Their mutton green curry is definitely is a must try! Goes well with Sannas ! Chicken crispy is a great starter. Also love the dry fish chutney.

Was craving authentic Manglorean food.
When we arrived, it was full. We were told to wait for 10 minutes, which we did. Then, a family of 4 that came after us were given a seat as we still waited outside. Anyway, we were then called in, and with no direction as to where we were to sit, we stood inside the restaurant while the man at the reception continued his chat with two ladies.
Then we were told to sit at a table near the window (video attached). In about 20 seconds, water dripped from the ceiling. So we were moved!

The food was average. Not a restaurant, I would go back to.

On the whole. The customer is King and should be treated at least like a Prince!

Try chicken tandoori. It's really juicy/tasty. Other food, especially fish items, are nice.
Staff are well behave and they hav outdoor sitting facility.
They open after 6 pm, so before coming, make a ring

But, every time I am here I am pleased with the food and services and so are my friends. For good Mangalorean food, this is the place. Over the years the quality has been consistently good. Looking for authentic Mangalorean food then this is the place. Their fish thali and neer dosa was super. Even North Indian dishes were too good. Overall loved dining here.

A must visit if you want to sample a fare of Mangalore/Kannada cuisine. Interiors have improved a lot. Service is excellent with some staff working since past 8yrs. I'm not a chicken fan but their chicken curry is wow! It's a family run business so there is attention to detail and quality. I'm a happy customer!

Lovely place! Has loads of options. We tried the thali, prawns rava fry, kokum sarbat, solkadk etc. Loved it.

This is my go to place for biryani, I love there fish biryani. They have amazing spread, there delivery time is very fast, I love the fact that they maintain consistency in the quality, quantity and taste. I rate this place 5/5 for the food, service and price. Try the biryani, you won't regret, nice masala and yummy, chicken biryani has a quantity which serves 2 people easily

Very packed and there is no space. Staff do not speak english and they basically bring any dish they want. The food itself is very tasty.

The food was very tasty, and the quantity and quality were excellent. A small and very neat ambience.

Neer Dosa - 1.75 AED (4 piece) Very soft and it's my favourite.

Prawn Mango Curry - 30 AED This curry was very delicious with prawn and mango.

King Fish Tava Fry - 20 AED Crispy and flavorful,

Chicken Biryani - 20 AED It tasted good and was enough for 2 people.

Squid Chilly - 23 AED we liked this very much. A perfect starter.

If you are looking for a budget-friendly place, then you should all try this restaurant.

If you're looking for some authentic Manglorean fare, then this is it. Theyve got the spread. It can get really busy on weekend afternoons so be prepared for a wait. In the heat yeah. A few tables kept outside with a couple of fans. Its not a verg large place with a capacity fro about 25 or 30. But if you can brave the heat, the reward is more than worth the wait. The thali dishes seem to be a hit, but any dish on the menu would be a good bet.

Great for seafood but it lacks consistency. There have been good days and bad days. This is a good family run place that needs to pull up their socks.

Pocket friendly Mangalorean food in Dubai. Had the fish thali, ghee roast and kori (chicken) roti. For those of you trying Mangalorean food for the first time you must try kori roti (chicken gray with rice wafers) and ghee roast. The fish curry in the thali reminded me of home and not to forget the dry prawn chutney. YUM! Leaving the table was a little difficult after a full belly as the dining space in congested. And they definitely need to do something to cover up the wash basin facing the tables

Tasty food from South Canara (Which is now devided into Udupi and Dakshina Kannada), a coastal district in the southern state of Karnataka.

This quaint little restaurant nestled in a quiet corner near Bur Juman serves some of the most simple yet authentic mangalorean cuisine. Their neer dosas and prawn curry are my favourite and the bombil fry (seasonal) is to die for. A must visit if you crave a little taste of home.

Delicious Mangalorean food. While from the outside the place and interior look small, it compensates in food quality, taste and service. Their seafood menu is a hit with most of my family members - kaane fry, lepo/ taarle curry etc while I relish my tastebuds of my favourite chicken ghee roast and neer dosa. Overall - loved it!

My favourite place for Manglorean style food! The prawn bhindi curry is to die for! I thought it was a wierd combination but it was beyond expectations! The neer dosas are quite nice too. Friendly staff. Simple but neat decor! Keep up the good work guys!

Authentic Mangalorian food. Its been here for quiet long years but the taste of food remains the same and reminds us of our mom cooking. Have to try their chicken gravy with either Kori roti or neer dosa. Squid chilly, fish chilly, prawn fry, clamps sukka, all fish Fry's. Only con is you don't get parking easily even if it's RTA Paid parking, you have to search a bit.

Last we visited canara restaurants for dinner. For pomplet fish salt was too much and prok was not tasty.

This place in al karama offers the best and truest possible dish of Mangalore. We were a large group and ordered over 7 to 8 dish and they all were just amazing and authentic, I believe they import the masala from mangalore and the entire staff is from mangalore. One of the finest places to dine outside India. Extremely lucky to end up there, great food and it reminds of a true mangi restaurant of the 80s and 90s the feel is nostalgic very basic and nice.

One of the best and authentic Manglorean resturant that you can go when you are in Dubai. They have the best staff who even greets and speaks in Konkani as well. You feel very homely.

Canara restaurant looks like a hole in the wall, but it is the place to go for some authentic Mangalorean cuisine.
It is a quaint little restaurant with very efficient and helpful staff.
The food is absolutely delicious with all the seafood favourites like the Bombay duck fry (yes it is a fish, not a duck!)
Their reputation precede them because if you are going to lunch on a Friday, you'd better book in advance!
One down side if you're eating out on the terrace and ordering fish, be ready to fight off a few flies!
Other than that, it is great value for money if you want to feast on a budget.

Place is good, nice ambience. But I feel the change of management cannot retain the Goan/Mangalorean tag for which the hotel was once famous for.

It's a ok restaurant, would give it 3 stars but gave 4 because I'm from karnataka, mostly mangalorian items are on the menu, even their indo Chinese items are good, very nice outside seating, and a service of a hometown

By far one of the best Mangalorean cuisine restaurant. I love mangalorean food and never in my wildest dream did i expect this good a restaurant in Dubai. Located at the heart of Karama, the restaurant offers a wide range of mangalorean food, they are famous for their Kori Roti or Kori Pundi. We tried the chicken ghee roast however i personal favorite was mutton ghee roast with neer dosa. They also have sanna and you can dip it in nice chicken pullimunchi and enjoy the flavors of Manglore. Great work Canara.

Worst food, we had kundapura chicken and bangda curry but its waste of money, better choice some other option. I am not sure somebody gave 5*

An authentic Mangalore restaurant with good food and staff who treat you really well. Food service is very fast and quality is good. The place is well situated with small space. If you are looking to eat fish and in the Mangalore style this is the best place to visit. Do have the rice roti that is the speciality over there.

The comfort Indian/Chinese food at Canara speaks for itself. With a wide range of bright and mouthwatering flavours ranging from sweet and juicy Gulab Juman to Chinese Spicy Beef that doesn't fail to make you sweat. The restaurant represents both cuisines quite well without being too experimental. In addition the restaurant is always jam packed with families and mates that are looking for reliable food that just tastes right. One complaint I have would be the weak selection of beverages in the extensive menu.
