Dr Priya Verma is the worst ever pediatric dentist.

I am writing to express my deep concerns and dissatisfaction regarding the recent consultation for my six-year-old daughter with Dr. Priya Verma at your Bur Juman Branch.

Our initial consultation took place on November 11th, during which Dr. Verma recommended a Root Canal treatment for my daughter's tooth, followed by the placement of a cap. Unfortunately, my experience with the clinic has been far from satisfactory.

Firstly, there were significant communication issues during the treatment planning discussion. Dr. Verma's responses were unclear and lacked transparency, creating confusion about the treatment process. Despite my reservations, I proceeded with the treatment in good faith.

Upon completion of the first sitting, I was informed of a co-payment of approximately 370 AED. Seeking clarification about the payment structure for the second sitting, I was initially provided with unclear information by the reception staff. Subsequent communication revealed a lack of prior approvals, leading to a delay in the process.

On November 13th, I took a day off from work, only to face further inconvenience. Despite my daughter fasting for two hours in preparation for the treatment, no prior approvals were secured by 2: 45 PM. When questioning Dr. Verma about this delay, she offered unsatisfactory explanations, citing her busy schedule as an excuse for the oversight. It is unfair to expect patients to bear the consequences of the clinic's administrative shortcomings.

Moreover, Dr. Verma's communication style during this encounter was unprofessional. She expressed impatience and suggested that I pay the full amount immediately if I wanted to proceed with the treatment. This approach is not only discourteous but also unacceptable given the circumstances.

Furthermore, Dr. Verma expressed doubts about the insurance coverage for the crown, creating unnecessary uncertainty. Although my insurance company later confirmed approval for all components of the treatment, Dr. Verma altered the treatment plan arbitrarily, contradicting her initial recommendations.

I must highlight that throughout the process, Dr. Verma failed to adequately explain the procedure, displayed impatience with questions, and treated my daughter in a manner that was far from gentle. This has resulted in a distressing experience for both my daughter and me.

My son is 3 years old, we went to Dr. Namrata in the Burjmann branch. She is extremely good, very patient with the kids

My daughter Katie has been a patient of Dr Namrata Mathrawala for 2 years now and she is the best pedia dentist since then. She is is very sweet and really has a magic touch! We are very thankful to Dr Namrata not only for taking care of my daughter’s dental issues but for her overall support and compassion to families like us! The clinic is also very neat and the staffs are pleasing. We will definitely recommend this clinic and dr Namrata to everyone, we always do:)

As a mom, I was so worried for my son’s broken tooth but Dr. Namrata explained all the options we can have for treatment, briefed us on each procedure, the results, side effects, outcome and all which helped me understand everything and also re-assured me that all will be well.

For my son’s broken tooth, we still tried to save his tooth but when we did x-ray, it’s already broken from gums so she advised to totally extract it. I was so anxious but she really explained to make it easier and worry free for us. She was a real expert, very patient, friendly and helpful to us. When my son was not accepting sedation gas, she then advised us to proceed without it and she is right!:) It was indeed the better option for him. Step by step procedure was done and thankfully it was successful. After the procedure she calmed down my son, gave him treats, given us tooth care briefings + meds advices.
Follow-up check up was also done just to check and over-all it’s perfect.

P. S Their clinic is superb from the interior, facilities, location and the building itself.

Dr. Mathrawala is such a darling to my two kids. She's a very professional and expert in handling kids, very accommodating and very detailed in explaining about my kids' teeth condition. Her assistant is also accommodating and friendly. I also love it when they do call me to follow up if how are my kids after their visits with Dr. Mathrawala.

A little suggestion if possible, it would be great if the ladies in the reception will greet their guests when they approach the reception desk.:)

It was my best decision to choose this clinic after having some serious tooth issues. I really appreciate Dr. Smitha Jacob, super professional and excellent diagnosis. She treated me like a family member and always make sure if we are comfortable during and after the treatment. Got great support from her. The atmosphere inside the clinic is cool and relaxing. Great experience! The doctors and staff are very helpful and friendly. Dr. Smita is the doctor I'm mainly following with, and she's very helpful especially with her advice/recommendations, and I had an operation with Dr. Indraniil which went very smoothly and with minimal pain. The staff are constantly following up after each visit as well to check if everything is ok. I highly recommend this clinic.

I had recently called Dr. Joy Dental call center for general enquiry and the call was attended by "Ms. Anna"  (worst nightmare).

Employees at Fish/Vegetable market speak English in an understandable way and with respect.

Anna kept telling "My dear" "My dear" on the phone when she should be answering my query and the unbearable fake accent made it tough to understand her English (sounded like she was mimicking on the phone).

The same query was answered by 3 other dental centers in a very polite manner and proper information provided.

I have no doubt that you have the best Doctors but with such agents who speak gibberish how can we get proper information about Doctors and treatment.

However; my query was sorted and treated by another clinic.

I want to thank the team of DR. Joy Dental Clinic- Burjuman. Special thanks to the Specialist and Orthodontist DR. RAJAT DUTTA for his patience and him enduring my questions with courage. He explained everything and accommodated my emergency adjustments. 14 months now that i have completed my treatment with unexcepted results more than what i was promised. Always friendly and professional staff around making my each visit smooth.i would definitely recommend any one who is looking to be served by one the most efficient team i have seen so far. Had a tooth extraction procedure done by Dr Indraniil Roy. It was performed really well as I hardly felt anything. Definitely recommended!

I've visited Dr Joy Dental clinic several times to show my mother. Dr Indranil Roy and Dr Cheryl Salian were so helpful. My mother got diagnosed with Erythroplakia and both these doctors were so careful and proactive in getting a biopsy for her. Further more, Dr Cheryl made sure to schedule my mother in for a cleaning session even though she didn't have an appointment and made sure her oral hygiene was on point. I highly recommend this clinic. All the doctors here are very professional and helpful. I have to mention Dr, Smita as well, she was the first doctor we visited here and was so kind and good at her job.

We are very pleased with the treatments my son have received. We are very grateful to Dr Namrata with the way she dealt with our son’s case from consultation up until post op. She really took her time just to make my son comfortable with her during check ups given my son’s condition unlike some other dentist who just want to quickly finish and move on with another patient. She even called us herself to check on our son’s progress. We are also very thankful for the treatment modalities that she offered to us just so we can afford our son’s treatment. So as with Dr Atif, the anesthesiologist who was very accommodating and even lessen his fee to help our case. Overall we are very satisfied and thankful to our doctors and to all of Dr. Joy’s team.

Dr. Indraniil at Dr. Joys Dental clinic is an excellent doctor. Just had my wisdom tooth surgically removed by him and the procedure was pain free and quick. This says a lot for someone who has zero pain tolerance. Definitely recommend him.

Got the treatment done for our 2 year old son under general anesthesia involving caps, fillings and a root canal. Very happy and grateful to Dr Namrata for the way she handled our son and us. Explaining all treatment options, helping us the best way forward and promptly following up on his progress. After the procedure was done there was no compliant of any pain or any other issue. Very nice dental clinic. I was having trouble with my teeth due to a wrong treatment with a previous dentist. Dr Charisse took good care of me, she was very patient and kind. All my traitements were done with no pain and a good follow up. I really recommend, especially if you were scared of going to dentist in the past. Great staff and very clean place too.

Thanks to Dr Joy Clinic, my teeth are practically in their peak performance.well not until my retainers also finish their job after two years. Regardless, I enjoy the result of the painful year wearing braces! Huzzah!

Don't go here, the pain I experienced here, gave me me phobia for dentists.
I had to go home with my root canal treatment incomplete because of the pain. I had to use one side to eat for a whole year because of the pain I experienced. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone.
