Authentic Maharashtrian cuisine! Brought back so many childhood memories. The sabudana vadas as a starter were excellent, and the vangyache bharit was as if my mother made it. Really enjoyed it.

If you are looking for some authentic Maharashtrian flavors in Dubai then this is definitely the place to try. Comforting environment, delicious food and amazing service.

Cute place tucked away. Good quality is superb. The ambience is a respite from noisy loud smoky places. Quality of the food is price matched.
06 January 2023 2:55
Proper food. We got tasty Maharashtrian food here that was well prepared and tasted like it should (pretty spicy). This is not an up scale place - more of a hole in the wall - but the food was terrific and the price was right. I will definitely be back and this will be in my rotation for sure.

We went for lunch on a Wednesday this week. The surmai was stale and tasteless. The nagpuri saoji lamb was overcooked. The bombil fry had bones that were not pleasant. The only saving grace was the coconut prawns which was made fresh and pn The spot. The overall bill was 200 AED. I will not recommend until they improve freshness of protein they serve.

Authentic Maharashtrian dishes available.
Have tried vada, misal, sheera, upma, kothimbir vadi which were very tasty
10 August 2022 3:22
Loved the food
Ambience was ok, not too fancy. Service was good, cooking time was 15-20mins.
Portions were enough for 2, food was freshly made and hot.
Overall a good experience.

Absolutely tasteless and pathetic.
Ordered poha, upma-sheera and poori bhaji for breakfast and none of them had salt or any sort of flavor in it. It’s difficult to fathom how one could ruin a simple dish like upma or poha. The bhaji leaves a lot to be desired, chunks of potato floating in a pool of turmeric infused oil. The pooris were as thick as parathas and soaked in oil. Extremely disappointing.
It’s a joke that they call themselves “Diva Maharashtracha” for their chef has zero cooking skills and their food is an apology to Maharashtrian cuisine.

Authentic maharashtrian non veg food. Great service and delicious taste though its a small restaurant but worth a visit
22 March 2022 8:12
Very good test and I personally feel that I am eating some where in Maharashtra. All sea food are unbelievable and same test as you eat in konkan regions
13 March 2022 6:43
Experience was not so good. I ordered fried pomfret, prawns masala, prawns Koliwada, Sol kadi but it was very poor in taste. Only bhakari and Amboli was good
06 March 2022 18:35
AMAZING FOOD! Tried the kolhapuri prawn thali, mutton potato chops, crunchy coconut prawns, mutton savaji n rice bhakri.all lip-smacking but, mutton savaji was delicious! Very different flavors from your regular north or south Indian food.must try

19 February 2022 10:18
We ordered Tandoori Malwani Style masala pomfret and pepper fry prawns. Both were tasteless. Pomfret was marinated only with red chili powder with no other spices and salt. Pepper fry prawns was not fully cooked. We were expecting authentic maharastrian food but it failed miserably.
03 February 2022 23:11
Authentic Maharashtra food, must try the Kombdi vade, Misal, Nagpori Saoji, All the other dishes I have tried too is very good. Priyanka and Ritesh are excellent host. Keep up the good work

Ordered maharashtrian thali with kolhapuri prawns.
Prawns sukha in the thali was stale and was smelling bad
Over priced for what they give
22 January 2022 2:10
Nice and tasty food. Serving it hot from kitchen makes it super delicious. Staff are friendly. Hotel is small one. No prebooking needed. Goan and Maharashtra foods you can try. Not super expensive
08 January 2022 14:54
One of hidden gems of JLT. They serve Maharashtrian, goan food. The Goan Currey is fabulous. Welcome drink with preomegranate flavour is must try.
06 January 2022 8:41
Initially food was good but based on today’s experience looks like concentration on money but not quality. Sorry but this is my feedback
28 December 2021 2:53

Horribly spicy food, despite calling the restaurant and telling them about our intolerance to spicy food. Had to throw the food and go without lunch
The owner refused to compensate for the blunder despite zomato asking them to do so.
08 November 2021 23:47
We had puran poli and fish. The taste is good. The seating arrangement is very limited. So make sure you book table before going. When we went it wasn't much crowded, so got a place easily. Potion size of food is average and they can improve on taste a bit.
18 October 2021 14:33
I’ve been a loyal customer but their services have been very disappointing lately. I ordered a malvani fish fry a couple of weeks ago but it was stale and completely off. I gave them another chance and ordered breakfast from the restaurant today, they accepted the order and then cancelled it 30 minutes later. When I called the restaurant, they said they can’t serve breakfast anymore as it’s 11: 00 am and the staff eat leftovers. Waste of time. I will not recommend this restaurant.

Yesterday we were here for the dinner or i would say early dinner. As per Hindu culture Sawan month is going on so we ordered veg thali & sawan thali with mint mojito in drink.

Very nice atmosphere and polite staff. Both thalis are simply amazing with everything on one plate which include dal rice roti sabji with salad and meetha.

We were there with kido so they were super supportive just gave him fries.

Food was super super healthy and tasty. Was not able to try their non veg this time but for sure going to visit soon for trying their non veg option.thanks so much for this wonderful experience,

Absolutely dreadful food, it looks tasty at first. BUT LOOKS ARE DECIEVING HERE. The food was oily and just stale.quality wise is not even worth a quarter of it. The solkadhi is ready made, the puran poli is ready made. Even the chapati is thick and nasty. ' I really hope they can improve their taste, much better places in JLT in my opinion
27 May 2021 19:07
Authentic Maharashtrian food. Highly recommended if one is looking for the traditional western Indian food. The dishes on the menu are unique and all the dishes we tried were super good.
29 March 2021 13:22
What an amazing eating joint. Enlightened my taste buds. Sauchi mutton, vade, kolhapuri sukke are the best. Thecha is amazing.

Loved the food.specially the Misal Pav and Wada.pure touch of amchi mumbai.

Kokum was also exceptional.thanks for the warm welcome too
24 February 2021 1:43
Fails to impress. Nothing that justifies name maharashtra in the name. Ordered kolhapuri mutton sukke and saogi mutton - while their was an effort to make food taste authentic, the uncooked mutton ruined the entire experience.
21 February 2021 4:59
Must visit for an authentic Maharashtrian food experience. We order dry prawns, chicken curry, rice and couldn't stop eating. The kokam sharbat is a must try.
16 February 2021 9:05
Lovely ambience, welcoming customer service, authentic maharashtraian food, loved the taste of Amti, good range of selection. Definitely worth visiting often due to flavorful taste, good portion size and value for money

Have you ever tried authentic cuisine from the state of Maharashtra in India? Neither had I until I went to this place! @divamahadxb is a cosy neighbourhood restaurant in JLT that serves up the most delicious Marathi food with a home-made feel. ⠀

Their cuisine is meant to be on the spicy side so if that's not your cup of tea, ask them to take it down a few notches You can taste that the flavours are different from the usual Indian food we're used to even with similar spices and ingredients. ⠀

Their Kolhapuri mutton curry was outstanding, the spices were complex yet balanced and paired perfectly with a masala vegetable pulao. My favourite however was something called a Sabudana wada which is really a deep fried vada made of sago, spices, peanuts and chilli. I just couldn't get enough! ⠀

Diva Maharashtracha in Dubai is a branch of the popular restaurant in Mumbai.

They serve authentic Marathi cuisine from different parts of Maharashtra. They serve a great variety of vegetarian dishes as well as the popular costal dishes from the region.

We started off with some traditional drinks, Solkadi & Kokum Sarbat. Solkadi is made from coconut milk, kokum and is slightly spicy. Whereas Kokum Sarbat made from fry kokum is sweet. I enjoyed both the drinks.

For starters we had Kothimbir Wadi, Paneer Karanjee, Malvani Fish Fry and Pumpkin Soup. Kothimbir vadi is a delicious savory crisp snack made with gram flour (besan), coriander leaves and spices. In marathi language “kothimbir” or “kothmir” stands for coriander leaves. Paneer Karanjee has crispy outer layer and soft cottage cheese (paneer) filling inside. Kids loved it as it was very low on spice. Malvani Fish Fry is crispy outside and soft inside. Pumpkin Soup too was made to perfection.

In main course we tried a good variety of dishes. Bharleli Wangi is stuffed brinjal marinated in traditional Maharashtrian spices and herbs that you can’t get over. The yellow Dal Fry is a simple dish that can be eaten anytime. Patodi Bhaji is a Vidarbha's traditional recipe. It mainly contains Patawadi & Curry (Rassa). Patodi is cooked with Gram Flour and Curry has a base of dry coconut and various other spices. Saoji Mutton Curry was one of my favorites. The curry is made from dried red chilies.

We had an assortment of breads and pulao to have with the dishes above.

The bottle gourd sweet (Doodhi Halwa) was well made too.

Food was not up to Maharashtrian or Goan type expectations, while prices seemed a little high. Need to work harder to become the customer's choice of restaurant.

There are only a handful of restaurants offering Maharashtrian cuisine in Dubai and Diva Maharashtracha in JLT is has authentic flavours and a range of dishes that are well worth trying out. It is a franchise of the famous outlet in Bombay and has received many awards and recognition there. ⠀

Maharashtrian cuisine is on the spicier side so you can request the restaurant to tone it down if needed. We started off with the spicy drink Solkadi (Kokum/Indian Cranberry with green chillies and garlic) and the refreshing Kokum Sarbat (Kokum, cumin, cardamom, black pepper and sugar). These are very unique tasting drinks and if you're adventurous then give them a go. ⠀

For starters, we had the (must order) Sabudana Wada (sago, potatoes, green chillies and groundnut that is fried together) and Chicken Konkan Hirva Fry (mild green masala coated on boneless chicken and fried). ⠀

In the mains, I would highly recommend the Kolhapuri Tambada Rassa Mutton which is spicy but just hits the spot in terms of flavour and taste. The Mix Oil Usal is a good option for vegetarians and I really liked the coconut flavour in it. Lastly, the Masala Bhaat with Katachi Amti (rice cooked with veggies and served with daal like sour gravy) was very good as well. ⠀

The staff was prompt and the managers/owners were friendly and welcoming. Overall it was a very good dining experience packed full of flavours. I will definitely be returning back to try their other traditional dishes very soon. ⠀

This was my first experience trying the Maharashtrian food in Dubai and glad to say it was a good experience. Impressive service and cosy ambience. They have an elaborative menu for veg options too. From starters to desserts everything had a great taste. Best place to enjoy authentic Maharashtrian cuisine

So delectable & comfort food at the same time. Amboli, stuffed eggplant - so authentic Maharashtrian. Perfect for a weekend dinner. Prepared fresh, hygienic and piping hot. Ambience, service 100/100. This restaurant is an under-celebrated jewel of Indian food in JLT. Thanks to the team for a great meal
