Focus Restaurant - Hyatt Place Dubai Jumeirah

What a bad dining experience considering it seemed like a new hotel/restaurant. We went for their Iftar buffet and were extremely disappointed by the stale and tasteless few food dishes which were laid out. Their meat items literally tasted like eating cardboard. To top it up we were charged AED150 per person for using Entertainer 2 for 1 deal, whereas their Iftar buffet price is AED99 (as mentioned on their website and even outside the restaurant). Nowhere was it mentioned about higher prices for using Entertainer. The duty manage at the restaurant was also rude and clueless. So all in all a pathetic dining experience for our group where we even ended up being charged 50% higher than normal customers, for using Entertainer. Considering the tough culinary competition and food options in Dubai, I don’t think they would be able to attract much outside dinners other than the ones already staying at the hotel. Also don’t know who those poor souls are who have rated the restaurant as 4.7. Don’t trust this rating anymore.

We went for iftar as a group and we loved the food…everything tasted good and tge price was a bargain using the entertainer at 150 pp B1G1
The spread was not much but it was enought and nowadays tge quality of tge food and the taste matters more than the number of dishes

Also soft drinks, ramadan juices and tea and coffee were also included

All in all my guests enjoyed their iftar and the staff were friendly and accommodating to all our requests

They don’t have a feeding room though. But overall was a nice experience.

I went here for an Iftar buffet. They had a beautifully laid out buffet which included soup, starters, salads, main courses and desserts; plus plenty of beverage options too for AED 89 per head. There was ample parking available in the basement.

Focus restuarant is a great place to host a dinner, have a great variety of foods available and if you speak with restuarant manager they will customize it according to your need, not only the food but also the surrounding, in our need we discussed with Mr. Manu Antony and he together with Mr. Nafraz (Srilankan) delivered a quality service as promised. We didn't had to worry about single thing. We only tried Asian foods and was tasty. Will definitely go again for otther foods.
Price seems to be reasonable.
Parking differs on the day of the week, usually Thursday and Fridays are little busy otherwise there is good enough parking space.
Covid-19 safety instructions were well maintained.

Friendly staff, great food. I basically eat only breakfast for almost whole month. It was always something interesting to pick. Loved it. Even due coronavirus times, staff help you to enjoy the breakfast.

Good food options during their breakfast and dinner buffets. The restaurant is clean and spacious and have enough variety of food on the stations.
I enjoyed the beef manchurian, chicken stew and pasta Arabiata and watermelon feta salad.
