Dum Pukht Biryani Restaurant

The best Pakistani restaurant in Dubai. Very good quality food and service. My food was super tasty and had authentic taste. The supervisor told me they use Pakiatani sourced ingredients and that's why the food tastes better. A big shout out to the serving staff. They served with care and attention to detail. They are polite and always happy to help and go the extra mile for the customer.
My recommendation is to try the Mutton Karahi and Kebab amongst other lovely decadent dishes.

Food lovers do check this place out. I'll surely be coming in for more.

Tried their bestseller mutton biryani for dinner last night and nothing has change since the last time i had it 3 years ago. OMG! It'srhe best! The ambience is so accomodating and the staff is so friendly. With that, they deserve a 5 stars or more. Will surely come back next time.

We ordered a food (Chicken Bihari Kabab and Chicken Tikka, by delivery), which at the end looked completely different from the ones of the menu card. I should have made a photo to proof that, but we all were too hungry.
At the end it was without any salad or french fries, it was just meat inside the box. Apart from that it was horribly expensive. (usually it costs around 5$ something in the emirates, but here it costed 15$!)
Sorry. I would have given zero stars for it, but - to be fair - the meat itself was ok enough.

Ordered chicken biryani Worst taste ever. Biryani full of potato. No taste. Chicken piece smells very oily and othat oil doesn't seems to be fresh Its hopeless. Very much disappointed. Would not recommend friends

Really disappointed. I have tried chicken biryani. Very cheat Quality rice and chicken piece. Local kitchen have better Quality then dumphukt.

Don’t even think of trying their snacks… the roll and bun kebab are pathetic. The worst that I ever tried.

Chaat is very basic and spicy to a level that it’ll be difficult to eat.

Overall a big disappointment. We use to eat Dampukht but trust me it’s not the same and I guess the ownership has changed and the food is amazingly bad.

Didn't try the biryani because long back when I did have it, didn't really enjoy it; but the mutton kadhai this time was really nice and this experience has been encouraging enough to once again put this restaurant on my list of frequently ordered from food joints.

I have order today halwa puri and Haleem naan at JLT dumpukht. Very bad experience puri was the same as paratha. Haleem was stale (Basi) with a bad smell. I have called the restaurant to complain and exchange they said we are waiting for management to make a decision. Then it was replaced with chicken dish the taste was good. I think so chef must taste before giving food for packing and delivery.

This is a review after visiting this restaurant many times over.
The taste and quality of food isn’t actually bad. In fact, I like it.
But be prepared to wait, even when it’s empty.
From order to receive the foods takes too long. From a simple dish to let’s say a tandoori chicken.
And on many occasions the server has delivered the wrong food.
The team is very friendly and nice bunch of people and the food is good, so I keep going.

Had aftaar / dinner. Amazing ambience. Delicious and very tasty Pakistani food. One of the rare restaurants which serves authentic Pakistani food in UAE. Hygienic environments. Very courteous and friendly staff, especially Mr. Amir.
The food recalls me of my best days in Lahore. Kudos to Dumpukht staff and management for such an awesome experience.

This place and management is such a mess. Veg spring rolls came with chicken pieces, luckily they themselves and told us. There was beef piece in a chicken biryani. Half items ordered never showed up. Hapless waiter and indifferent Manager who never bothered to move from his seat. Even the food that arrived correctly was very weird tasting. Avoid!

Wide range of authentic and traditional foods served with lots of care and comfort to the customer especially if u r visiting approch mr amir. Who can recommend you the best and suggest u to try the sweets and would recommend the mutton biryani.

Ordered aloo palak from them and thought it would be something interesting to eat.
But to my surprise it was completely taste less, no flavor. Only green stuff. Really disappointed from the taste of aloo palak

Order a delivery from here only if you can wait for hours at end and have no hopes to when you can receive the food. The restaurant will not answer your call and they have no way to track their delivery.
This is in relation to their motor city branch - which is an absolute joke! Its now two hours since i placed my order and i have given up trying to wait for my food!

Worst place to order.
Wrong order and late delivery is usual.
I understand Zomato stopped working with them so even you order on Zomato the restaurant delivers.
Upon follow up they will alway say driver is on the way and put all delay blame on driver but actually they give so many orders to one driver that you should order at lunch time if you need dinner.

Dum Pukht used to serve authentic dishes which is no longer the case. We used to dine in frequently at their Karama and International city branches which unfortunately are closed and I'm very surprised. We had booked Iftar dinner for 10 people at their JLT branch and had clearly informed the supervisor/manager to ensure the reservation is made accordingly to avoid any inconvenience however when we've turned up there it was very poorly organized. We were supposed to sit outside and as per their supervisor/manager they were confused since another family with the same first name showed up however they were 7 in total. I had provided my complete name while reserving the spot a day earlier however this vague excuse from the supervisor/manager is not at all acceptable. The food quality, taste, variety, serving were not at all up to the standards since the okra and dal makhni didn't have any taste at all. Moreover, their mutton kebab was hell spicy which resulted in us not trying their buffet completely since we were very disappointed. Moreover, we were advised the ramadan buffet timings were from 6: 30 pm until 9: 30 pm and one of their staff/waiter approached us around 8: 00 pm and informed that the buffet is about to close by 8: 30 pm which was very surprising. I had provided our feedback about the experience to the supervisor/manager and instead of compensating us for all this mishap he was more concerned on taking the entire amount per person for the buffet which is indeed very disappointing. I would not recommend this restaurant.

The staff at JLT needs to learn some basic etiquette of handling their customers. We had booked a table for iftaar and least they could have done is been polite and shown some manners to us. My husbands hand was held when he was taking a juice just before iftaar time, while all other people at restaurant were hovering on the buffet with no social distancing. Needless to mention that he was being asked to go and pick up from buffet by another staff. This kind of behaviour in a hospitality industry is not acceptable. We immediately left from there even after there was only 5 mins to break fast and no-one had courtesy to apologise. If I could give this restaurant more than a worst rating, I would have given. Not recommended at all

Luvd d ambience, food was unexpectedly gud in iftar buffet, variety in food was a sure shot surprise. At 48 AED.you can njoy heartily ol dishes at iftari.

Quality food at convenience rate. Great test indo-pak food. Staff are very gentle and polite. Sitting arrangements inside as well as out side of restaurant.

Wouldnt recommend this restaurant to anyone. Had tried to go for Lunch on friday. After much delay to attend us and take our order, waiter had got food which was old and cooked yesterday.

Great restaurant with delicious food and amazing outdoor seating offering views of JLT and Marina high rise buildings. Service was a bit slow.

Food taste was good but they wasted my more than 1 hour as they were focusing on deliveries. Furthermore, they refused to redeem moee than 1coupon of entertainer app.

Located right beside the Lake in cluster T, this place has great indoor and outdoor seating arrangements with all SOPs being followed. Staff is friendly and welcoming, very efficient and kind. We were told specialities and best sellers. Decided to order muxed grill, biryani with shami kbab, nihari and naan. I also added lemon mint for me. Everything was served fresh, food was delicious. Biryani was perfect loved it. Nihari was good, but could be better. Mixed grill was perfectly delicious and raita with the platter was yummy! Ended the night on sweet note with falooda and it was so delicious! The only thing missing was some lighting outside, as weather is just perfect to dine out but lighting was insufficient so we dined in inside. Definitely going back to this place soon ️

Value for money buffet. BBQ was good but a little cold. Biryani was OK. Qorma was very nice and the kheer was also amazing. I would rate it 8/10. Will definitely visit again

It offers best close to original Pakistani food in Dubai, especially food of Central Punjab. My personal favorite is Naan, that is similar to those you get in Gujranwala division. Overall the food quality is best in town for Pakistani cuisine.

Worst service & very irresponsible staff, I had to wait for my order for over 40 minutes & when i inquired, the waiter responded: I forgot to place your order, I am sorry: : : that is it: : : & this was not the first time something like this had happened, surprisingly the waiter took another 25 minutes to get my order as he was busy gossiping with the cashier.

Since service topic is here, I had a similar experience, seriously, who takes 45 minutes to serve a before hand prepared dish. Waiters are just not interested in customers nor they value feedback, I complained the cashier about the delay & as i turned back i could see the waiter & cashier making fun of my complain.

Worst Service & not worth food, dont waste your time & money here.

I agree with you Rubina, oh man, i was cursing myself for walking into this restaurant.
My order took exactly 38 minutes (plus 20 minutes which waiter took to place my order) to be served, when i asked for additional plain rice, it took them another 30 minutes & just no responsibility from waiter, As rubina said, the waiters were having a galla time they just dont care about customers.

Taste of food is typical Pakistani.excellent variety of food as well. It's a small place, very crowded during lunch time

Tried them twice in 3 days hoping to get something better, but I was totally wrong. First time I tried lamb biryani, it was OKish, not something you'd want to eat again.

Second time, tried tarka daal, tawa qeema and chicken tikka, none stoodout as something authentic. Taste was very bland and you could hardly tell the difference between the dishes as there was no taste.

It doesn't look like Pakistani restaurant.

If they are Pakistani, than unfortunately they have goorafied the food to the level that's its tasteless.

Ordered a very simple dal makhni and tandoori roti for a quick meal at night.
What I get is Stale Dal and hard rotis.
Cannot dare to order again.
I wish they had refused to serve.

Excellent taste of traditional Pakistani food in reasonable price range, good service. The only concern is limited sitting capacity for dine in.

Delicious grill and afghan style mutton biryani, awesome in taste and very reasonable price in city like Dubai.

Been a fan of this brand from the time I first tried it in karama branch in year 2005.

Their biryani is good, but what I would actually want to mention here is their Mutton Kheema.

It is made just the way it is supposed to be. PERFECT!

Combined with their Paratha and mixed with Chutney.is Heavenly!

The Chicken Tikka pieces we ordered was good and worth the money paid. It was juicy.

The staff here unlike Karama branch is not that friendly, however this concern is sidelined when the FOOD IS SO GOOD!
