Grill & Chill Restaurant

Dubai and food are like finding a needle in a haystack.
Since this restaurant was in close proximity to our accommodation, we ventured there despite the somewhat poor reviews. The location is not the best as it is located directly on a street. But there is something about this too, as you can eat here very cheaply and, in our opinion, deliciously and watch the hustle and bustle on the street.
If you're not put off by the noise of the street and people rushing past, you should try the food here.
We also noticed a lot of locals eating out here. So in general it doesn't seem to be as bad as rated.
We ate for two people for just under €20 (under 80AED) plus drinks and two large juices.
Overall, we were here twice during our stay and would go again on our next visit if we were to stay in this corner.

I specifically order leg part of the chicken but they brought me breast part which is I hate and it’s supper dry. They admited that it’s their fault but they forgot to put the note. Still simple instruction they cannot follow.

The guy that makes juices on Friday night 19 Jan 2024, I was checking on the process of how they make their juices though the window after I ordered two type of juices, he was putting ingredients in the blender and just right there when I caught him scooping something with his bare fingers! I immediately made a scene there and demanded to make me a new clean juice. The audacity to do this with his bare fingers while the gloves are available! At least scope it with a spoon I wouldn’t mind!
If this can happen and you can see it through the open window of the juice kitchen, I cant imagine what can happen in the other kitchen behind closed doors!

P. S.the juice kitchen window is covered with fruits but you can see through them. He did not notice me when I was watching him.

Restaurant for quick food, very simple but good and welcoming. On the menu there are many dishes from different cuisines (Indian, Arabic, etc.). The tables are almost all outdoors but in Dubai this is not a problem. Welcoming staff and fairly quick service. To try.

Amazing customer service. They treated us like their friends and family.
The food was very tasty, specially BBQ biryani was beyond our expectations, we ordered it twice in 2 days.

Grill & Chill impresses with its casual, inviting ambiance and scrumptious, well-seasoned grilled dishes. The staff is amiable, though peak hours can slow service. Vegetarian options are satisfying, and the desserts are creatively delightful. Moderately priced, the overall experience feels worth the cost. Cleanliness is maintained meticulously. An enjoyable spot for a laid-back meal.

I have now been here multiple times and tried a variety of items from the menu.

Fish is well spiced, well cooked and a pleasure.

Salads are not worth ordering and poorly executed (also expensive).

Breads are really very very good - the garlic naan is exceptional!

Indian Gravies of all types are balanced, well spiced, well portioned and representative of the region. I have very much enjoyed the vegetarian and meat based gravies.

A particularly good part of the menu is the fried and crispy section, will excellent falafel, samosa, chips, crumbed prawns and spring rolls.

I believe its one of the better multi cuisine menus, with items like oatmeal, as much as dosa, sandwiches, burgers etc.

Language can be an issue with staff, but they try hard and are friendly.

Really well executed food of all types and is perfect for all meals, all tastes, all day.

Happy to go back and happy to recommend this place.

Really disappointed by the staff service,
I used to visit this restaurant because of some selectively good food items, but I think they are not interested in taking small orders, if you point out about the staff’s rude behaviour to manager for a fact he ignores your feedback and really doesn’t care about it.

Rude and unprofessional staff made for an unpleasant experience at this restaurant And when we went to the manager to complain he just ignored us and moved out. Would not recommend. It's disappointing to see such a lack of customer service and professionalism from a restaurant. I cannot recommend this establishment to others.

Yes, it’s not a restaurant with the excellent service. But. It’s a good cafe. It has a various dishes. From noodles to rice, from burgers to ice cream. We lived near to this cafe and visited it. Good price for Dubai marina.

As I'm writing this right now I'm very angry or devastated, I'm just coming from this restaurant right now I saw waiters standing and I asked them for a place to sit they gave me then after that they go and started serving other white skin I'm black skin and I just feel like thats why they choose to ignore me I sit for about 25mins without any menu list or anything, then I later decided to leave i just told the guy who was close to that ' so here you only serve white skin? ' Then he grabbed the menu book and tried to give it to me was it necessary?

Awesome food for negligible price. If you wanna eat out, but don’t have a lot of money - it’s the best place for you. Anyway if you are tired of fancy restaurants you can try this place and get new experience in Dubai

I went there yesterday for having dinner. The place is so noisy and one of the waiter behaviour is so rude to us. I called him to take our order he denied. He told me that I’ll come later he denied on that moment after that he was not even realising his mistake he showed us to bad attitude. They have full of bad manners. Don’t know how to talk to the guest and how to take the order. The waiter is behaving like the boss oh my god such a cheap staff. Very disappointed

We have tried grill & grill restaurant and the chicken is tasty, noodles and bread is good too. They have chinese, arabic cuisine. The staffs are approachable and friendly. They have outside and inside venue with good view. They also have reasonable price.

They are walking distance near DMCC metro station tram side.

I had only ordered take out from here and the food is reasonably good at affordable prices. I went there for lunch and its a nice place to have grill and chill) limited indoor seating but nice seating space outside.

Nice place located near DMCC metro exit 2 walking towards Jabel Ali. (MARINA BEACH ROAD) Reasonable, I had one grill king fish, with fish curry, chapati, porotha and sweet Kunafa, this all total costed me 50. The service is bit slow as this place is crowded.

Very pathetic mix grill, they are mis leading customers, they are showing SPL mix grill of AED 40 un the menú, but when we are ordered they sent normal mix grill, secondly ítems in the mix grill was rotten not cooked, hummus they sent was pathetic not seems like hummus, when we raised concern thier staff was arguing proving them right, we had only raised concern to rectify the issue not demanding anything in return but inspite of apololizing for thier mistake they are trying to prove us wrong. For sure we will not order anything from griils and chill ask our friends to do so, pathetic restaurant.

This place has staff which is very slow, unprofessional. Food is okay but it takes time once you place order and makes you sit unattended for long time. I remember this place when it was having some Pilipino staff and the orders were quick on dine in as well as for delivery.
Please improve your professionalism as I have experienced the same thing twice in one week. Also, Increase your staff, your staff looks like they are tired and not passionate to take orders quick. Management must take this seriously.

I’ve been ordering here for the past two years! I actually love the food but they have a really arrogant staff (gave me a fake name and he claimed to be the manager)! His way of response to me forced me to not order from this restaurant anymore!

I wish if there is a negative star to rate this restaurant. The only specialty of this restaurant is unprofessional & impolite staff. Could not able to deliver the order in 1: 45hrs when 40mins delivery commitment was made by themselves. During the follow up the behavior of the order taker was aggressive and he was keep on lying that the driver is just near your building. On the 8th call when I told him do not lie better to cancel if you cannot deliver, and he happily said YES and hang up the phone. It was a real VOW moment and now I found out why they are not registered with any reputed online ordering app.

It is a nice restaurant but the Manager Mr Majid guy who pretends to be boss of these staff is very rude. I used come to this restaurant for breakfast and dinner sometime but once he misbehaved with me stating that you are not allowed to drink tea here which is sold at the same restaurant grill n chill whatever. I don't know wether his logic was right or wrong but his way of embarrassing and conveying the message was a harssment. I doubt the footpath outside the restaurant belongs to grill and chill? And how come Is he allowed to put his chairs outside the shop?

DEAR OWNER I would request you to teach him proper way of communicating with customers of grill n chill or else people will stop coming here.

I HAD A FRIENDS GATHERING YESTERDAY AS WE ALL ARE CELEBRATING BEAUTIFUL HOLIDAYS THESE DAYS. WE WERE 20 PEOPLE BUT TRUST ME WE DIDN'T GO TO YOUR RESTRAUNT YESTERDAY BECAUSE OF MY LAST EXPERIENCE. WE WENT TO A DIFFERENT RESTRAUNT.

Next he does it again, I swear I will not say anything but I will call cops and file a case against grill and chill

The way he embarrassed me over there in front of everyone was pathetic. I could have raised issue there and then but thought of informing the owners first thinking that may be they will take the correct action.

We've been ordering here for the past year and I must say, food is good and affordable. The only downside is the prompt service. It takes more than an hour, even 2 hours for our orders to arrive.

Also, staff should be taught what is customer service. Don't leave your customer orders and follow ups unattended.

When a customer placed an order on WhatsApp, always acknowledge it. It's me who always ask their staff to acknowledge my order, if it was placed or not.

Was trying to call them coz I want to check on my orders but ignoring my calls even my messages.

We will never order from this restaurant again.

It's a good place to get decent grilled chicken. The staff is very friendly and helpful. The only downside is that a lot of people is smoking outside so try to sit inside to avoid that or better yet their takeout is also great.

Tried their delivery service after picking up the menu from very welcoming staff & was delighted at the generous portions even for takeaway!
We ordered the Noodles meal deal which had tasty noodles with chicken, veggies & scrambled eggs, a portion of chicken manchurian (would recommend less salt), 2 small pieces of chicken Lollipops, condiments & a drink all for 22Dhs!
We also ordered the Chicken Hyderabadi Biryani which came with Raita & gravy. You do need the gravy or will feel dry. The flavours were subtle & perfectly balanced.
Overall, Delicious food without breaking the bank

If you're looking for Indian or chinese restaurants in the Marina area and don't want to make a hole in your pocket, this is the place to go!

Had Chicken Tikka Masala and Triple Schezwan Chicken both of which lit up my taste buds that were craving spicy but on point food from the respective cuisine categories. Ambience and service could do a bit better, but then again you're not paying too much so shouldn't go about complaining either.

My food was served after an hour. It was sitting on the cashier area for 30 mins and NO one bothers to bring it on my table! The chicken was raw! So disappointed. I will never ever recommend this place.

If you ever tried to eat in this place.do a favor for yourself and check the food very well.chicken is marinated with out any cleaning.full of blood.red blood.smell very bad.and this is just a grilled chicken you can imagine other food with more integrations.i complain to the WhatsApp number they didn't even say sorry. NEVER RECOMMENDED.

Very good value for money. A wide variety of food. A bit noisy sometimes when sitting outside but not enough to stop me returning frequently. Joseph the Filipino guy is top class as a host.
