Review of Casa Mia Italian Restaurant:

My recent visit to Casa Mia Italian Restaurant left much to be desired. Once a beacon of fine dining in the realm of Italian cuisine, it has regrettably fallen from grace. The deterioration in service was palpable, making the entire experience far from worthwhile.

Upon entering the establishment, it was evident that something had changed. Gone were the attentive staff members ready to cater to every need. Instead, we found ourselves waiting for what seemed like an eternity before a waiter reluctantly made their way to our table to take our drink orders. The subsequent disappearance of said waiter for a significant stretch of time only added to the frustration.

Eventually, another waiter graced us with their presence to take our food order, though the delay had already set a sour tone for the evening. Even a simple request for butter to accompany the bread was met with a noticeable delay.

Our starters, a mix of calamari, prawns, and zucchini, along with a minestrone soup, arrived after an excruciating 40-minute wait. The calamari, far from crispy as expected, lacked the desired texture. To add insult to injury, tartar sauce was conspicuously absent until we flagged down yet another waiter to rectify the oversight.

Moving on to the main course, we opted for the whole oven-baked seabass and lasagna. While the fish itself was passable, it failed to justify the hefty price tag of 450 dirhams. The lasagna, unfortunately, arrived burnt on one side and the meat lacked the depth of flavor that once characterized Casa Mia's offerings.

Overall, it's evident that the quality of both service and cuisine at Casa Mia has plummeted. What was once a favorite spot for Italian fare now feels like a shadow of its former self. The lack of attention to detail and disregard for providing a truly fine dining experience is disheartening. At this point, one might find better service and fare at a mid-priced establishment. Casa Mia has lost its luster, and until significant improvements are made, it's difficult to justify a return visit.

A restaurant with a classic and wonderful classic system, it contains pictures of the antique system and drawings of Van Gogh and made me feel inspired. The pizza is delicious. I tasted it for the first time in Italian pizza on its origins.

Sitting outside at Casa Mia reminds me of Italian trattoria restaurants. The menu is rich and full of Italian flavors.
I have been dining at Casa Mia for the past 16 years and I am impressed with how consistent the kitchen has been in providing a wonderful food experience.

This is such a beautiful little restaurant tucked away in this hotel. The food is amazing and menu is pretty extensive too.
But it is on the pricier side and they close in the afternoon so it's open only from 12 - 4 or so and then 7 PM onwards

Food was excellent, service and staff were extraordinary. I felt very welcome and I was always attended promptly. Management Please compliment all your staff <3.

Cozy place, yummy food and great service.
You don't need to park at the main gate of hotel, instead you need to drive all the way to the restaurant.

An authentic pizza joint that is very social and also good for a date, the staff were super friendly but more importantly very professional, well trained and know their food and highly trained to have a pleasant night out, The pizza is "Different" from any similar pizza spots I tried in dubai, it is well prepared of good components, sauce and toppings are well chosen and the pizza tastes "Italian by true means, the atmosphere is quite good and vintage in a way, a nice touch from the more over modernised restaurants in Dubai, in part very fit to the one of the oldest hotels in Dubai where it is located, you can also have a walk around other iconic restaurants which are fairly full on weekend nights, so reservation is advised, if you are a Marriotte Bonvoy member then you will be treated to your membership, will come back as I guess this place is full of regulars and fans of its original Italian pizza

Not bad Italian but far from a real restaurant in Italy. Work on the bread of the pizza and will make significant change to the all pizzas.

Everything was great! Saha and his team took great care of us. The patio area is very comfortable. The team all wear mask and take temperatures upon arrival. I ordered the octopus for my starter and my husband had the tuna tartare. They were both very nice. We shared the whole grilled fish which was very tasty as well. We ordered broccoli and spinach as our sides. Our daughter had a kids penne pasta with tomato sauce on the side. She ate majority of it as well as some of our broccoli. We enjoyed tiramisu and pineapple pannacotta as our deserts. Prosecco and Sauvignon blanc were our drinks of choice. We had 3 rounds, self explanatory! To sum it up the place is fantastic, the vibe, the experience, the service.all top tier! Definitely recommend!

I love the authentic feel this place has. It's like you are transported to a restaurant in Italy itself. The decor is very warm and inviting and the food is absolutely delicious. Service is also very good. Have been here several times and I can surely say it is one of the best Italian restaurants in Dubai. Highly recommended.

Great staff and delicious food. Our server from Bangladesh was happy to chat to us and tell us plenty from his life story. We were here on an emirates voucher so can't comment on the prices but can certainly say that the service is top notch. Cozy atmosphere and nice location and landscaping. Good option for a meal before a flight.

True Italian cooking, maybe the best even though it's so old but the food can never be compared to other italian restaurants

A new blood came with the new chef. Italian cuisine with an Italian chef. Just a bad point with one German dessert an a tiramisu not top.

Casa Mia was a revelation to us, an Italian village style restaurant tucked away in the throng of restaurants of Meridien village. The menu is a fantastic mix of ingredients without going overboard and caters well to vegetarians. We ordered two pizzas and two desserts. The pizzas were delicious and avoided the typical sort of standard flavor that pizza chains tend to have. The Pana Cotta and Tiramisu were spot on and I would have loved to indulge in another 3 or 4 rounds of the Pana Cotta. A specific highlight of the place is the staff with attentive waiters and prompt service. Definitely a new favorite for us and can't to head back here to try some other dishes.

Great place for dinner. Good Italian food near the hotel and airport. Shout out to Franky, Nik and Amil who added to the enjoyment of the dinner. Very efficient and pleasant service. Will be back!

Very good Italian restaurant. I loved burrata with aubergine starter. Pizza and potato gnocchi stuffed with meat were good but not that great.

Very elegant place. Waitresses are really gentle and kind, and all the restaurant is luxuous. Good wine. However i come from Italy, and Yes the food war really good and tasty, but it could be even better. I did not like Starters, one was based on egg and the other on fresh cheese, and i am allergic to Milk. The pasta was not so good. However fish and meat was excellent. Polenta seemed more a potatoes puree. At the end, i advise you to have dinner at Casa Mia

Food is ok, but there better Italien restaurants in town. The price you pay is too high for what you get. The place is really dark the atmosphere is not inviting.

Great place and by far the best Italian restaurant in Dubai. Chef Maurizio is simply the best of the best.
