Gold's Gym Al Musalla Tower

Gym has been permanently shut and I have my half membership left (6months). Manager (Umesh) at Reef mall branch has still not called me back.not replied to my emails. Have registered a complaint with Ded (Consumer rights) to take action and process my refund. Gold gym you cannot take a solo decision and force members to travel to your other branch which is far and not convenient to us. You don't even deserve that 1 star on this post/review unfortunately it wont allow me to post the review then.

I have complaint in consumer rights dubai today I received call from them to use another branch or take your refund from dubai court.
And this will be my last membership in gold gym,
Fitness first has far more better option than this.

Dear Team Golds Gym.

Its just been 2 months since i have signed up for the annual package and one fine evening you just shut the branch without prior intimation only a message is sent asking us to visit other branch.why will i visit any other branch there is a reason for choosing this branch btw was it the plan to accommodate as many members as possible in form of discounted membership and then just close it very bad kindly share the contact where i can reach and discuss what needs to be done Thankyou!

I have membership of year not even a month is completed and they have been shut down and their customer services are not responding as well.

Just 15 days ago, I paid for 6 months membership and Yesterday on 28-07-2021, I got SMS explaining the Gold Gyms is closed and we can transfer membership to another branch. The provided number is not answering. Very unprofessional behavior. If they wanted to close the branch then why they were keep on asking for the payment up to 6 months?

Facilities provided by GG Musalla Tower are excellent compared to other stand-alone gyms in the area. Have been working out here since 2018. My focus has been mostly into weight training, so the other areas such as group sessions/ swimming haven’t been reviewed here.

Pros:

Massive Gym, with 20,000 sq ft in the heart of the city

Parking facilities available (3 hours per day for gym members)

Cleanliness (Most important during these times). Janitors are perfect in their job.

Equipments (Most of ‘em are from TechnoGym, a well known fitness brand) with connectivity to TM application (downloadable from AppStore) to track your workout sessions. The seated row machine from Technogym, which can be rarely found in other gyms, is available here.

WiFi and Bluetooth connectivity - Gym provides WiFi access in the Main floor. You can connect your wireless earphones in to treadmills, to listen to YouTube videos/ music

Workout Music - mostly Pop workout / EDM played here. Good selection of tracks. However, you can still use your own device to listen to music (YouTube/ Spotify/ other media)

Mobile App- The gym has its own mobile app to access the gym (you don’t have to carry your gym membership card) and even to book your group classes in advance.

Amenities - Lockers and showers - Available. They used to provide towel, water stations and mats for workout before the pandemic started. Members can use vending machines installed in the gym to purchase refreshments as and when needed.

Cons:

Crowded during 7-10 pm on weekdays (as of Jan/feb 2021). Social distancing is not strictly observed by the members. Would recommend to accept members based on prior appointments during this time.

Personal Training sessions - If you’ve the know-how to workout with proper form, you might save on optional personal training sessions. There are no floor Trainers available to advise on form unless you opt-in for PT sessions (Club offers complimentary training sessions - 2/3 sessions based on the membership package opted, which might not be sufficient for a novice gym goer)

Areas of improvement:

Gym etiquette - Managment should consider giving an initial induction on gym etiquette to the new joiners. As a lot of guys doesn’t even bother to re rack the weights in place after use, as it bothers other members to vouch for weights / equipments which’s scattered across the gym. Incentivizing proper gym etiquette should be considered by the Managment.

Overall, I’m delighted with the experience so far, with GG Musalla tower and will definitely recommend to anyone who wants to keep up their health and fitness.

Ask for Ms. Ela for Membership.

Dont go for the name of Golds gym, its not a luxury branch.very crowded.the trainers wont show interest until you fill their pockets. Most of the weights are displaced and you have to search for it and the sales staff are very rude too. Disappointed to see how a franchise spoils the name of a brand.

Be careful they are cheaters and scam the fool people by promoting their unethical offers which they will never reveal u, once you go the sales people based on profiling they give package They sell You the package take money that’s all after sales is worst worst worst be careful there big-time scam.

One of the best gym to workout. Good surrounding with best staff. Best equipment and a well maintained swimming pool. Selma, James, Ella, dheeraj are one of the best staff people who always help the clients and guide them innate proper way to have the best plan for keeping us fit

It’s been more then a year with gold gym (Hamriya).
Love the congenial atmosphere they are very hygiene and punctual.

Mica (front desk) she is very kind and she always proactive and gives the informative upon my queries. Mica keep that up.

Well a good place to workout with all the equipments available if you know how to workout by yourself.

Caring staff and trainer motivates to visit Gym regularly. Ignitius Mpanuka is very focused, dedicated and most caring trainer. Who cares for everyone and check personally for right exercise movement, posture and holding of instruments during classes. He notices discomfort of attendees if any and takes personal care of everyone in class. The reception staff is too caring and helping. So over all good experience with Gold's Gym Musalla Tower.

The gym is excellent and all the exercises are fabulous and the communication is good also the digital services are good

High quality diverse group of classes; great selection of equipment and of good condition as well; parking is not a problem; instructors, managers, staff and cleaners are all nice and knowledgeable; members are nice to one another-very friendly community!

GG Al Musalla has great fitness classes i.e. Zumba, Body Pump, Body Combat, RPM [Biking] etc. I do like the instructors as they have such passion and energy for what they do! They have everything I need for a workout and it is close to my home!

Ignitius Mpanuka is the best body jam trainer ️ in gold gym. I really liked his session.his class is always full of energy, positive Atmosphere and lots of fun. Everyone enjoyed in his class.

Good gym in prime location. They have higher end equipments. Good staffs and trainer. Very hygienic. Excellent swimming pool and other amenities. A bit higher on price but worth it.

Very very rude and arrogant behaviour of Al Musallah branch, Manager. He must be given training to handle the customer. I would recommend my group, who are already member, not to continue in future.

Pathetic customer service at your Golds Gym Al musalla tower branch. The manager of the branch (Manish) was very rude with me and couple of friends who wanted to take on the yearly membership since they were providing a trail session with Golds today. Due to the attitude of the manager, they have changed their mind. I personally should review this as the worse gym and the customer service I have ever experienced, also would like to bring to the kind attention on the franchise since they are spoiling the name of #Goldgym

I had been a member and experienced average service by staff.price is too low for that much of things thay are offering like swimming, gym, dance class etc.

I HAD BEEN MEMBER FOR GOLD GYM FROM ALMOST 2 YEARS. I AM VERY DISAPPOINTED WITH THE SERVICE. EVEN TERMS AND CONDITIONS ARE VERY WEIRD I WAS LEAVING FOR A VACATION, ASK THE STAFF TO BLOCK MY CARD (ONLY 1 TIME IS ALLOWED ANNUALLY), HOWEVER SHE REFUSED AS IT WAS MY LAST MONTH AND THEY HAVE CONDITION THAT CARD CAN BE BLOCKED FROM 1ST DAY OF THE MONTH ONLY.

STAFF ARE NOT SUPPORTIVE AT ALL, NO INSTRUCTOR WILL GUIDE OR EVEN HELP YOU. LOCATION IS GOOD, HOWEVER DUE TO RUDE STAFF AND PATHETIC RULE S AND CONDITION I HAVE DECIDED NOT TO RENEW MY MEMBERSHIP.

Staff are only interested in signing you up. Willing to stoop to any deceit or dishonesty necessary to achieve said objective.

Equipment is at best mediocre. Many other better value gyms in close proximity.

Overly crowded gym. I could understand the incentive to have personal training but having no floor supervisor is simply outrageous. Lot of first time membera do the exercises with wrong movement but there is no one to correct them. The swimming pool is poorly kept. They took 2.5 months for a maintenance which was originally supposed to last 1 month and even there is only one change- replacement of broken tiles.jacuzzi still doesnt work, the shower section is as dysfunctional as ever, pool lights still not working.i can go on and on and on and then again they close the pool for further maintenance.absolutely pathetic.not renewing membership ever again.

Its a office tower, there was a adjoining Mussala Mall which is now closed and under reconstruction. Gold gym, prima care clinics are some known facilities in Mussala tower. Location just walking from Al Fahidi Metro station

Great place for workouts. Amazing infrastructure, good team, perfect location, Professional Trainers.

There are many businesses in this tower and easy accessible by Dubai Metro. Nearest station is Fahidi

Good place for a person determined for bodyfitness. Rahil is one of the best representative who is encouraging and customer focused. And provides genuine suggestions. And stayes to his commitment. Easy access from metro station and accessible by bus as well. However offers are valied for short duration.

Gym do have equipment and a good swimming pool.
But some good machines are not working and are left there without fixing, eg KINESIS machine. I have seen this equipment put there unfixed since the day I joined!
Another thing is that they don't provide bags and water bottles for all. Have been asking them, but useless, just says they don't have stock at present.

Al musalla tower in Burdubai is one of the places I visited and I think it's so great tower with good services
