Usually love this place however went for ladies night and the food was disgusting. It was almost fast food (even bad) my friend literally barely ate anything and went to get McDonald’s it was that bad. Definitely skip ladies night here. I’ll be back for dining but they really need to revise the ladies night offering.

Beautiful terrace top restaurant at an amazing place. The only issue was that the serving size was way too small for a person, but it was tasty.

Yesterday i had a very bad experience with folly, i made a reservation at roof top to take my new date there and it was super impressing that they didn’t reserve for me anything, the host were nice (malika maybe her name) but she couldn’t do anything

They gave us a table down at open area balcony and it was nonsmoking after the host allowed us to smoke, the manager mario came and his attitude & approach was at all not nice! And not acceptable asking us to not smoke again!

I didn’t wanna make problem, so i walk with river and went up again at rooftop

I will never go again to this place after it was my favorite place

Folly’s certain dishes were not for my taste buds, Lamb Steak medium rare is an excellent choice.

We had an amazing meal at Folly's last night!

We thought the service was special and could only be out done by the food itself, Masterpieces with so much flavour and precision to them.

So glad we wondered in, only disappointment was that the terrace was closed because of the heat, that being said the staff were lovely and showed us outside and explained about the 4 terraces they have.

If we come back to Dubai, or shall i say when will absolutely be coming back here.

Very disappointed with the service. Arrived in the afternoon for drinks, they asked us to move out the back. Around 8 staff working and service was not good. Finally moved to the small balcony at the back which was not ideal. We came for sunset drinks but it seemed like they were still setting up and not ready for customers. Will not return.

Valentines day at the folly was just beautiful, the food was delicious, the atmosphere was romantic and the location is stunning.

This is our third time coming here for brunch. The food is beautifully presented and very tasty, the service is good, there's live music and great views from the balcony over the madinat.

Pathetic customer service and follow up!

I am came across couple of reviews with horrible reservation experiences and yet took the chance to reserve with Folly for my anniversary dinner. One day before my reservation date, I was contacted by their staff stating that the reservation has to be moved or cancelled as they have an event happening on the same day. On checking with her why is it being communicated at the last minute and I would like to speak to her Manager. She informed that it was instruction from the Manager and he is not available and just hung up the call stating the reservation will be cancelled.

On calling them again and confronting her on her rude behaviour, she said she didn't cancel the reservation but we wont be accommodated because of the event. As soon as I asked her name, she hung up again!

I raised the matter with the restaurant manager for which he apologised and informed me that he will get back to me after investigating the matter which hasn't happened till date.

You will be charged an exorbitant AED200 fee that they say is refundable after your meal but it’s been almost a month since and despite following up almost daily with Folly (who by the way will blame it on a 3rd party app) we still have not received our deposit refund.

Experience was totally ruined by being robbed of our deposit. Cannot recommend this restaurant. There are better places to eat that also won’t steal your money.

Even though we had a lovely evening it all didn’t quite work out; mostly because of service that is somehow instructed to turn tables even though there clearly isn’t going to be another sitting…

We asked to share most of the their starters, which all arrived well presented and flavourful. Yet to then have 3 oysters and several other dishes that come in uneven quantities and aren’t fully shareable is then a service issue.

The location is beautiful; It was all good, not memorable, which one hopes for when spending more than 1100 on an evening for two.

Booked a dinner for NYE and got stuck in Europe for HEALTH reason. I informed the restaurant many days in advance and still they refuse to refund the deposit. This is so dishonest and feels like a theft! Also tried to call the restaurant many times and for days but no one respond the phone! So unprofessional!

Most of all, our waitor of the night, Alex, was the most patient and friendly server I've met in a higher end restaurant. His thoughtfull service and assistance definitely made the experience even more pleasant.

This is definitely one of the best restaurants in Dubai. Innovative food and exceptional service. Many come for the stunning views, but this place is so much more! Food is simply amazing.

One of the best restaurants in town. Ran by two high end British chefs and set in the iconic souk madinat with views over the souk and canals. Restaurant has outdoor terrace area, indoor, and a rooftop bar and terrace with views over the Burj Al Arab.
Service is wonderful. They do a ladies night on Tuesdays with 3 free drinks for ladies, and there’s a set menu every night which is very reasonable (3 courses for 250 AED).

Perfect for romantic dinner, a fine night out, or a venue to impress.

Went to a recent wedding at the rooftop. Wow! What a great venue for an event. George went above and beyond to please. It was just perfect.

Ambience:
Small, cozy restaurant on the upper floor. It has a small balcony as well but due to weather we sat inside. The tables are super small and very uncomfortable. There isn’t even enough space for ladies hand bag on the chair. The dimensions of the table and chairs are more of European cafe standards than what is the norm in this part of the world.

Food:
Nothing special. The menu is a bit confusing, it’s difficult to understand the dishes reading the menu. I believe that the art of simplicity is the most valued form of art and that applies to everything. Making things sophisticated when there is no need for it just reflects the lack of ability to create a clear simple picture.
The portions are super small, and when trying to order we were told that the portions are tasting sizes as the restaurant was following a fine dining concept. In my opinion nothing about that restaurant was fine dining. Fine dining is not only about small portions of food but rather it should encompass an overall experience which was totally missing in this restaurant.
The food was bland, there was no harmony among the flavors.
The design of the plates were very well thought out though.

I went yesterday with some friends for the unlimited wine and a cheeseboard 2 hours package. Location, drinks and food were excellent with an extra plus from the service point of view. We were being looked after by Salman and Alex and they were extremely polite, professional and always made sure our glasses were never empty. They also organized a little happy birthday surprise to my girlfriend after just overhearing it was her special day.

Totally recommend this experience to anyone and definitely will come back to try the normal menu as well.

Super rooftop for evening drinks, if you don't mind the heat. Lovely drink selection and super staff (especially Salaman). Great buzz off the place, and ideal after you've had dinner in one of the restaurants downstairs.

I can't really review Folly.you simply can't because you can only enjoy the show and leave.

Fantastic meal! Staff were great and very informative regarding the menu. I look forward to revisiting and sitting on the beautiful terrace.

Delicious and innovative food, nicely prepared and freshly made.
The experience at Folly was really nice. The food was tasty from the beginning to the end, while every dish had its own explanation and inspiration.
The selection of wine is great as well and can be paired quite nicely with the dishes.
All in all, I can really recommend the place as it’s made with thoughts to the detail.
Definitely worth a visit.

This place has many different kind of interesting cocktails! The view from our door seats is awesome, you can see the view of Burj al Arab and beautiful sunset:)

Went for dinner with quite high expectations. Unfortunately not a good experience. Starters and mains were so over oiled that there was no taste at all. Service was nice but food literally not even 2*. Not coming back.

We tried a couple of fine dining restaurants in Dubai but this was definitely the best! The signature menue and the wine pairing were delicious and the service was the most attentive and nice we had during our whole stay. They could speak to the food and the wines and after dinner took us to the amazing roof terrace. I would always go there again.

Incredible restaurant. Took advantage of the Dubai food week deal which meant we had the 5 course signature menu for 250 aed each. This was a bargain! Full vegetarian menu as well. Easily the best food we have had in Dubai with excellent service. Looking forward to my next visit.

Exceptional! I think this is the best lunch experience that we've had in Dubai. The tasting menu was excellent.lots of variety and incredible value. There was a good number of staff (and not too many tables) so we always felt like the service was "present". And the staff were very friendly. Also, being able to see into the kitchen added to the positive dining experience. Definitely going back.

Amazing place. Delicious food and incredible service. It’s definitely the best place in Dubai. Highly recommend. I don’t know why you still don’t have a Michelin Star, you deserve it!

Folly is what dining out is perfect for, the food is special, beautifully presented and delicious. The wine is carefully curated and odd at times but always good! Cocktails are classy and delicious. Service is friendly and professional. Oh and Folly also has some of the best views in the world. Can't fault it.

The outdoor terrace has a fantastic view of the surrounding skylines, Jumeirah and access the way is Palm Jumeirah.

We had the guiniefoul sausage and the lamb kafta which were very good. The house fries were well seasoned and a great nibble to have.

All in all great service and friendly service.

It's a restaurant that seems to try too hard with their menu. If you are hungry and wanted a really good full meal, it will disappoint. In saying that, the food is OK if you like experimental, trying to be fancy, good looking food. Portions are small. We also had a waiter that was unpleasant. He kept saying that they have a table with 15 guests and if we don't order soon, our food might only come in 15-20mins. We said it's OK. Saying it once, you brush it off but saying it more than that and it becomes annoying. The place is not even half full.

WARNING: Publique and Folly are NOT on entertainer anymore. Even our waiter didn’t know and thought we were mistaken. Luckily we knew something seemed weird when we walked in on a Thursday night and were very literally the only people here so we checked before ordering. Ruined our anniversary dinner though. So disappointing.

Horrendous ladies night. We waited for 15 mins for a waiter to come to our table and then 20 more mins for the first round of drinks. It took one hour and 5 minutes (!) for the two platters which were the wrong order (we had ordered one of each and they brought two identical ones). The whole area smelled like a sewer as well. Avoid at all costs.

We decided to try Folly however once we got there and talked to the waiter we decided not to eat. People have to understand that this place is elegant dining with very high prices. The food layout looks elegant and probably tastes delicious but we were told very clearly that you need two appetizers and one main to be happy. That would have been about 240dhms on food not to be filled up. Probably not the best place for vegetarians as the choices are VERY limited and well overpriced. I small slice of halloumi and two bits are of bread for 65dhms. Service was perfect when we were there. The other thing I want to point out is the Folly picture on here with Burj Al Arab views is fake. You can only see the Burj if you climb to the top of two staircases. You cannot see when eating. They have photoshopped to make it looked better than it is. View was beautiful though from table but no Burj. We left because we are not elegant diners and went to another restaurant in the Madinat for under half the price and had lunch the next day. Just want people to understand the expectations. Probably 4 star if I was happy to pay the price and not be full:)

Exquisite food, drinks, service and views. Eaten here three times this year and Folly consistently delivers excellent food and service.

One of the better restaurants in Dubai. Professional and extremely polite staff, food - above expectation, ambience - relaxed and beautiful. The views from the outdoor part of the restaurant were all lovely (Burj Al Arab on one of the sides and Madinat Jumeirah on the other side). A great place to have quality time with family or friends. Each and every dish had a very sophisticated presentation. I would definitely visit this genuinely good restaurant again.

Great food, great drinks and a fantastic view. Prices are reasonable with good fast service. Definitely worth a visit! Make sure you visit after 8pm to catch a view of the Burj Al Arab from the terrace outside.

Good food and lovely service; I just wasn't keen on the layout of the menu, which you need a waiter to explain to you due to the sparse use of headings on each page.

Very nice terrace with stunning views. However our experience was not really nice. Very limited offer on bites to be ordered if you are in the terrace and the quality of the same was very poor. Definitely too pricey for the quality. The service was very slow. One of us is following a very strict diet so we requested to order only one dish from the a la carte menu so that person could eat something as there were nothing in the bites menu suitable for her. The response was negative as it was "unconfortable" for them to do so. I would just recommend this place for a drink in the terrace to enjoy the views.
