deVere Acuma (Dubai)

We met with Shan earlier this year and he helped us get out of our previous advisory which we had a bad experience with and dealt with too many over promises. 6 months in and we have already had more communication from Shan then our other advisory had given us in 3 years.

When they cold call you, ask where they bought your name, address and contact details from. Cold calling is unethical, and these clowns are rampant.

If there was a negative star I would have preferred that. Invested money and trying to get someone to contact me, it has been a month since making the request. Everyday they have a reason not to contact me? This company is a SCAM in UAE, please avoid investing.

7 Year review.deVere Acuma have only managed to loose my money, EVEN after a strong 2021 for most stock markets! And I am paying them for this? ! Of course my relationship manager always has an excuse. Basically someone else's fault!

I would give two stars as they at least have taken my money and spent some of it on flashy offices for me to sit in while they make excuses as to how they have not managed to grow my investment, which I pay them to manage. But, I just can't bring myself to clicking on two stars through my sheer disappointment in them.

The worst part is, the investment is well and truly locked up with the investment vehicle recommended by them.

Being a novice investor, I myself have managed to make 35% on my stocks in the past year.

My overall experience, they are excellent sells men, but awful investors.

Whats wrong with the HR team. First they send job profile vacancies on LinkedIn. After showing interest on the same, they just disappear with no response. Atleast be professional and let us know that the position is already filled up.

I had some bad experience with one of their product in the past but they where able to solve it for me. Now I have a new advisor, Aaron, that is really responsive and that recommend. I do think they are a serious company.

Stay Away! Once they have your number, they will never stop calling you! I had to block 10 different numbers from them for them to give up.

Became very skeptical after meeting them. Very Professional, polite and friendly, but there is visible discomfort once you discuss what if things go wrong? Looking at charges, DeVere seems the beneficiary of your money. Any exits are heavily penalised. I stayed clear.
