I bought a car listed in CarSwitch. It was my first time buying a used car in Dubai. The only reason why I didn't give full 5 stars is because I was "handled" by different people during different stages of the purchase. It was confusing for me. I needed to proactively asked different people different questions and at one time I asked different people the same question. They all assumed I already knew the whole process of buying a used car in Dubai. I paid AED 700 in what they called "Valuation Certificate" and through the seller they received AED 2100 commission so this is a big chunk, I think they could do better to just assign 1 person as a point of contact for any questions.

But, the good thing is about CarSwitch, since there's always someone to execute at every purchase stage, they did all the formalities on the buyer's and seller's behalf. The trip to Tasjeel was more about sintting down until I get called by the CarSwitch representative to interact with RTA. This is helpful.

Long story short, there is an opportunity for improvement but I think CarSwitch delivered their promise. Thank you!

The overall process was very smooth and Ashar (car switch rep) was indeed a great support during the process.

Useless to use carswitch, they don't guarantee there reports, my car was reported as green on all inspection points. Comes 1 week later there are some very obvious fault that had to be regocnized.

After filing a complaint I received a pathetic phone call saying that the report is basic and that they don't guarantee what they are reporting. So why do a report then? Very misleading so be carefull if you use these people

I must say Car Switch had provided an excellent service to sell my car without any hassles. They dealt with the buyer and seller in a professional way. I was not happy with the way Car Switch handled me as a buying customer. I decided to not buy a car due to fault in AC and other issues. I asked them to refund me the deposit of 1,850 AED and I was refused. I understand that their terms and conditions were written on the deposit voucher but they wont read it out to you verbally before allowing you to sign. Please don’t forget your eyeglasses and sign blindly because they will not inform about what is non-refundable.

Had a great deal of support from the staff of Car Switch. Sufiyan handled the transactions and made it easy for the buyer n seller. And not to forget Sameer on initial stages of cordination with banks n insurance companies was very helpful.

Pretty much straight forward in buying a second hand car. Search on their application, booking a viewing, and decide if you want to buy the car on the spot.

The only downside Is that their car inspection report is not that reliable. I did not get any help in getting a car insurance.

This is our experience:

1. We saw a car on their website with good status. Almost everything is checked green as per their mechanic except for a few minor scratches. As a new driver and a person without any knowledge about cars, we decided to go with this specific car. As per their car condition report.

2. We booked the car and met them on the specified area. We met in Mussafah because the car owner lives their. It was a residential area full of cars with tight road on a summer day. I was expecting the location to be in a place where I can test drive the car properly with less or minimal distraction. So I just drive the car a little bit the neighborhood through the difficult area.

3. The first thing we noticed about the car is that it is very hot. I understand that it was under direct sunlight exposure. (According to their mechanic report the AC passed) But according to our checking, the AC was having difficulty producing cool air. According to the owner, it is because the car is in the direct sunlight. If the car is under the shade, the AC will produce cold Air. As I have mentioned earlier we don’t know anything about cars. So we said okay.

We waited for a while until the AC produces enough cold air, but still not enough.

4. We decided to buy the car, but we wanted it to be sent for a full inspection first which the car switch agent discouraged.

This is what the Carswitch representative said:

1. The full inspection is done in Dubai. If we want to do the full inspection. The car needs to be sent to Dubai and it will take some days. We are in Abu Dhabi.
2. The full inspection is not necessary since their mechanic already did the checking.
3. The full inspection will also be done in the Car Passing. They will do the same thing.

As a person with no knowledge about cars, we said okay.

5. We decided to buy the car. Since the car is on a cash payment basis. We paid the deposit to the carswitch representative, and the rest to the car owner.

6. The car owner handled the car inspection and the transfer, but before that, we needed to have a car insurance. According to carswitch they will handle it, but actually I am the one who did everything to get a car insurance.

7. On this part, it was us and the seller only. After my car insurance policy has been approved, the seller transferred the vehicle under my name. All payments where done online (mobile) and the remaining payment for the car was cash given to the seller.

8. Basing on the carswitch mechanics report and the car passing report. Everything is okay, except not.

Only when I was actually driving the car, 1-2 weeks, I was noticing that there is something wrong. Well, the AC included.

1. The front wheels seems unstable.
2. The gas pedal is not responding properly.
3. The AC was still a concern, although it was true that when the car is cold, the AC produces cold air.

We decided to send the car for a full inspection. Bosch CME.

The reports are:

1. Axels needs to be replaced. The Wheels needs to be realigned.
2. Spark Plug needs replacing.
3. AC Gas and recycling needed. Air filters and Ac filters needs changing.

We spent another 2000aed for these repairs, and I can tell you. The car wheels are now stable. The gas pedal responds perfectly. The AC produces cold air even after being under the sun for a long time.

So my advice for secondhand car buyers without any knowledge about cars is that, before buying the car, send it for inspection to a garage you trust.

It is the third car, I am selling with Car switch and quite happy with their service and the way they coordinated the deal.
They have done the testing of car and listed properly. The seller came and they allowed us to negotiate and then they also reduced their fees a bit to close the deal.they got the real buyer within 3 days and the deal done in one go. No hassles.

The current charges are little high for a low priced car and if they work on the pricing it will have even better for the visibility and more reach

Carswitch has a great user interface on the app and website and makes you feel like they are giving you all the right details However unlike most of the reviews here, I had a very uncomfortable experience with the agent of Carswitch after viewing the car. The process felt unprofessional as he was just sending me rates via Whatsapp without clarifying the procedures. They ask you to pay with no assurance. Fees added were not explained thoroughly so I lost confidence in buying the vehicle. Ways of improvement would be to be upfront with the fees and clarify it on the website and app.

PS - They don't lift the car or investigate any components internally. So buyer beware.

They inspect (but not the comprehensive inspection) the cars and provide their findings and score the car which is very useful as it cuts a lot of the hassle that a buyer would go through in the market. Once you request to view a car they call back within minutes and answer all your questions and set an appointment with the seller; their representative will be there with you and will follow up the process until you decide to buy the car. At tasjeel you will be assigned a representative that will help you and take care of all the procedures of transferring the ownership until you get the keys to your new car. I'd definitely recommend Car switch. My experience with Car switch was excellent. I paid the deposit, and a week later received the car as the seller wanted to fix few things. During this week the employees kept updating me, and asking if I need any help. They also got me insurance quotations and finished the insurance process through them.

I'd also thank Sufiyan, as he was there at Tasjeel and helped me through all the steps for 2 days in a row. Also Anthony the sales guy, he was so nice and professional.

Worst service ever;
Agents keeps calling frequently negotiating the price, one of the buyers got my number and started chasing me, annoying and just cares about the commission, even when I complained nobody cared about my experience or asked a feedback!

Your customer service agent Erjan Louie was very rude. First he called me to offer paid advertising of my car and I said I cant pay, then he say ok he will offer free advertising and he will send the guy to inspect my car. When he sent the guy to inspect, the guy told me that he needs 45minutes to do full inspection. Your customer service representative did not inform me of the timings in advance and so I had to tell the guy no need because I cannot be away from work that long. Now Erjan Louie kept calling and calling me and I couldn't answer as I was in a meeting and then when I answered he SHOUTED at me and said he will no longer offer Free advertising of my car and closed the phone in my face! He really shouldn't be allowed to work in a customer service environment as he is giving your company a very bad reputation. I will not tolerate this and I hope your management gives him disciplinary action.

Excellent Service from all the team at CarSwitch. My first point of contact was Elaine Santos who arranged for inspection, car advertising and client bids and appointments. Any viewing and testing is done in the presence of a CarSwitch agent and once price is agreed Farhan met with me and buyer at the RTA to do all the paperwork and make sure it was done quickly and smoothly. Highly recommend the service especially as the market is difficult and CarSwitch provides a screening of customers and make sure you don't have to deal with time wasters.

Nice team, nice inspection, nice app BUT it doesnt work. The payment upfront for the car sale was a loss. 0 visit from carswitch (even not a single one) while i was getting so much requests and interests every single day for this car from other sources. Car sold without a single customer visit from carswitch.

***Waste of money and time! *** Do not engage in any sort of business with them especially if you are a seller. They value your car and then change the ratings half way through cause they cant sell it for you (after you've paid them already). They deal with 3-party dealers mainly who sell and export your car and have zero respect for your priced vehicle! The guy who test drove my car jumped the curb and drove recklessly despite me warning them no to do so while the car switch rep just watched and smiled away! Speaking of CarSwitch rep, be careful of Shanib! Unprofessional, undervalues your car and will probably cost you more money than make you some! All they care about is their 3500 dirhams commission and that's right- it's the price for selling your car and not the 150AED that they claim!

A CarSwitch representative contacted me after seeing my vehicle for sale on another online platform and offered me a promotion of a free listing to sell my vehicle. They actually valued my vehicle higher than I had it advertised elsewhere and after the technician came to inspect my vehicle put it on their website. I was assured that my vehicle was an excellent example and in great condition by their technician. 8 months later the vehicle is still listed on their site and I have not had one potential buyer come to see the vehicle. The one thing that I have consistently had is calls from CarSwitch every 2 weeks advising me to lower the asking price which they specifically told me was actually too low to start with! Being reasonable, I have done this on 3 occasions, but now I am at a point where I will not reduce it anymore as it isn't worth giving it away. As a result they don't call me anymore, but my car is still listed on their site. So CarSwitch have failed to sell my car as they told me they would do for a fair market rate, therefore I cannot recommend them to anyone. The only reason I don't give a harsher review is that they listed my vehicle without charge due to a promotion at the time otherwise I would have paid for a service that didn't work. Not impressed at all.

I will dive straight into the negatives, sorry if its a bit long winded;

Their staff do not know enough about cars, especially special or rare ones. I wish they had people who knew about cars better because you need proper enthusiasts to be able to sell cars in the UAE, which is an international market and has all kinds of rare and special vehicles, i tried to list a BMW 1M with them, which is a rare and somewhat valuable vehicle.i sent them all the details and explained everything as clearly as possible.

Then their representative told me that their marketing team would get back to him with a value estimation for the vehicle. Here is what really upset me. He sends me back an email with 3 or 4 listings for high mileage regular 1 series BMW's such as 116i and 118i's, which in any continent, a BMW 116 is worth a fraction of 1M. He then proceeds to tell me that, he knows that my car is special but these cars he has sent me are similar to what price i should consider.i know of course due to COVID-19 all global markets have taken hits and i went into this knowing that fact, but comparing a 116i with 1M is just not acceptable in any market condition. This honestly really upset me, as a car selling website which has listings for cars like Bentley's and Rolls Royce's should have more knowledgeable people about cars and should be able to differentiate between regular and special cars.

My final spot of bother was the fact that, when i emailed him with current listings for similar vehicles to mine in Europe and the U. S and explained to him very nicely the difference between my car and those that his team had sent.i received no replies nor any emails. This made me really upset, as a car enthusiast i thought this platform would help solve the regular headaches of car selling and buying. But it turns out that i was very wrong and it is the same thing in a different name and package.

My review is for both potential customers and the website it self.so customers know that its not still ready. And the management know that with some changes their platform can really become something special, i hope this review will help.

I have proof of all this in my email for any party thinking that this is a made up story.

I've waited for 15 weeks to sell my car, I have to drop my price from 32k down to 23500 depending on the buyer (maybe due to pandemic), the sales persons assigned to me at the beginning was not that active (they assigned different person) V (was very though) helpful, I follow up and ask maybe the buyer who is viewing my car will be okay with my price drop.we have to let the sales person know how far we can drop the price to contact the buyer to proceed for test drive. And down to the tasheel the assign persons was not that clear.he said go to that counter and the guy will pay you.we were looking for him but he just left.no final discussion with us.no bye.he just left.the last part is the only thing I dislike about.

I am very frustrated, I payed 6% deposit for an infiniti car and started preparing for the bank process, then the next day I got a call from CarSwitch that the car is sold by the owner. This was very irritating
