a separate area for family seating. The staff were great though they were busy. The restaurant had lots of customers which is always a good sign. We had some fish fry, fish mango curry, chicken biryani and cannot fault anything. The food was if high quality.

Bad quality of food. Server or order taker not aware of menu or preparation of food. We order and got something not even close to the food we expected or the order taker told while taking our order. The level of service is going very low

Lured by the advertisement from Calicut Notebook for sumptuous onam sadhiya lunch on 21st August, we went to relish the same. There were very long queues and we have waited for more than 100 minutes before starting our lunch at 2.45pm. Merely 15 items were provided against 25 numbers as per the advertisement. I think the restaurant authority was never anticipated about the outcome on that day

Onam sadhya was good to taste.but staff wasnt attentive and they lacked service. 2nd servings weren't offered. Buttermilk and payasaam was served like Shots. The amount paid for the sadhya atleast calls for good service with generosity.

Yesterday we got the parcel from here. And the Beef curry was below than the average with a lots salt! And there was no flavor of beef in the gravy as it’s someone mixed the cooked beef in to a prepared thick gravy!

The beef curry gravy look rich like kuruma but not even felt the taste of fresh coconut (not even have a good flavor).

Even other small local shops serve far better beef curry than this.

The beef fry was ok but the gravy coming along with that was spoiled and smelly (expired oil smell). If u don’t have then don’t serve the gravy better than spoiled one

Tried many times in al qusais branch and can’t even compare the Calicut note book food quality with this branch‍️

We had a yummy time at Calicut notebook restaurant, Lulu branch in barsha.the staff is so kind and gentle. Service is excellent. We ordered mushroom Malabar and Paneer mango curry with Tandoori Roti.paneer mango curry was our favourite while mushroom dish was fine. They have many options in the menu, will be trying some more! As of now, if you are tired with shopping at Lulu, And are craving for a rich Keralite flavour in the tastebuds, then This place it is!

Food is good and tasty. Service is good. Have been dining there fore several years when I come to Lulu Barsha for shopping

Had booked onam sadhay two days back for Thiruvonam on 21st Aug. (For today). Well packed box. Opened it and it was disapppointing. The banana leaf dried. Broken multi colored with more of dark brown, brownish yellow wiith pacches of light green. It was a huge disappointment. Opened all the pack. Parippu missing.which is one of the main ingredients for a sadhya. Thank you Calicut note book for screwing up the year 2021 Onasadhya. Know you guys dont care since you all would be laughing all the wayto the Bank with the profits you made with the exorbitantly priced socalled sadhya ypu dishd out.

One word. Delightful.if you need good Malabari Flavour.this is the place you should be in
The curries especially chicken curry (coconut milk based) with Appam was one of the finest that i had in the recent years. Pomphret dry fry was another experiment.succulent.juicy and tender and the taste is still fresh in the mouth. Humur tawa fry was spicy yet quite yum.
In the end they serve some real good tea and it's a must as well
Loved the dining and it surely is in our regular list.

I ate out in different place but, I came back to Calicut because the food was delicious fresh and inspired. The staff were very polite and the restaurant was clean and tidy both during my lunch visit and my evening return.

I'd suggest trying the chicken screwdriver for kids.

Recommended to visit this place as they serve very tasty food. Try their Kanthari fish and Kanthari Chicken at least once

Staff and the service are good.while coming to the food.the biriyani I had from there is not that much taste.it's an average one.the rest of the item I had was good and tasty.

Average taste, Expensive. Chicken smelled as if was frozen for long time. Hamoor fish in Mango Curry had only bones (other restaurants serve boneless and had expected the same here, but.). Staff was good and place was hygienic.

Comparing with last time they have improved and cam bavk to there peak performance, I would say

Average food only and taste is not worth for the price. But the ambience, service and hygienic is superb.

Destination for good choice of South Indian food. Rich Kerala style food, homely preparations. I loved their choice of fish curries, fries. Nice restaurant whether it's with family or friends. Staffs are very much attentive and serves good.

Visiting there as there is no nearby Kerala restaurant when you are shopping from Lulu Barsha. Food is below average compared to the traditional taste of Kerala. There is a lot of room to improve.

Food is average only. Price reasonable. Special items available at high prices but below average quality. Inside is a bit congested. Wide area parking available. Inside lulu shopping mall.

Tasty and hygienic Indian food at affordable prices. The weekday lunch thali is nutritious and very economical. I am visiting regularly for lunch

Love this place for their delicious South Indian food. Went there dozens of times and never been disappointed. Ambiance is quite shabby and restaurant interior needs a renovation, but food is always five stars

Such a great restaurant for worst food.
We order mutton soup & get a delicious non-veg resam,
next comes starter to inform don’t go for main course, at last main course with a magic recipe which speaks to us “ thank you, don't visit again “

NB: - low quality food with high price

Calicut notebook was our evertime favourite restaurant. But this time they spoiled our 2020 vishu. We have ordered vishu sadya and they made us to wait till 4pm to reply us saying their vehicle got punctured. They didn't deliver the sadya and no one was answering their Land-line till 4pm.
If some delay is there it is their responsibility to inform customers or atleast they should answer the phone. At last we cooked Maagi noodles and had: (

Good service but too costly and unappealing to taste. I just came out of the restaurant hence this review.
When i asked if there is kerala meals for lunch they said yes.so i ordered one.when they served the food, it was noticed that the rice was too sticky.when asked, they politely replied this is the only cooked meal available right now.i couldn't eat much of it cus of the same.later i was a bit surprised to know the meal rate was 19.75 dhs.when i was exiting the restaurant i was able to see people on different tables that ordered meals and was finding it difficult to eat. I was thinking why these restaurant staffs can't say the meal is not available or will get late to serve rather than serving this cheap dish that too without any compromise on the high price

Best suited for South Indian food lovers. You will fall in love with the flavors here with the variety of dishes. I love Elayeil fish tawa and their special salad with spicy nuts.

I had chicken dum biriyani and it was good and tasty. The chutney provided with the biriyani was amazing and the quantity of biriyani is more. Masala of the biriyani was very tasty. My companions ordered Kerala rice meals. They have provided the curries in small cups with less quantity. And everytime they have to call the staff to refill the same and sometimes the staff doesn't like that from their expressions. My colleagues told the taste was not so good. Only average. When we entered here, we had waited for a long time to get our things ordered and after ordering also it took more time to get all the items. The same restaurant's branch in Al Qusais is very good comparing to this.

A place with homely food that is not only reasonable but also tasty. Our Friday lunch is 99 percent of the times at Calicut Notebook and will continue to be so. The staff is also extremely courteous and friendly.

Together with my Indian friend and colleague we went having dinner is this restaurant. He promised me it would be great. I really like to taste new foods, and Indian is also one of my favorite. It is located in a mall and we went upstairs. Nice big restaurant. Service was good and my friend ordered the food in Indian so i could not understand ;) The staff was afraid i could not handle the spice, but my friend assured them is was okay. We had some delicious food. Cauliflower, chicken prawns.really nice flavor. My friend said they still cut some in the spiciness but that was okay. Price including the drink for 2 persons was about 125 Dhs so very reasonable.

I was Visiting from the US and have heard about this authentic kerala restaurant in the Al Barsha area of Dubai. Was very impressed. Meals with various curries and sides. There are way too many options in terms of meat, sea food etc. The staff is very friendly and is constantly asking for seconds or thirds. Its also attached to a Lulu mall which is very convenient.

One of the busiest restaurants in the area. This restaurant is quiet busy always because of their good quality of food with a good combination of the staffs. I am coming to this restaurant for the 2nd time and I must say that I am very much satisfied by their food and their staffs interactions. I highly do recommended them.
Interesting fact I have seen is that 3 Filipinos were there when I went to have lunch and they were trying the kerala rice lunch with non veg.

Kerala style cuisine. Their Fish Kandhari is yummy. Food is priced reasonably and staff is very good with prompt service.

Price is very very high, Tasty food but we are not happy with this abnormal price. 40 AED for fish curry
