My go to Aquarium Shop in Dubai. Has lots of options for aquarium items only that they don't have live aquatic animals selection on their website which is a bummer.

Very bad customer service no one answers chat on WhatsApp and they the only shop in world who don’t deliver live stock i dont know why really very bad experience i dont recommend to deal with them online i dont know what if you visit the store

Very good products. Wide variety of fishes and plants. The attendant is knowledgeable about the products they are selling and knows a lot about setting up beautiful aquariums with plants and stuff. Numerous aquarium accessories to choose from like pumps, CO2 atomizers, lamps and aquariums if various sizes. Very accessible.

Everything which I have ordered next day GDA Team told me its out of stock. Stock should be mention out of stock on catalogue.

(Freshwater aquarium) One of the worst customer service, I was enquiring about setting up new tank at home, shop guy was never interested didn even move from counter, shop was empty and he was doing something at the counter, all one word replies not even looking at me, rude and attitude, I do not recommend this place to anyone new. I was asking 100questions to even get 10replies, he should be volunteering to educate me or even upsell his products, his response was like i dont care if u buy or not, My wife felt offended and we left the place decided to not ask any more

The 2 stars are for the team, especially the Philipino guy who always support me when visiting! But my experience is bad! Got some fancy shrimp species for my aquarium and they all died! However im not new to the hobby as I have more than 100 shrimp in different tanks! - Updated (Again I'm not new to the hobby and I know the difference between the shrimp species, with that being said already in my first review, you continue and reply with a very rude attitude) Not my place anymore! There are thousands of other shops in Dubai with better quality and customer service. 0/10 this is my review! The one star goes to your team

The fish are poor and Lake off experience shrimps always dying when I buy them they don’t take care of their shrimps properly this is the last time I visit the shop

Really nice place for freshwater fish. Marine is in another branch. The person was quite helpful and the prices were quite good.

Please note that your fish are very weak as yesterday itself 7 Neon Tetra and 1 Siamese Algea eater fish were dead within 3 hours of purchase. TDS meter bought didn’t have battery as well. However, 10 Rummy Nose Tetra which where given from Your planted aquarium still remains healthy. I couldn’t even try to acclimatize them. I am totally disappointed

Very dissatisfied with customer service!

1- Contacted the WhatsApp number to enquire about crabs, by the time I got a final reply after several reminder, they only had very limited stock available
2- Asked if I can pay and reserve (since I reside in a neighboring country) and the transfer was done immediately
3- on the day of collection (9 days later), surprised to hear that “the crabs have died” and “we don’t take reservations on livestock”

Why was this not mentioned before the payment was done? !

If at least I was told prior that they cannot reserve, or at least notified that crabs have died before the day of collection, it would have been a different case and experience

This must be my 3rd-4th time dealing with this shop, but seems like this is not enough to appreciate from their side

Reliable shop. The fishes here are strong.
They don't have a extensive variety of fishes but what they have is really good. The tanks are clean and you don't find any dead fishes floating in the tank, unlike many other shops. They give you a good deal for higher numbers. The aquarium accessories are also good and at competitive rates.

Will definitely recommend Green Desert.

Staff have no co-ordination.
I purchased a Chihiros WRGB2 light from the store few weeks ago. Due to some reason there was a damage in the LED’s. I visited the store for the light to be examined. I was asked to take the light back home that day. Later in the week i was called by a staff to come pick it for an exchange. I drove from Sharjah to Dubai, reached the store & was later told it was a staff error & i was given wrong information to visit the store for an exchange. I had to wait in the store & was later told that i will have to leave the light there for further examination. I left the light & returned home only to buy another light to support my plants & fish. On 26-06-21 i was contacted by another staff from the store who informed me that the LED’s were in contact with water & so damaged & not covered in warranty. I was also informed that the light will be sent to me by courier so i don't to come to the store. Today 01-07-21 the light has not reached me & when called the store as usual there is no co-ordination. When asked the staff on duty about my light she had no clue about it & has asked me to wait till she gets an reply from the person i spoke to.

“Quick rectification”

Selling wrong product.before buying online better contact them to make sure that you are getting the right product. I recently purchased Ich-X for freshwater and marine aquarium but received Ich-X for saltwater which has a different solution from the fresh water. In their website it is clearly shown as “Ich-X for fresh water and marine aquarium” but the truth is they ONLY have the saltwater version.
Kindly review and correct the photos on your website to avoid misleading customer purchasing wrong products.

They contacted me and told that they will bring the correct item in exchange of the previous one.
I received what I purchased online today and happy for the quick rectification by the staff.

Very clean, very polite staff, found everything an aquascaper or a fish keeper need, they have a nice variety of product/ fishes I strongly recommend, their prices are the best.

Very friendly staff and knowledgeable as well. A wide array of fish and invertebrates to choose from and a lot of plants, products and options for aqua scaping, everything under one roof.

Guys be careful when you buy fish from them. I’ve got 3 cardinal tetra left alive out of 10, and 1 rummy-nose out of 5 I bought from them. And all my other tetra including neon and rummy-nose now have Ich. And I’ve been keeping these tetras for last 1.5 years with 0 death. Infestation has been there for immediately when I introduced those fishes in my tank. They looked sick when I bought them, but I was told they’re fresh arrival and this is how they look by staff there.

Be careful guys. Don’t do same mistake as I did. Find other place to get your fishes. Plants should be ok.

Definitely recommend this aquarium shop. I visited multiple times and the fish and plants I got was healthy and worth the price. Good to share and give a 5 star to this shop and the staff.

Last time I go to buy fish & check a person work inside ask us to wait outside in very bad manner and always rude to talk.you can say in polite style.im customer and paying for it and not take for free.no welcoming frame of mind from staff, when I looking with my friend they say to do quickly if not buy.when you call in mobile number also they speak in very rude way.i think all customers have treatment in same way like how they behave to us as if we not have finance to buy because my friends also have same opinion of person work there.
When ask to speak to owner of company he say call other shop in al karama because he is there.arrogant and unfriendly staff.very unhappy

Very bad customer service. I payed for 10 shrimps and the sales person gave me only 6. I didn't even check it while in the shop as I am thier regular customer so I tusted them. Later when I took the shrimps at home and found out they gave me only 6 shrimps. Therefor, I have whatsapp them about this matter, they just simply checked and ignored my message they could at least say' sorry' or 'compensate afterward '. Really bad customer service this time.
Update: I have whatsapp Mohammed Riyaz who is a member of this shop. I came on 15 Nov around 1 or 2pm.

Very expensive guy. Prices are random. We bought a betta fish for Dhs. 65 which they used to sell for Dhs. 45 which was already expensive. They confuse you by saying it is premium variety. We bought a water dechlorinator for dhs. 49.
Reply to the response below: 'Showgrade variety only' does not justify them to charge any amount randomly.

Easily one of the best retail stores available for any aquascaper. Prices are reasonable and also taking Into consideration the live stock of plants and fish available that are not easy to find elsewhere, they are also very helpful to any hobbyists in taking down requests and shipping any specimens based on requests.

Over priced and selling damaged (almost died) aqua plants for normal rates and saying it's discounted, unfortunately we were beginners and we bought it for his price and later came to know about the market price.
We felt like we being cheated.
Never to that shop again

Couple of times i experience different prices from the group chat and in the actual shop so its kinda disappointing i hope you fix this.

Perfect place for hobbyists, Edwin is helpful guy, Knowledgeable staff, Hotspot for live stock, Reccomended.

Pretty disappointing when the facebook page is advertising a sale, you drive 40mins to the shop only to find it closed for an hour for lunch. Heard of Talabat? Pretty sure it was the storekeeper who watched me try the door then drove off.

They have a great selection of aquarium plants and some amazing fish as well. Very good prices.

Amazing selection of fish and shrimp food, the accessories were amazing too. The prices were a little steep but if you want quality and good selection of fish, shrimps and their related products.this is your place to be

This shop seems to be closed all morning until late afternoon even though the advertised timing should be open from 9am till 10pm. Waste of time if you go here in the morning. Nonetheless they have a nice collection of aquarium items and live aqua plants.

I had a very bad experience at the shop
I've been breeding fish shrimp and aquascaping both fresh and salt water for 4+ years now
The guy had a huge attitude issue I suppose he wasnt happy selling me the fish, it was like he was doing me a favor by selling me 10 ember tetras

Long story short when I reached home, all 10 tetras were dead, for what ever reason

Starting off,
He stressed the fish so hard by swishing them around like flies to catch them (can be cause of death)
Then he put them in some plastic container then to another one before putting them in the bag (no idea wht was in the container might have been the cause for death)
Then they were handled preety rough again in the bag before being handed to mee
They were all colorless but it's fine as fish tend to do that in stress
I got them home and before I could even drip acclimate them (not needed for fish)
4 were dead, 3-5 mins into acclimation all died (air stone was added during acclimation)
I see no cause from my side as I've been doing this for years with fish and especially shrimp (ik I dint go wrong anywhere) I hadn't had them for long enough to be my fault either
It was supposedly the fish were really sick in that tank due to stress, illness, water parameters etc or the stress he induced while given them to me over the period of 3-5 mins was enough to kill them
