Amazing experience at Gearbox. I placed an order online and was able to pick up the lens almost immediately. Super efficient process to check in and out with super friendly and fast communication via WhatsApp. Deposit was returned immediately after dropping off the lens. Will definitely be coming back here.

It is a very good company to rent equipment for Photography or video, they have best rental prices along with good support, the only difficult thing to deal with them is, they want you to keep your passport with them as a guarantee or you have to keep the big amount (calculated accordingly) as a guarantee, otherwise they are awesome.

I rented some equipments from Gearbox, & I had great experience, and Their service is very good

This place saves me when I need more equipment for a shoot. Luckily, it is located 10 mins from home

-1 star because it’s super inconvenient to drive all around to cluster T and then go upstairs to their office for pickup and AED 100 for drop off and pick up is a ridiculous price. Careem would be half that price.

-1 star because items are scruffed up and the LCD setting in the camera exaggerated the reds and the brightness. The actual images were completely okay tho so it was just some issue with the screen.

The renting process is straightforward, hassle-free and pretty cost effective. The camera however was not in the best shape. Would i rent from here again? Probably yes. Cause i love that zeiss lens and can’t afford it rn

I had scheduled a safari trip to Tanzania as a ‘side-trip’ after having an extended business trip to Dubai. I wanted to rent a camera to capture the experience. However, renting from the States would have incurred an extraordinary expense to cover the month-long excursion. So, I opted to rent from GEARBOX while in Dubai for the 10-day excursion. Upfront, I know absolutely nothing about modern-day cameras and all the technological advances they offer. The team at GEARBOX went above and beyond typical favorable calls in imparting their help, guidance, and expertise. You can tell that the team at GEARBOX really enjoy what they are doing. Their passion to impart a positive experience permitted me to capture memories during my safari that just can’t be captured on any camera phone. I want to extend my sincere appreciation. Patrick

Good equipment and price, however, bad policy practices of holding people's passports as security deposity. I rebuke this type of practice.

Huge range of camera equipment to choose from. Very polite and professional staff. Reasonable prices and their website makes things much easier when it comes to booking.

I think gear box has a pretty wide range of equipment that gas always benefited me.
All their gear is in pretty good condition.

They are helpful but only to an extent.
When renting a bigger camera set up that requires more batteries or attachments they are not very resourceful or helpful in providing that even when willing to pay for it.

When I spend thousands or dirhams at a gear house I want to make sure I feel that I have everything for the Job. I don’t want to create an uncertainty there.

When going to Lighthouse studio or action filmz, I know they will have every single piece I need. If I can avoid going to Gearbox, I will.

Good Gear Equipment but awful customer service, they make you feel like that they are doing a favor to you and speak in a very rude way, behaving that they are the client not you, save your headache.

Best Gear Equipment Company, been using their services for 3 years now and it has been flawless.

They all have the latest gear, it could be from just trying the latest lens or body before you buy or just need the equipment for a certain project its a click away from booking it.

This place really gives you the "New Kids On the Block" feeling. Its run by young ambitious entrepreneurs who know their craft. The GEARBOX picked up my BMW X6 and fixed the issues that four other garages could not. The price was reasonable and the pick-up/drop-off service was a life saver! I would absolutely recommend The GEARBOX for all your car needs.

Borrowed two lenses from them this week. Amazing customer service and absolutely no issues encountered. Thank you for the pleasant experience!

Heres the thing. I've always had pretty good experiences with them. They work with me. They take my bs when I'm moody and dealing with fussy clients but now.they changed the policy so that it's only online payment which is annoying to say the least because my clients typically pay after.which means that it's coming from my pocket first which isnt always the easiest.what's up freelance life. Now that I'm trying to create an account for the company as to add a card to that account I cant do it just via email. Tried to do like what I would consider their guest check out and still faced problems. It's really really unfortunate that there wasnt some sort of email blast or something informing the consistent client of these changes.

They just need to fix the calendar system in the website, because most people think you have to rent for minimum 2 days.

Awful customer service. From condescending behaviour to blaming customers for their own mistakes. Not sure how long they'll survive. In my opinion you are better paying a bit more and going to a more professional outfit like Hot Cold Rental.

The attendants are often very rude, the gear lineup is inconsistent and incomplete, management does not exist or maybe just can’t be bothered to support with customer service, feels like being treated like a thief every time you try to rent anything.
The delivery came 40 minutes late from the agreed time, none of the lenses came with lens hood, apparently professional photographers don’t use them (that’s seriously their motivation lol)
Only positive note is Archie that at least tries to make this hot mess look presentable and approachable. Bottom line if you need gear go to a real rental place

The worst customer service, I've ever got in UAE.and don't even think to escalate your issue to the manager and explain what you faced with one of their employee, simply he'll answer he is good guy as he's pointing that the issue is YOU!

Great place to get camera’s, photography accessories and videography equipment for rent at very affordable prices. All the products available for rent are up on their website. Staff is very friendly and knowledgeable, the only issue remains is finding parking at rush hour.
