Elite Shipping (ES) cannot be trusted. They completely failed to deliver on our contract and then retreated to endless attempts at denial and deflection. And even when their conduct was no longer defensible, there was still no real commitment to refocus on customer service and make up for the incredible mess they created. Instead they kept flooding the zone with empty promises. Plus, I never received a response from the ops team or senior management who were copied on more than 200 emails between all parties involved over 5 months. Those in charge just kept hiding behind the friendly sales & marketing team.

When my belongings – shipped from Dubai to Australia – were delivered to our home in early Oct 2022, much of the content was seriously damaged. To make things worse: 32 boxes/items were missing, incl.clothes, shoes, office stuff, and more; causing some serious disruption in our lives.

I instantly reported this to ES who then claimed for 2 weeks they didn’t know what had happened. After endless follow-up emails and calls, their marketing team wrote: “We just found 27 of your boxes in our warehouse”. That obviously makes no sense at all. Having 27 or even 32 boxes/items with the customer name on them sitting in a warehouse for 2.5 months is proof of ES’ total unreliability. The ops team would have spotted them every day. And of course they would know that not all were handed over to the container transportation company. It was only in late Oct when ES finally admitted: “Please note that this is unintentional and merely due to operational error and under staffing as the cargo was initiated on peak season time. ” But none of that led to them taking steps to rebuild trust.

Mistakes happen, but when they happen, real professionals take responsibility. The right way to act would have been to proactively reach out with a plan to accelerate the process of getting all remaining items shipped as soon as possible while ensuring there are no additional delays. But again, that’s clearly not ES’ priority.

The 27 items finally arrived in Australia in late Dec 2022 but were only delivered in early March 2023 – roughly 7 months after the first shipment left Dubai. What caused this horrible additional weeks-long delay was ES’ failure to hand over the paperwork to their Australian partner in time, despite being reminded of it multiple times, as I was told. Plus, when it finally happened, ES still did not even pay them quickly.

ES also never traced the other 5 missing packages. All we were told was “you can claim insurance”. Plus, they sent a false list of these 5 missing boxes. And the Packing and Tally Lists of the 2nd shipment also came with wrong box numbers. The box content descriptions were also not very detailed.

On its website, ES is relentlessly pushing claims like “Easy & Hassle-free Relocation Services” from an “Unbeatable Logistics Service Provider”, and “We’re committed to delivering quality service. ” None of that is even remotely true. It just points at the only thing important to them: endless self-praise.

As another shipping company representative told me: “Some players in our industry believe customers don’t need to be serviced well since they are most likely to use services only once anyway. ” That seems to be the best explanation of what went on here for such a long time.

Professional service. Even there was issue raised on missing item reported, they resolved it professionally and informed the owner all the action plans. Fully satisfied and highly recommended

If you want a peace of mind transferring your personal items from Dubai to London, you should use Elite, I have shipped my items on a 40” container by sea, it arrived on time as they promised even 2 days earlier
They packed all the small and big items from my villa in UAE and unpack and install all items in London, exactly as is, nothing missing, no delays, team in London were highly professionals as well, were extra careful damaging the paint and finished in just one day
I have used a different company in the past and it was disaster, one month delay because they used a vessel that went all over the world before it reached London port, and the companies in Dubai and London lied all the time, and delivered the items damaged, use Elite for a peace of mind, I used them 3 times already

Worst company I used service ever. Not sure where to start.

Communication doesn't exist, from the moment we initiated payment! Our agent stopped responding to our emails, WhatsApp or even answer the phone. Month after they picked up our belongings which happen on 12th of December 2021. Ive send multiple emails asking for help with European carrier that they work with and I was completely ignored. I called Elite Shipping reception, been asked to leave my details every time I called and I was told that my agent will call me back or I will receive WhatsApp which NEVER HAPPENED.

They are working with WFR in Rotterdam, company that supposed to deliver items to your door. First they got our stuff end of February and asked us to pay 295 euro for a shuttle because they didn't have truck that can get close enough to our house. So we changed place of delivery to avoid extra cost. Then they asked to pay 300 euro demurrage fees that occurred due to customs delay. We were informed that once we initiate payment we will after that receive date of delivery for our belongings. That all happened beginning of March. We paid and then problems started. I heard that our agent from Dubai didn't share final release details so they can't process further. 2 weeks later when we finally reached Dubai, we heard that now they need to work on the next possible route for delivery and that usually takes 2 week!

On Friday 13 of May, over 5 months after they picked up our stuff in Dubai we got email that on Sunday they will deliver all. They kept our shipment for 3 months in their warehouse.

We were forced to re-buy a lot of items that was in the container. The time of a move we were with 3 months old baby. Half of the things that were inside by the time it reached our house were too small for her.

Let me highlight one thing in email from agent you'll see nicely written that delivery door to door takes 4 weeks (subject to change) which I would completely understand if it would take total 3 months but not over 5 months!

If I could give this company a zero, I would, but it's not possible, so I give it a 1. Bottom Line Up Front: Avoid this company at all cost. Let me outline the issues:

1. Communication. We arranged for our belongings to be shipped in June 2021. However, due to delays in shipping lines, as of January 2022, the items had not yet been shipped. Elite Shipping failed to communicate to us properly about the delays. There were up to 6 weeks at a time when they ignored our emails or failed to inform us of the latest status, despite sending multiple follow-up emails, WhatsApp messages, and phone calls.

2. Rudeness. The customer service overall presented by the company was very rude. They blamed the customer for the shipping delays, acted flippantly towards the fact that we didn't have our belongings, and accepted no responsibility for the delay at all. Mr. Bakker, the self-proclaimed Managing Director, in particular was very rude, yelling at me on the phone and saying I did not know anything. He also lied to me about what my available options were (see next point).

3. Misrepresentation and misleading information (lying). First of all, the company does not have connections with the shipping lines, because they failed to deliver our belongings. They provided us with alternative shipping options which were an additional $4000.which amounts to extortion ("if you don't pay us, the belongings won't ship"). When we explored other companies, we found a suitable option for only minimal amount more. When Mr. Bakker agreed to process a refund, both he and his company (on email) told us they would not charge storage. However, when the refund was processed, storage was charged. This company is conducting illegal activities, and getting away with it because the UAE is not capable of prosecuting their own laws.

4. Delays in providing the refund. We agreed in January to switch the belongings to a new company, since Elite Shipping failed to provide the services in our contract. Three months passed, and there were still no signs of a refund to our account for any of the amount (agreed or not). They refused to answer our emails and WhatsApp messages for 2 months, and it was only when we filed a case with the Dubai Consumer Protection Department, did anyone respond to us (because they were legally obligated to do so).

Overall, avoid this company at all cost. They need to understand the consequences of poor business practices, unprofessionalism, lying, cheating, fraud, and attempted extortion.

I would like to commend Aireen A.for a job well done starting from the very first phone call until delivering our items to Ireland. The journey is bitter sweet as we have been living in the UAE for 30 yrs and we need to bade goodbye to Dubai finally.

She made our move very smoothly and very cost effective and her sales and customer skills is outstanding. Thank you for your kind attention to us with your friendly yet professional approach!

Update Oct 2021: It has been over 100 days now! And still no updates about my belongings being booked in a vessel.
I have been contacting other Shipping companies in the UAE to check some of Elite's claims, and these other Companies have confirmed that they have successfully booked containers to Vancouver within the last 2 month (through MSC). Others have told me they had issues with the Western port, so they booked through Eastern port and then used Canadian rail service to deliver the container to its destination.
Yet, with Elite, they have failed to this day to arrange a vessel for my belongings and all updates given to my contacts in Abu Dhabi have been repetitive, i.e. They have failed to get a booking with the one line they try with, even though nearly every company I have contacted in the last few days have successfully delivered to Western Canada.

Very disappointing and I stand by my initial review, and will update again in the weeks to come.

Original: My experience has been extremely negative, and even after over two month since they have collected my belongings in June 2021, a vessel to ship my belongings is yet to be booked and my belongings are still in the UAE. I would thus never recommend Elite Shipping LLC to anyone, there are many other companies which you can utilize their services, some even have offered more competitive prices. I believe that choosing them to ship my belongings was a mistake and would not recommend them.

I needed to hire the services of a shipping company to ship my belongings from UAE to Canada, as I was relocated with my family overseas. While the cost provided by Elite Shipping was on the higher side, they did provide me with the best shipping/delivery duration. They also did offer me a discount, and while their price with that discount was still higher than others, they told me that other companies might offer lower prices and then increase it later once I have signed with them, however, for them the price offered will be the only amount I pay and it will not even increase by 1 Dirham. So, I proceeded with them

I have now been waiting for over 60 days from the day they collect my belongings for them to even confirm a shipping date and provide me with the vessel details carrying my belongings, but to no avail. While they used to be prompt in their responses, now I have to send multiple email reminders so that I can hear back from them.

While delays in the international shipping lines are expected due to the COVID situation, this was never something new, but was a matter that should have been known even before finalizing their deal with me. They should have been clear about that like other companies were rather than make promises about shipping durations that they could not meet. Additionally, they should have confirmed a vessel before or soon after taking my money.

Elite Shipping have failed to meet their commitments to me to this date, and are no longer prompt in responding to my emails or messages. People looking for an international shipping company in the UAE can find cheaper companies. I even would have overlooked some of the delays if they had been more transparent and remained prompt in their updates and responses, keeping me in the picture about the reason for the delays and what they are doing to rectify the issue, but keeping me hanging and in the blind, I feel is dishonest, or unprofessional to say the least.

Finally, when I first received their offer it specified door-to-door transit time of 40 to 45 days, subject to custom clearance at both ends. I specifically brought this issue up and said it would not be acceptable for me that my belongings remain in UAE for a month or even two month and then they blame it on custom issues, however, their representative clearly confirmed to me that this is never the case and typically they ship in 15-20 days, and if there are delays they are never that long (the 1 or 2 month I mentioned). Now here we are 60 days later and the shipping vessel is not yet booked!

I had booked a move from Dubai to Singapore, got survey done.
On D-Day, the packers came in, they were very swift and packing and the packing was done pretty securely.
Took extra care of electronics.
Shipment reached Singapore on time and the delivery was also done smoothly.

I used Elite Shipping as I was moving to London and they were very responsive and quick to get back with the process and requirements which was quite helpful. It went very smooth and they even provided bubble wrapping for my fragile items. The only negative point is that you need to make sure they have all the required customs clearance at the destination so your items don't get held in customs. Although that happened with me, they tried helping and sorting it out but it's best to read up on it yourself as it will differ from one case to the other. Overall, great services and I recommended them to a friend who is moving to Canada.

Extremely disappointed and upset with Elite Shipping! They provided NO support with the good insurance and have intentionally ommited my car from the Insurance Form and obviously I have received it FULL of scratches and no help. I recently relocated from Dubai, and shipped my items to Europe, expected delivery was on the 5th of November.items arrived to port but never delivered to my house, no updates from the company.i asked for update on the 11th of november and still no update.today 9/dec i gave them a call and i got the we'll update you tomorrow message.the only update i received was an extra payment for storage fee, i followed up on that email and communication from their side is minimum and still no updates

Let's start with packing in Dubai, I would say the team was extremely professional, they arrived on time, had the right packing materials, completed the job within time with exceptional packing. I certainly would not recommend this company for the sheer fact that a four day delivery turned into a six month nightmare. I planned my shipping around times that I would be in the USA. Was told given the volume they would change and send it by boat (one wasted plane ticket). I got a second ticket for two months later, when I was told it would be there. Only to find out the container did not even go out at that time (second wasted ticket). Three months later the shipment arrived (two weeks prior to when I was told- third wasted ticket). I had to scramble to find someone to be at my home to receive the shipment. Disappointedly, my glass items were broken (waste of money to send) and the delivery guy broken my track light in my yard. Looking at the video it looks like he was angry and deliberately kicked it. I was patient with the company and liked the lady I coordinated with, but overall I am not at all pleased with the service. It took six months to receive broken items and have another item broken in my home.

Did not deliver 1 Item and 2 Items were damaged beyond repair. Poor service and does not answer call if any issue arises during shipment

I’m not sure if Family Stores is part of them but when I received my shipment in USA from Dubai, some cartons were having Elite shipping LLC logo. The worst company ever as the team from Family Stores were punctual and professional in the beginning and in the follow up, but while packing they sent me only 2 people instead of 4 as promised. My shipment reached USA 1 month after the proposed promised time by Dubai team and they were holding my shipment for no reason. They don’t even answer my emails and when I call internationally the Operations Manager keeps saying will check and get back to u, but no answers and no explanation for holding my shipment from Dubai side although I paid extra cost to USA office and port for some delays not caused by me. I received some items in damaged broken condition and 2 cartons were open from the side. I requested for insurance to compensate me as I paid insurance in Dubai and I paid full amount in Dubai in order to send the shipment, but no single reply to my damaged items has been received till date. Again my contract is with Family Stores Cargo and relocations
