I was shipping some craft work from Guatemala, and was dreading the courier services and cost. The company there used DHL, and sent me the waybill number. The DHL tracking system was fantastic and I received updates, which I had set up online, at each point of the journey, (which was extensive and across 3 countries before arriving in Dubai). I called DHL at that point to confirm delivery. The Call Centre was very good, and they called several times to update me, and finally the delivery agent called, and we arranged an exact time to meet. I have had very mixed experiences with couriers in Dubai, but this was spot on. Usually it is the delivery time window that causes issues, where you get told "between 9: 00 and 2: 00" and having been sitting around waiting for 5 hours, then getting a call to say it is coming tomorrow! The cost was reasonable, the service was friendly and efficient, and the system was very good. I would highly recommend DHL. My last comment however is that I just get the impression that courier services in the UAE are very expensive. This parcel, a reasonably sized box, cost US85 to get to me. I have previously paid nearly that same amount to get an envelope of papers to Abu Dhabi? (I will say that I did not use DHL on that occasion).
Please dont trust the negative reviews of this place! For the 1st time I've been to this place and had perfect experience. Mr. Ahmed helped me in all process and gave good service.
Just they are doing eye wash about delivery of shipment. They didn't seriousness about customer urgency throughout the full day. They All are Just doing entertainig with customers feelings and seriousness. My the best advice is don'tgo with them.
The customer service at the airport hub is not professional in dealing with account customers. He told me it will take him 40 minutes to generate an air way bill and that I have to wait even if I am already next in the cue. Aramex is much better when it comes to professionalism. I have visited their more than 10 times, any single time I never experienced good hospitality or good behaviour from the staffs, they are very arrogant and bully. They consider they as the boss and dealing with the customers with very bad behaviour. I hate dhl only because of this

My rating is only because of the crazy prices charged to ship stuff from UAE.
The item I received cost 300dhs to ship from a courier in Germany, shipping it back can cost up to 1400dhs. If someone can justify that I'd be glad to rate this place 5 stars.
DHL is supposed to be express, shipment came in on Thursday, its Saturday now, and all i have been told is, i have to wait. Customs cleared, but DHL has to pick it up. Non responsive as well. And we have to pay some duty, FedEx usually covers this. Overall bad experience with DHL
Visited the DHL services. Excellent staff. Wheelchair accessible. Has customer parking as well. New timings apply though. No more 24 hr service. Now 0800 - 2359.
Mostly the staff is friendly and very much supportive! But if u have encounter with worst employee of DHL Mr ROBIN at dhl terminal 2 service center, for sure he will mess the service level criteria of Dhl! Employees are the face of any company and the people who face customer should have pleasing personality with supportive behaviour instead telling the customer tht he is working for dhl for 10 years and he cant do this he cant do tht! Something rediculous and over reacting behavior. Anyways all fingers are not equal so Dhl may also have some personals who dont knw how to deal with loyal customers!
