I recently had the pleasure of dining here earlier (lunch time) where the food surpassed all expectations. The flavors were exquisite, and each dish was a delightful culinary experience. What truly set this place apart, however, was the exceptional staff namely Pradeep, Nazifa, Kamelia, Zuura and Jerome. Their attentiveness, knowledge, and warm demeanor elevated the entire dining experience, making it truly memorable. Highly recommended for both food enthusiasts and those seeking outstanding service.

We had our lunch here and all the foods were great. The flavors were exquisite, and each dish was delightful culinary experience. Staffs are very friendly, nice and accommodating especially Pradeep, Kamelia, Jerome and Zuraa. I love them they are so nice with us. Me and my friend will definitely go back here. Definitely worth the price.:)

Good spread. Food is fresh and flavourful. Staff is attentive and eager to serve. I loved the sushi (I think that was specially added for this lunch event) usually they don’t have sushi for lunch buffet. The salads were divine

The worst ribeye steak i have ever tried in Dubai… you can find it twice better for twice lower price…)

We had a lovely time at the Dunes yesterday! The team at the restaurant were super attentive and courteous. Shangrila always takes their pride in their people! Nafeesa made sure all guests were happy and looked after our kids as well by offering balloons, nice touch.

The food spread was amazing for the sea food night. The food quality was super and the deserts were plentiful!

I also briefly met a waiter at the lobby bar who communicated well with guests and offered extensive information about their offerings.

Overall we will definitely return back for the dinners/lunches and we kept nice memories of last night.

Surprised by the taste of food. I really loved the noodles, on which you can season just the way you want. They have a good range of cheeses to munch on. And in terms of dessert, you can scoop the ice cream of the flavor you want, and even add toppings that you want in their selection. The only thing missing and unfortunate, is that coffee is not as part of your buffet selection for your drinks.

I ran a birthday dinner foe my daughter at Dunes cafe. The experience was above of what we expected. Food was amazing, and staff were very nice. They prepare balloons and a small cake and sang to my daughter. Thanks Pradeep, Elnura, Hans, and Nazifa for your warm welcome

We had our Anniversary Dinner here and all the staff are so accomodating and aside for the fact that the starters and mains are superb! Maybe more improvement on Dessert? But our complimentary cake is to die for

Located in ground floor of Shangrila Hotel Dubai the environment is very good!
We having a lunch buffet here, surprise with an excellent service and super friendly staff and cook. They will explain the food display to you one by one if you are first time comer. Rarely have the cook come out to served customers but they did, very impressed.
All the food here well displayed and the taste and very delicious, with the price is reasonable, highly recommended!

Have been there with my team for a birthday party. We all loved it. Buffet was awesome and ambience was lovely. They have taken care of our vegetarian guests and jain guests as well. It was indeed great experience!

Dubai has blown my mind away. Especially. When it comes to diversity of cuisine. I've been to some places before around the city but I've never had such a good time. Everything was just right, from the entrance and ambience to the choices presented by the team from the menu to the sweet delight of the dessert. Dinner was something else, my fiancé loved it so much and the service was flawless. You guys made our night. By this way I would like to give my appreciation to the people that were in charge of us and made our night a moment to remember. Big thanks to Gregg and Nazifa but our special appreciation goes for Deniss. He put so much effort and gave us a perfect service. Keep it up and all the best. Dunes Cafe from my side had everything just right. I recommend to all my friends in Dubai to pass by and have an amazing experience.

I was there for a lunch buffet, we arrived a little late at 14: 20 and they supposedly close at 15: 00, BUT, the food was amazing, staff was super friendly, everything was fresh, so welcoming and friendly. Even they kept the buffet open longer just for us even after closing they kept the desert there Just for us.
I recommend everyone to try the roast beef OMG it was delicious and tasty.

Dunes Café is the all-day-dining restaurant at the Shangri-La Hotel on Sheikh Zayed Road. Located in the lobby on the right as you enter its décor is very much a continuation of the hotels, and as such, is a very pleasant place to dine. The Dunes buffets and Friday brunches have made quite a name for themselves and are considered one of the better culinary offering on the Sheikh Zayed strip. Benjarong at the Dusit Thani on the opposite side of the highway being the notable other. I was at Dunes to try their breakfast buffet with a friend who was staying at the hotel.

Being at the Shangri-La meant there was going to be an Asian bias to the buffet, and I was not disappointed in this regard. Fresh dim sum and noodle stations were just two of my favourite spots along the winding buffet. Being a buffet in Dubai meant there were sections which covered something for the Middle Eastern, Western and Desi pallets as well. I ordered myself a lovely bowl of breakfast noodle soup, spiking it with some fiery chilli sauce for that little extra wake me up. Goooood morning Dubai. Everything on this buffet is of the highest quality.

Service at all Shangri-La venues is excellent, and Dunes Café was no different. In addition to being genuinely friendly, I found their staff attentive and accommodating. Dunes has themed nights for dinner almost every night, the crown jewel of which is their surf and turf Lobster, Seafood and Wagyu Beef Buffet which at AED 475 minus drinks isn’t cheap but I hear its excellent. Themes vary so be sure to call ahead to find out before coming. Is the breakfast worth AED 150? If you’ve got an Emirates NBD card it certainly is because you get 25% off. I think all Shangri-La venues are worth a visit, including this one.
